Nice place to stay

The listing photos are a little dated, especially the pool area. They have weekly pool maintenance, but the photos were taken after the pool guy did maintenance (supposedly.. we know he was there, but the pool never cleared up). No other pools around were this green and it was not too fun to swim in. The house is comfortable, although two of the bedrooms have doors which do not lock whatsoever. Our bed was comfortable, but my sister had to sleep with their heads at the bottom of the bed to get comfortable. Appliances were newly updated, as well as the laundry services. I’d suggest hiring a different pool service though, it was this green for the entire two weeks. The owner was helpful and prompt.

Amazing place

I had family to fly in from ohio the house was just what we needed the owner was so amazing she made sure everything was.ready for us we were comfortable ❤️ and i would use them again it was the week after the hurricane so there was some damage but we still enjoyed our our time there

WOW waterfront house

This place looked nothing like the pictures we seen. The trash cans was all full. The house was not stocked with toilet paper or nothing. For the price we paid we should not of had to pay for anything like that. The breakers kept popping. The pool was not heated.

Spring Break with Grandsons

We take our 3 grandsons on Spring Break trips since they were little. 20 yr old and 11 year old twins. The house was very nice as stated! We swam with manatees and went to the beach every day. Another wonderfultrip making great memories. We felt like we were at home. The location was great and the pool was used daily.

Perfect for the whole family!

Clean, comfortable home away from home. Enjoyed the home and pool, kids and husband had everything they needed. We enjoyed the house pool and hot tub the most, MLB spring training games and the local beaches, Honeymoon Island is a must. The kids loved the local birds, geckos and beautiful butterflies. Only wish was there was a better quality BBQ. we will be back.

Clean property. Pool was green upon arrival, some maintenance is needed. Screen enclosure has rips. Ceilings are very low (7’) and the ‘master’ bath is very snug Overall the house met our needs

Pool not usable

Avoid if you’re renting for a pool or a screened outdoor area. Screens have huge rips everywhere - completely useless for mosquito control. Pool had a layer of green powder-type substance on the bottom. The owner was very communicative via text prior to the stay and even asked that we communicate that way. However, they did not respond to multiple texts re pool condition. Interestingly enough, when I texted as we checked out (per their request), I received an immediate response in which they indicated I should have called about the pool as opposed to texting. If they received the departure text and replied why didn’t they reply to the issue about the pool? Note to anyone who has gait issues…there are different rugs scattered throughout the place & most turn up on the corners and could use a good cleaning. We left the place in better condition than we found it - I scrubbed the showers, stovetop and kitchen counters and sink before use and cleaned the rugs as much as possible.

Cold, dirty pool; electrical concerns; sketchy neighborhood; back yard pond not usable

Property manager is excellent to deal with but he definitely talked up the property. The house is not what we expected at all. The pool was very cold and dirty. We could see dirt along the bottom. Our kids had to go in the shower to warm up. Although the description says pool is heated, it wasn’t. The pool edge is a safely concern. There is a 1/2 inch raised sharp edge around the pool that one of our kids cut his shin on trying to get out of the pool; the lights above the pool were concerning and not all working. Not sure if they were outdoor rated. There are not sealed lights and are plugged into a wall outlet. The back yard pond is very small and dirty, definitely cant swim in it. There are broken up concrete slabs/rubble as the shoreline. Houses are stacked right next to each other and some of the houses in the neighborhood are very sketchy. The house across the street has boarded up windows. The house layout is odd as an extra bedroom is in the garage to make it a 3 bedroom. Good security as ADT is used. We took pictures of concerns.

Bed Bugs - Host/ Host Son lack of concern

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY Gave a 1 rating for everything because of the issues below We checked into to this home on Friday June 4th. Friday night my granddaughter slept in the bedroom that had been converted from a garage. She woke up Saturday morning with bites all over her body. Initially I thought they were mosquito bites or because she has sensitive skin, i thought maybe the laundry detergent was the reason. However, my daughter had a late flight, and we arrive back at the rental after midnight. They stayed up around 2 or 3 before going to bed. My grandaughter, let her aunt have the bed and she slept on the couch. Between 5 and 6 my daughter was knocking on my door saying she had bites all over her body.( She eventually had to go to the Walgreens Clinic. Was seen and given medicine for treatment). I text the host son, because it was early to advice of the problem. After not receiving a response, I called him and told him what was going on and requested a full refund. He said he would speak to his mom. I even sent her I reply from my VBRO rental page. Neither one of them replied to me on Monday. So Tuesday, I called and he tried to tell me they were not bed bug bites cause his mother was a nurse, and stated that bed bug bites would not appear for 2-4 days. ( This is not true. Google it and it will tell you it depends on the individual. Some people with sensitive skin they can appear within hours). He even try to tell me he did not believe the docters assessment. Stated it was her opinion and different from his mom. Mind you his mom was looking at pictures and not the actual person body. It is heartbreaking to know that after me, advising him, he let new renters move in that afternoon. My daughter was so upset, she went over to advise them. Today, they called her and one of the renters had been bitten also. Please do not rent this property. They will get your money, but have a lack of concern when a problem or issue is brought to there attention. They still have renters booked, i hope they see this post. The renters that we alerted and my family have notified VBRO

Great launch pad to Gulf Coast Beaches!

Our family of 11 (8 kids, 2 parents and a grandma) had a wonderful week at this comfortable home on the water of a beautiful cul-de-sac canal. In this extremely quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed the peaceful setting of watching egrets, herons and all kinds of birds while sitting in the Lanai around the outdoor pool. The seating area has comfy furniture and is covered with a solid roof so that we were able to enjoy it even if we had a rain shower. This is an older home but was very comfortable with plenty of seating and an excellent giant washer and dryer. The dining room area worked well even for our big family, with stools that could be added to the chairs around the table. The kitchen was fine for our needs with an ice maker fridge and lots of counter space We were all able to sit in the living room together to watch a movie on the very large screen TV. The furniture was comfortable with many pillows. Ceiling fans were in every room. There are lots of tubes and pool toys and we had many sessions of fun in the pool, which has a deep end. The house was very clean and we did not have a lot of requirements of things to do before we checked out. The air conditioning worked well and we even had enough hot water for 11 showers in a row! Our host was gracious and easy to work with. Be advised this is an older ranch home but a very comfortable one to live in! The owner was wonderful to work with, and gave us many tips of amazing local places to visit. We did almost all of them, and the kids loved them! Tip: If you go to Weekie Wachie, make sure you get there before it opens. Madiera beach is amazing, and about an hour away. Definitely do Sun West Park.

Great family get away

This property is beautifully decorated inside and out. The pool area has a great Florida vacation get away feel with a relaxing view. The owners were very accommodating to work with and did a great job stocking the house with everything you need. My husband and two kids (9&13) had more than enough space. It’s close to the beach but the pool was nice for day’s you wanted to relax at home.

Great Thanksgiving Holiday

We stayed at this property for Thanksgiving week - 6 Adults and 2 Toddlers. The homeowner graciously allowed us to host Thanksgiving dinner for a total of 12 Adults, 2 Toddlers, which was greatly appreciated. The house is a little dated, but clean with plenty of room to accommodate us and for the kids to spread out in. The area is quiet and the property backs up to a small lake that offered amazing sunrises (toddlers get up early!). The only issue we had is that we thought we were renting a 4 bedroom house and this is a three bedroom. It is listed twice on VRBO- once as a 4 bedroom and more recently as a 3 bedroom. Two of the bedrooms are large so we were able to work it out. Overall, great experience, we all liked the house.
