About Rick Greene - neighbor/manager for owners
In 1983, we got married and moved to Montrose and that is when our love affair with Colorado began. I am from Edmond, Oklahoma and my husband is from Wayne, Nebraska and we both went to college in Dallas, Texas. So Colorado, with its majestic mountain ranges and cool summer nights were something totally different than either of us were used to. We lived in Montrose for five years, then moved to various locations around the country and are now back in Big D. But Colorado was always calling us to come back. In 2000, we built our cabin with Dusty's parents, Jack and Evie. For years, they spent every summer up there enjoying everything the area has to offer. We love our time in Ridgway, Colorado. We look forward to it every year and we hope you get a chance to experience Cielo Vista for yourself.

Why Rick Greene - neighbor/manager for owners chose Elk Meadows
Cielo Vista is tucked into the side of the mountain overlooking The San Juan Mountain Range. This mountain getaway is the perfect retreat for one or a great place for a family vacation! At 9,000 feet it towers above the Aspen treed valley and is the perfect spot for catching a water colored sunset. If you like hiking, jeeping, fishing, swimming at the Ouray Hot Springs pool or just setting on the deck soaking up the sun, this could be the perfect place for you!

This was a wonderful home out in the country away from town with a fabulous view of the mountains from the living room and the porch. would highly recommend.
Best part of Colorado
The home is well kept and well stocked in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time, my wife and I and our two sons and their wives. So much to do close by. Magnificent! We will be back in another year or so.
Colorado has been a vacation destination ever since I was a little girl and I thought I had seen it all, until we came to the Rubeck’s Cielo Vista. The view IS simply HEAVENLY from outside on the wrap-around deck as well as inside the cabin. The towering Sneffels range of the San Juans to the south is strikingly beautiful, majestic, powerful and peaceful all at once and the vast valley to the east sweeps up and across to the rocky structures of Cimarron Range. The cabin is situated so that you look directly out at the mountains. We’ve actually seen it “raining fire in the skies”. Gotta love John Denver!
The spacious aspen log cabin is beautiful, modern and open, furnished with literally everything you need to feel perfectly at home. For the adventurist types, it awaits all around, and for the solitude lovers, (like me) just tell those adventurers to head out!!!! The owners thought of everything when they built Cielo Vista. We have only one problem when we arrive, we never want to LEAVE!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Cielo Vista. The owners thought of everything to create a comfortable experience in their own home. Rick, the property manager was top notch and always available if needed. You won't go wrong here. Wish we could give more than 5 stars.
Wonderful guests, we hope to have them back.
Amazing view and so peaceful
The only downfall is its a Long drive down gravel roads to get to the cabin so I would recommend a truck or suv, but the view and location is so worth it. This is the nicest cabin with the best view I have ever stayed in
Im so glad you all enjoyed your stay here. Yes the drive is 8 miles of gravel road but that's the price we pay up here to live in paradise. With the right vehicle its actually a very easy drive. We hope to see you again next year and bring an SUV ...haha.
Amazing! The pictures on the website don't do it justice! The views are absolutely outstanding from the big windows and on the deck. The house is decorated so cute - in each corner you will find a new fun thing to look at. We came with my family of 5 and my mother so the bedroom setup was perfect. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. If you are looking for more of a remote getaway, this place is for you! The San Juan mountains are the prettiest I have ever seen!
