We had an amazing stay at the Roberta Barr. We didn't want to leave! It's a beautiful property, with lush orchards and gardens, creeks, a trout pond, walking paths, and beautiful art sculptures. The online pictures are accurate but we found the Roberta Barr to be an experience that is hard to capture in a photo - it's just so magical.
The cabin and honey house are both beautifully decorated. The Joshua cabin is elegant, cozy and welcoming all at the same time. Honey House is charming and bright and has really cool decor. We appreciated the comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, and that the master bath had both a tub and shower. We cooked a few meals on the Green Egg and also had fun exploring restaurants in town (~10-15 minute drive). We all had fun fishing in the trout pond, exploring the property, sitting by the creek, taking walks in the surrounding area, and soaking up the views.
Eric and Alice were incredibly gracious hosts - welcoming and warm. They gave us a tour of the property and invited us to pick fruit from the orchard trees and raspberry bushes. We ate delicious cherries, apricots, and raspberries during our stay.
The location was perfect for us - a short drive to town, nearby Havilland Lake, and the Purgatory resort area. We stay at many vacation rentals and this is in our top 3 - a true 5 star experience. The Roberta Barr is a really special place and we can't wait to plan a trip back!
