On The Beach - Meredith Lodging

On The Beach really is just as the name suggests-right on the beach. Step from the grassy oceanfront lawn directly onto the sand! The soft, fine sand of Road's End is great for walking, running, or digging, and the waves in front of this home are ideal for boogie-boarding, kite surfing, or skim-boarding. Featuring classic coastal finishes such as beautiful knotty-pine walls, this lovely home offers plenty of room for everyone. Enjoy the ocean view living room with the large flat-screen TV, the game room complete with foosball and ping-pong tables, or any of the spacious bedrooms. At the end of the day, watch the sunset through the large panoramic windows of the dining and living rooms, or enjoy it soaking in the ocean view hot tub. Once you're On The Beach, you won't ever want to leave.

Couldn’t get any closer to the beach. Plenty of sand toys for the little ones. The outdoor hot tub was fun to use. Turning the garage into a game room was genius. Very well appointed kitchen.

The thermostats upstairs don’t work. We had to depend on the fireplace and rising heat from downstairs to heat the second floor. The heater in one of the bedrooms doesn’t work as well. The oven took a very long time to reach temperature. Fortunately we didn’t need to use it much. The site markets the hot tub, but the breaker for it is removed. As a result we could not use it.

First time doing a VRBO. It was an enjoyable couple of days. The location was expensive but very nice. We are in our70’s and the staircase steps were a bit scary as the steps are very short. The sheets were a bit tired and should be replaced. The range is damaged and we didn’t need to use it so we don’t know if it works or not. We found some delicious food out and I didn’t have to cook at all. The beds were so comfortable. Nice. The washer sounds like it is on its last leg. lol. The drawers in the kitchen could use some WD40. The views……WOW!!!

Great house!!

Great beach front home. We really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing. The beach was very nice. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and peaceful. We love our stay at the beach house.

Would recommend!

We loved all the beachy decor! The upper level deck was where we spent a lot of our time. We enjoyed how close this home was to the casino and grocery store. We would absolutely recommend this to our friends!

Great home, great location

We have rented from Meredith lodging and really appreciate the ease of working with them! The home was exactly as pictured and described. It was really clean and very comfortable. The lawn area was a huge plus for our young grandkids. We absolutely loved the location!! Perfect for us in every way. Thank you !!

Beautiful Views, Cozy & Clean Home

Our family loved staying in this well-appointed, comfortable home with spectacular ocean views and beach access. Although it rained most of our stay, we loved sitting by the fireplace in the family room, gazing at the ocean and quickly running out to the beach during breaks in the weather. With young children, we loved that the bedrooms were all close to each other. The house was very clean and the hot tub was a huge plus! Would recommend this property to others!

We had thre following concerns; 1) the large front left burner on the stove did not work, which made it difficult to cook all items in a timely fashion 2) the hot tub ran out of bromine and was unavailable for one day of our stay 3) the sliding doors in the bedroom opposite the hot tub were stuck so individuals used the bedroom doors next to the hot tub this was an inconvenience for those who wanted to nap But as we have stated would stay there again

Wave house

We love this property. Hot tub, instant access to the beach. What more could you ask for. I would say the bed I. The room closest to the hot tub was very uncomfortable. The mattress is failing. Also the blankets were very heavy for summer. Personal preference, I know but just a suggestion to put lighter blankets in the summer. The only other suggestion I have is there is no privacy on the back deck. With all the neighbors and tourists going down to the beach right along this property you might consider a roll down shade or something on the deck for some privacy. With that said we would stay here every year we come down regardless. Thank you.

Great view of the coastline! So close to the beach!

I am disappointed about the cleanliness of this house. Only the basics are cleaned and it has not been deep-cleaned for some time. I don't believe Meredith Lodging is aware of it as I assume they have a cleaning crew that cleans their properties. The staff at Meredith Lodging are fantastic. If I had a question or concern, their response time was very quick. Having a hot tub and game room sounded fun for our group. There were black widow spiders everywhere in the game room and when I contacted Meredith Lodging, they sent someone over immediately to spray. The technician worked for Meredith Lodging and was great. He sprayed the game room very well and he said he saw the spiders crawling out after he sprayed. He also sprayed just the exterior doors and windows in other places in the house and after he left, I saw some that had crawled out and died. He was so apologetic of the unwanted pests and I hope after our departure, someone went in and sprayed everywhere. There were cobwebs hanging down in almost every room rooms, hence, we were afraid to use any blankets or extra pillows in the closets afraid of seeing more spiders. We attempted to use the hot tub the first night but the chemical smell was so much and the water was cloudy. The hot tub technician came over and he added some crystals to make the cloudiness go away and some chemical to balance out the water. We waited 24 hours before we used it again and it was perfect. Thanks to the techs who came to help.

Girls birthday weekend

We had a great girls trip for my birthday, the home was beautiful, clean and the property well maintained. The pictures on the listing showed exactly what we were getting and we were all very happy with our stay!

The windows and expansive views were amazing. It took a bit of work to get the temperature adjusted but once we figured that out it was great!

Would stay again

This house was great for adults as well as the kids. They played foosball and ping pong. The hot tub was a plus- I wish there weren’t any HOA rules for the hot tub but that’s ok. We enjoyed ourselves so much. The propert management team was great as well.

Retreat from the heat

Perfect Sunset the first night, great place for family gatherings with room on the two decks and grassy lawn. Nice amenities in a seafaring home. Quiet away from town with a nice stretch of beach.
