The bedroom and the adjacent spacious balcony overlooks private gardens. A relaxing spot for enjoying your happy hours. The bedroom, high ceiling, blue-curtained windows, has a very comfortable bed. The apartment and kitchen are fully equipped to guarantee a comfortable and wonderful stay.
The Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum are just a few minutes’ walk away. Also the Concertgebouw is very nearby. The city’s main park, the Vondelpark, is a two minute walk and can be part of a lovely route into the city centre.

My wife and I are frequent travelers, preferring the neighborhood feeling of an apt over a hotel. Everything about the property was perfect. The property mgr, Barbara, was prompt, friendly, and readily available to answer any questions. The apartment is light, filled with original art, comfortable and equipped for all our needs. Minutes walk to the tram for longer rides and a short walking distance to museums. Can't recommend it highly enough. A lovely home.

Amazing Amsterdam Apartment!
This is a classy, well appointed, and well situated residence. Great area, close to museums, Vondel Park, and right on the tram line.
Barbara met us and gave us a helpful tour of the apartment and outlined where to go in the neighborhood for groceries, shopping, etc. She also added some fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of rose wine- much appreciated!
The balcony off the bedroom overlooking green space was a lovely retreat after our busy days touring beautiful Amsterdam.
Highly recommended - thank you.
I and my 2 children stayed 11 nights in this very clean, homey and spacious apartment. Back bedroom was cool and quiet for the kids with balcony overlooking lovely garden. Location was great, very clean and quiet neighborhood and thankfully away from tourist bustle, but with Albert Heijn 5-10minute walk away for groceries and takeaway, multiple museums and Vondelpark equally close, convenient tram #2 stop 2minute walk away, and airport bus stop also nearby. Because of its convenient location, even though nicely equipped kitchen, did not cook the entire time I was there! Would have liked a simple microwave instead of complicated appearing oven that you have to google for operation instructions. Couch in LR where I slept was very comfortable; noise from street (like NYC) required closing front windows unfortunately, that sometimes was a little warm. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring beautiful Amsterdam and pretty much did everything (highly recommend Rembrandthuis and Dutch resistance museum, besides all the usual, ie Anne Frank, Rijks, canal boat, VanGogh, etc). Also day trips to Haarlem, Zaanse Schans, Waterland towns, and Den Hague were especially wonderful, all on our own without mishap. Almost every place we ate (mostly cafes and some pancake places) was reasonably priced and very good, although wait service not like US standard. Barbara was excellent in terms of being available and communication, as well as being very thoughtful and helpful. We are very happy we chose to stay here, and truly felt like it was a home away from home and a perfect place to stay during our almost 2 wks time in the Netherlands

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Great location but......
The place was beautiful, clean, and convenient to transportation and dining. We were inconvenienced twice by the lack of being able to reach the agent. Once at check in and the second time when we ran into a problem in the apartment with the water.

We cannot believe how you can write us this review. We were unable to reach you for check in. You did not show up for check in yourself and sent someone else to do your check in. You were very hard to reach by phone or any other communication source. Then you damaged our shower by forcing it brutally. We had to replace it completely, which cost us quite a sum of money. We did not charge you for this, as we wanted to handle the affair graciously. And now you write us a bad review. We are puzzled and very disappointed, as we take hosting our guests very seriously. We had to come over around midnight to do damage control, when you ruined our shower. Please note that we will never ever rent to you again. Please also note that what you damaged cost us a lot more than you ever paid for your stay here.

Great Location!
This was our first time to Amsterdam. We think this rental is perfect for first-timers. The location is on a main tram-line and very close to all of the wonderful museums that Amsterdam is known for (e.g., Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum) as well as the wonderful Vondelpark, and some very nice shopping venues and restaurants. The space is very well appointed, although a room fan or two would be helpful for the warmer season. Also, the bed is very comfortable and there is a wonderful terrace off the bedroom overlooking a garden that is the perfect setting for cheese and wine after a day of sight-seeing. Barbara was a consummate hostess and provided lots of good advice on the neighborhood as well as sightseeing in Amstedam in general.

Good location
Steep narrow stairway, curved at the top. No lift. Cramped bedroom. Doors on wall closets will not open. The bed will remind you of why you no longer stay in 2 star hotels. Loose wires dangle from ceilings in kitchen and living room for light fixtures.

Dear Joseph,
I am sorry that your experience here was not worth a 5 star review. You did not mention these complaints when we met for check in or check out, which is a missed chance for both of us, as I would have gladly accommodated where possible. The stairs are mentioned and pictured in our add, so that you could have known, which makes it a bit strange that you should mention it as a complaint in hindsight. I hope you at least liked the tasteful decorations and the art and the many luxuries (a.o. the bathroom, the couch, the balcony with garden view) the apartment has. And maybe you liked the hospitality or the truly wonderful neighborhood, our tips for enjoying the city..
But I can imagine at a certain age maybe a hotel with an elevator is more suited when traveling. Stay well, warm regards!

High quality apartment in a great location
My husband and son and I stayed at the apartment for three days and had a lovely time. The rooms are exactly as pictured on the website. Barbara met us at the unit and showed us how to use the various keys, appliances and lights. She was very attentive and even provided us with a lovely bottle of wine as a welcome gift. When I noticed the shampoo and hand soap had been depleted by the last guest, she dropped off some new supplies the following morning. The location was ideal -- just a couple blocks from Vondelpark and major museums. And the kitchen had everything you'd need to prepare a meal. The fridge was rather small, but sufficient for the length of our stay. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Apartment
Beautiful, well appointed apartment. Loved the location as it was right on Tram Line 2. Very easy walking distance to the museum district, restaurants, and a huge park.
Although we did not cook, the kitchen was well stocked. We especially loved the Nespresso coffee machine. The refrigerator was quite small and was not able hold large items. The bathroom had a beautiful, large shower, and was stocked with plenty of large, soft towels! At the end of a long day, we looked forward to returning to the apartment for a rest and a coffee. The only negative to this location was the street noise as it is on the tram line and a busy road. If the windows along the front were open, it was extremely noisy. Thankfully the bedroom is located at the back of the apartment. The front stairway up to the apartment is very steep, so it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Barbara was a gem to deal with. I would not hesitate in booking this apartment again.

A Wonderful Apartment!
This was our first vacation rental apartment in Europe, and we could have not been more pleased. Being New Yorkers, we know apartments, and this one was a great find. We were met by host Barbara, extremely friendly and a welcome sight after a red-eye flight. We were lucky in that Barbara allowed us to check in early (8:00 am) because the previously renters had left. The apartment and transportation was explained thoroughly, and we were left to explore this beautiful city. The master bed was extremely comfortable, as well as the sofa bed for our adult daughter which was located in the lovely decorated living room. The spa-like bath had robes for us, which was delightful. The location was ideal (near the Van Gogh Museum and others) and on the world-known Tram 2 line. The best feature of the apartment for us was the balcony which overlooked a lovely garden, where we enjoyed a glass of wine after long days of exploring. Barbara was quickly responsive to any questions we had during our stay, and met us upon our departure. Our deposit was returned promptly. I would highly recommend this apartment to both first-time and experienced travelers alike. We give it a A+.

Elegant yet casual, perfectly situated with delightful manager
We cannot say enough about how delighted we were with Mineke & Willem's flat! Barbara's communication was full of warmth and clarity from our first inquiry, but meeting her upon arrival was even better. She made herself available throughout our stay for any help we might have needed. With the detailed info folder and Barbara's walk-through, we didn't need much!
We loved having the nespresso machine, washer, dryer, fridge, and cooktop. We didn't use the oven or toaster or much else in the very well-equipped kitchen but we could see that nothing would be missing if we wanted to prepare a full meal.
The bathroom was spacious & luxurious, with huge fluffy towels, luxury robes, and a decadent rain shower.
The bedroom had a beautiful terrace overlooking the green back gardens and was very quiet. The heavy drapes closed to afford absolute darkness. The bed, smooth sheets, fluffy duvets, and plentiful pillows made for great sleep.
The location was perfect: just a few minutes' walk from the Van Gogh museum and all the others at the Museumplein. There were wonderful restaurants, shops, and the beautiful Vondelpark very close by. The area was serene and residential...I was so glad we weren't in the hectic, touristy Canal Zone, though it was easy to get there when we wanted.
Our first morning, when I didn't yet have the requisite milk for my coffee, I popped around the corner to Coffee Concepts for a delicious latte.
Bruno was an amazing destination for an Italian dinner, and we had a breakfast at Pompa, which also looked like it would be great for dinner.
We hope to return soon with our children, and we know this flat will be great with them, too...we saw lots of games in a cabinet in the living room, and they'll love the terrace and the neighborhood.

Buona
La casa è situata in ottima posizione. A due passi dal museo di Van Gogh ed a 5 minuti di tram dal centro storico. Confortevole, bella con un unico vero difetto, la camera matrimoniale ha un letto molto scomodo, non all'altezza della situazione.

Hi Camilla, thank you for your review. I wish you would have told me upfront about the bed. I had no idea that you were not satisfied. If I had known I could have maybe helped you out.
Beds are always a difficult point as everybody has a different preference. I am happy to hear you liked it here otherwise. In the meantime we have different options for sleeping to accommodate our guests better. The very best wishes for 2017. Hope we can welcome you again some time.

Wonderful apartment, beautiful neighborhood, and excellent service
The apartment is lovely and spacious, with all of the amenities and supplies we could imagine needing during our visit (e.g., laundry, pots and pans, glassware, etc.). We would definitely stay here again.
Perhaps more importantly, Barbara, the manager, is amazing--extremely thoughtful, gracious, and informative. She really cares about the guests. In fact, this is the second time I rented an apt from her. The first time was great, exceeding expectations, though I never wrote a review. This time, a year later, I visited with my family, and we initially rented a different apartment. Upon arrival, the (other) apartment was in bad shape, with lots of problems, and with no response from the rental company. We were pretty miserable. But as my wife begin looking for last minute alternative hotel options, I thought to send Barbara an email to see if she might have anything available beginning that very night. It was a long shot. But Barbara replied within about 15 minutes. She remembered me, and also happened to have this apartment available for the nights we needed it. I can only assume that she had to drop everything to prepare the apartment, process the reservation, and then meet us at about 9:00 pm to let us in. We were so happy and grateful. She saved our trip. And, the apartment was perfect.
So, we can't say enough good things about Barbara (and the apartments she handles are very nice too!). Next time, I won't mess around with another agency but will go straight to her.

Great Amsterdam apartment in museum district
Very comfortable apartment in the museum district. Large windows, very light and bright. Located on a beautiful tree lined street with direct access to Tram #2, so easy access to and from the Central Station. Many small shops and restaurants within a five minute walk and only a 10 minute walk to the Van Gogh and Rijks Museum. Apartment has a beautiful view out of the back bedroom into a private garden. Renovated bathroom with large shower. The host Barbara is very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay for a visit to Amsterdam.
