Incredible stay in Balmain East!

We had a wonderful experience staying in Balmain East. Fantastic home with well equipped kitchen, great master suite, and plenty of room for our family. Super convenient to the ferry and local buses. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. It had a wonderful view and was in a nice quiet location.We were pondering the need for a car but found the public transport very good. Just a short walk to the ferry that takes you into the city where trains and buses were aplenty.The house had everything we could need and our host Marika was very helpful indeed. Definitely happy to recommend this house to future visitors.Worthy of note is that the lower floor is pretty much a self contained apartment in its own right. Great for the family dynamic we were travelling with.

Exceptional house, location, and host. Walking distance to ferries that will take you wherever you’d like to go and walking distance to a great neighborhood with exception food, coffee, etc. View from the house is incredible and amenities are top notch.

We had a lovely stay in Balmain East. Great views over the harbour watching boats go by all day. It was lovely Marika provided a lot of basics such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. one night we even had fireworks go off in front of the house in the harbour. We did see the fireworks in Darling Harbour but view is slightly restricted to fireworks going up in the sky. It was easy to catch the ferry and the bus went straight into the CBD in about 20mins. So no need for a car when staying at the house. We used the bus to go to the shops in Balmain too. We would love to stay there again when next in Sydney.

The weather in Sydney was awful but what made the week was the fantastic property. We all absolutely loved the views and it felt like home from home. The ferry to Sydney was so close and easy to use! The owners son was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We cannot recommend the house highly enough (and we don’t usually leave reviews). A very special time in a special property!

Lovely house in a great location

We loved our stay in Marika's lovely house. The location is great, close to restaurants, pubs and shops. Ferry and bus stop 5 minutes walk away, giving access to the whole city. The views from the house were great and the house had everything we needed. Marika always responded quickly and was a great host.

We had a fabulous stay at the property. Marika couldn’t have been more helpful and the set up of the house worked really well for our 3 families staying there. The position is fantastic and very easy to access public transport. Parking at the house is a little tricky especially if you have a large car but Marika gave us advice where to park that was very convenient. Marika provided a generous food start up, the kitchen was very generously set up and it was great to have a laundry with an indoor clothes line. The views over the Harbour are stunning!

Family get together

Our family came together for a wedding. The house was well appointed. Maria was a lovely host and always available. The house is centrally located in beautiful Balmain! A home away from home.

Birthday Gathering

Great stay and perfect for our family. Two kitchens and two living rooms. Outside balcony and patio overlooking harbour. Kids loved the pool. BBQ was great. Fabulous harbour views.

Gorgeous Views, Quiet Area

We enjoyed our stay at Balmain East. The home has a beautiful view, and is very close to the ferry wharf. The area is quiet and feels very safe. We found the beds to be comfortable. Marika was very easy to communicate with both prior to and during the stay. The home is well suited to families.

Gathering for family of 6 during a school break from the Up Over. Prompt & thorough communication in the booking process and clear instructions for check in. House immaculately clean with well equipped kitchen & laundry.Dramatic waterfront pool & outdoor dining area. 7 minute walk to the Balmain East ferry & onward throughout the amazing ferry network. Local restaurants were varied with friendly & well trained staff. Tough convincing some of our family members to come home (and we live in Hawai’i)!

Amazing Property

If you are looking at this property you need to book it now. Amazing house in an amazing location. You will not be disappointed from first booking to any questions we had Marika could not do enough for us. This is a special place with all you could ask for.
