We had a wonderful time! The kids enjoyed playing games and we enjoyed spending time as a family.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous house! It had everything we needed and was super clean and beautiful.
There is a reason this cabin is rated 4.9/5 stars.
Absolutely beautiful cabin in a gorgeous setting. Very well equipped for anything you may need for a stay. The owner was great and worked with us to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Would definitely recommend and go back!
Enjoyed everything about this place. Clean and quiet, we really enjoyed sitting around the fireplace. Not many places still have wood burning fireplaces anymore. We will be back and would recommend it to others.
Peaceful and relaxing
The place was fabulous! The location is breathtaking and so peaceful! The home was very well taken care of and was just lovely! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway that’s peaceful!
The property was awesome, very clean and peaceful.
We went to the mountains to unwind over the weekend and ride the Creeper Trail. Unfortunately the wind kicked up on Saturday and we decided to make a day in W Jefferson instead—which was plenty of fun for us. We really enjoyed the homestead in Lansing. It’s tucked into such an idyllic valley with roaming deer, fruit and nut trees and plenty of other flora and fauna to set the scene. We enjoyed using the fireplace in the den and cooking biscuits in the morning—bought groceries at the local general store in Lansing. We also loved the wrap around porch for coffee in the morning. The home is away from it all, but close to the fun stuff! Very quick to get to the Creeper, W Jefferson, hiking trails etc. We’re looking forward to coming back.
Lansing, in Ashe County, has some premier trout fly-fishing on Helton Creek and Big Horse Creek. If you'd rather relax on the water you can float tube or canoe the New River through several outfitters. Grayson Highlands State Park is just across the border in Virginia and offers spectacular hiking with wild ponies.
