I welcome guests to my holiday home, a completely remodeled North Lake Tahoe cabin - modern convenience and comfort in one of Tahoe's most central lake and mountain destinations, Carnelian Bay. Perfectly located between Tahoe City and Kings Beach. This is the perfect home to enjoy friends and family by night and explore all Lake Tahoe has to offer daily. It is a short drive to three major ski resorts and national forest trails at the end of the street, boasting an unlimited network of summer and winter trails. Less than 10 minutes to Tahoe City nightlife. 2 bedrooms and an additional 2 Queen beds on the mezzanine level. Sleeps 8 comfortably with 1 King and 4 Queen beds.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels, and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please ensure the dishwasher is empty, and if not, please wash and dry the dishes by hand
Please DO NOT wash bedding. All bedding is processed off-site by our amazing cleaning crew. Please put all used bedding and towels in a pile in the dining area.
Please remove all trash and open food from the refrigerator, ensure all garbage is separated into recycling and waste, and secure the green trash bear box.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Parking: Lot parking for four cars only in designated driveways. Street parking is strictly prohibited.
Noise: Parties are not permitted in this neighborhood as we have older permanent resident neighbors. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 9 am
Trash: All trash must be disposed of carefully and securely in the bear box provided. No loose trash - all must be bagged and tied.

A Kiwi native graduating from Otago University in New Zealand, I moved to San Francisco, California, in 2002, where I work in the Medical field. Drawn to the outdoors from a young age, in my spare time, I enjoy biking, hiking, paddleboarding, and surfing. I still reside in Marin County with my wife and 2 kids.

Why they chose this property

At first sight, I fell in love with this home as it is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood with a yard and a view of Lake Tahoe. The sun rises above the mountain tops on the far south side of the lake, streaming into the living room and dining room, providing warmth in the winter. Just 2 1/2 miles from the lake and 15 miles to the world-class ski resorts of Northstar, and 11 miles through Tahoe City to Squaw Valley. With lake, mountain, and trail access all close by, I intend to vacation here with friends and family for years to come.

What makes this property unique

In 2015, I completely remodeled this home, completing a new deck in 2022. We kept the ceiling for the cabin feel, installed a gas-burning fireplace, and furnished and decorated beautifully with renting in mind. Stepping inside, you instantly feel the warmth of the home and will find the kitchen fully equipped for a relaxing or active stay in Lake Tahoe. Two great side lawns for lawn games, a Gas BBQ, outdoor seating for the warmer months, and a cozy mezzanine level bedroom/living room for the winter months. Three TVs, full cable, Sony Playstation, games, and a Sonos sound system will make your stay seamless and relaxing.
