This complex boasts one of the finest swim and surf beaches for families in Southern California, and has been listed by leading travel magazines as having the best all around yearly beach climates. After playing in the waves, relax in one of the pools or hot tubs which are exclusive to the complex and just steps away from the beach.

The beaches surrounding this condo are sandy and perfect. Beware of renting south of here - most beaches to the south are steep, narrow, and rocky for miles.

A wide beachfront walkway starts at the complex and leads to the pier, where you can enjoy fishing, sightseeing, watching surfers, or eating at Ruby's Restaurant with panoramic ocean views. You can rent fishing equipment at the pier and purchase your bait at the same time. No license is required to fish from the pier. Bikes are easy to rent near the pier. Coast along the beach or take a leisurely ride to the Historic Mission at San Luis Rey.

A walk to the north brings you to the beautiful marina and harbor. Watch the sea lions play in the water while you enjoy casual restaurants, fine dining, bars, coffee houses, and live music. The Harbor Fish n’ Chips eatery has large portions, good prices, and excellent fried pineapple rings. The gift shops are actually competitively priced, and have nice stuff. Other options at the marina include stand up paddle board rentals, boat rentals, jetski rentals, whale watching, fishing trips, and shopping. The expansive sandy beach opposite the harbor is another gem, complete with fire pits, volleyball nets, a playground, shower, and restrooms.

Your condo and its fantastic location create the perfect setting for family vacations, romance, adventure, relaxation, playing in the sand and waves, surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, or any mix of the above. With all the activities surrounding the fabulous beach just outside, the complex amenities, the pier, and the harbor, you won’t find a better location in southern California for a vacation rental.

If you desire even more adventure, take a 10-minute drive to Carlsbad to shop in its unique village atmosphere, or visit Lego-Land. Within an hour drive to the east and south you will find casinos, the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Park, the Gas Lamp District for shopping, music, and night life. You could also visit the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Old Town, and more. A trip to the north takes you to Anaheim with Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. You could also watch an Angels or a Padres game while you’re in town.

North Coast Village is a gated community with 24 hour on-grounds security patrol and guard post. You won't have to cross any roads to get to the beach from your raised garden level condo.

Beautiful Beach Resort

My daughter and I had such a great time staying here. The condo was beautiful with very nice upgrades. We felt right at home. It was very affordable and made our visit so worthwhile. The grounds at the complex were landscaped so beautifully with ponds and waterfalls and lush greenery and flowers. The pool was huge and so nice, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi every night. With the beach just steps away, we loved going on walks to the pier or the nearby shops and restaurants. We look forward to our next visit!

Great location and great place.

We loved the location and the beach was beautiful and not over crowded. The check in process was easy and the staff were so nice and helpful. The place was clean and nice and we were very happy with the way it was set up. The only problem we had was the couch pullout bed. My mother could not sleep on it because it hurt her back and was a very poor mattress. If we wouldn't have had her with us everything else was great. The king size bed was very comfortable. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch as a couch instead of the pull out bed.

A couple minor issues, but overall a wonderful unit and facility!

This condo was perfect for our family vacation! My husband and I, along with our 2 litttle girls Had everything we needed in this facility. The grounds were beautiful and so convienent to shops, restaurants, and the beach!! We definitely plan to come back to this complex for future vacations. The condo itself was clean and tailored to a family with small children. I never had to worry that the kids would get hurt or damage anything. The in-unit pack-n-play was perfect for my 1yr old. The only issues we had were fairly minor... I'm not sure if I missed in the discription of the unit or if it wasn't listed, but there is no central A/C in this unit. We are from Texas so we were a little concerned about this. However, the window unit and fan in the unit managed to keep the entire unit well cooled and very comfortable. Also after about the 3rd day in this unit we did experience an ant issue. It seems they were attracted to the trash can under the sink but I'm not certain. We did have a can or Lysol with us and spraying the counters and trash seemed to keep the ants minimal.

Other than those issues the unit and facility were absolutely wonderful!

Great Place to Stay and Amazing Beach

This was a wonderful place to stay. It's right on a beautiful quiet beach with pristine sand. The unit is well furnished and has most of the things you would need - hit up the grocery store and you'll be good to go. The Pier felt like about a 1/2 mile walk and was a fun place to see the locals out fishing and hanging around. If you're in town and the farmer's market is going on, be sure to go eat dinner there. There are so many vendors with amazing eats. Other community amenities like the BBQ, Pool, Hot Tub, game room, etc. are perfect and and add to the fun.

North Coast condo

We did enjoy Cali. The condos are getting a little dated. The floors were uneven. We felt like we were walking up and down in our condo. The condo was one of a few that had a portable AC unit in bedroom. This was a must for us and the one thing I don't like about North Coast village, no AC in most all of the units. Cali is cool most of the time but......., the humidity especially at night is like a swamp. This is why an AC unit is needed. We still enjoyed it, just getting away is half the fun. Next year, hopefully, I'll have my fifth wheel, with 2 AC units, HA HA.

We're not the type of people who try to find the bad or negative side of things. We will be objective with this review. The unit was nice but there were some areas of concern. The bedding and extra blankets were worn and dated, but functional and clean. Some of the appliances needed to be replaced (e.g. iron, ironing board, and blender). The iron left marks on a shirt due to stains on it which transferred to my shirt when heated. The ironing board needed a new, thicker cover. The blender just stopped working. We contacted the owner about this and they agreed to compensate us and give us money for a new iron. We declined this offer, since their response was received shortly before we left the unit. The beach chairs and body boards were also dated and worn. There were also used items (e.g. lotions, etc.) in the bathroom cabinets which made it feel like someone else was living there at the same time. We could only use one of the body boards because it had an attached wrist strap/cord. Overall, we felt the unit met our needs but it wasn't a place we looked forward to returning to at the end of the day. If you are planning on not spending much time in the unit, it will work for your needs. We appreciate the owner's offer to compensate but this unit needs to be updated and better maintained. Thank you.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear you didn't love everything about your stay, and that you declined to take us up on our offer to replace and compensate for the blender and iron. We sympathize with you in the problems you found, as guest comfort and experience is very important to us. We rely on the feedback of our guests to replace things as they go out from normal usage, if we don't catch them first. As soon as you let us know about the blender, we responded to you that same day with our best effort offer to fix the problems while you were still there, which you declined. Kindly note that these correspondences between us all happened 2 days before you left the unit - not "shortly after" you left, as you indicated in your "honest review." We were happy to reimburse you for another iron plus some extra for your trouble while you were still there, which you also declined. We replace beach items as they get worn out, and keep them all in good functional order. However, If you want pristine and unused boards and chairs, we recommend bringing your own. We often debate whether or not we should throw away lotions and sunscreens which get left by previous guests, but in the end, we opted to leave them for future guests so they can decide if they want to use them or not. Thank you for your opinion on the matter, we will take it into consideration. In response to your late checkout request, we were happy to make arrangements for you to use all of the amenities of the complex well after the checkout time, despite the fact that another guest was arriving that same day. We wish you well on your future travels!

No smoking is permitted in the condo, balcony, or hallways. There is a dedicated outside smoking spot at NCV.

No pets are allowed at NCV.

Renter is responsible for damage to the property and/or fees incurred during the term of the Rental Agreement, caused by Renter or any of Renter’s guests, irrespective of age, day and overnight guests.

Renter shall immediately notify the Owner regarding any damage and/or maintenance issues that require attention. Owner will make every attempt to ensure that all the utilities, equipment and appliances are in working order at the commencement of a rental period. No reduction of rent, rebate or refund will be issued for a failure of utilities, equipment or appliances.

Renter must charge all long-distance telephone calls to either a credit/phone card or call collect.

If Renter is unable to use the property or some portion of the property, for the full rental period or any portion of the rental period, due to conditions out of Owner’s control, including but not limited to, weather, water/beach conditions, neighboring property issues, nuisances (natural and man-made), maintenance on community areas (i.e., pool, exercise room), Renter shall be responsible for full payment. No reduction of rent, rebate or refund will be issued under these conditions.

Renter represents and agrees with the Owner that he will use the Property and its facilities in accordance with the Terms and Conditions above and the information provided and that he does so at his own risk and that he will indemnify the Owner from any personal injury, sickness or death, loss or damage, however caused, to person or property of the Renter, or his guests, before, during or after the time of occupancy.
