Everything about this property was wonderful. The location was amazing, with a great view of the water. You were close to amenities but not so close it was too busy. They provided everything a family would need to just show up and have a great stay. The house was roomy, clean and quiet. And the property manager was very easy to access for questions

Short but sweet vacay

Short vacay in this adorable beach cottage. We love the area and the easy access to John's Pass with the shopping and restaurants. There is road noise but we overlooked that since you are so close to the beach access and convenience to restaurants and shopping.

A Great Time on Spring Break

“A Wave Away” rental was the perfect location, right across the street from the beach and walking distance to John’s Pass for our spring break experience. The house was comfortable and very affordable. It was equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again!!

Family Vacation

The place was perfect for our family. We walked everywhere we wanted to go except for the grocery store. The only recommendation would be using the keypad instead of picking up keys and taking them back.

vacation experience

Our stay was great, the only thing we thought could have been better was the bed in master bedroom. We could feel box springs through the mattress. But overall it was a great place to stay We would love to come back.

Great Times again at "A WAVE AWAY"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our third stay at A WAVE AWAY beach house! It is located in a very good location for walking to John's pass and some of our other favorite dining places. It is directly across the street from the beach, so it is very easily accessible. Overall, we really have enjoyed all of our stays. The only requests I would have since we have stayed there several times, would be to add a full-length mirror somewhere in the suite, add a small tv in one of the 2nd or 3rd bedrooms and replace the mattress in the smaller bedroom at the end of the hall. My son, daughter in law and daughter have all indicated that it is very uncomfortable.

The beach house had everything we needed and the rental company stayed in touch for any needs we had. Check in and out was simple. My daughters and two grandchildren loved it, the beach was was just steps away. We will definitely keep this on our favorite list. Give this a try you won’t regret it.

Perfect getaway

The house was great for the 5 of us (3 kids 14f, 13f, 11m, 2 adults). Literally right across the street from the beach—maybe a 1 min walk to get there. Beach was not crowded AT ALL (bonus: there were sea turtle nests roped off on the beach). Booked the wrong dates initially but the PM was fantastic about switching us to the correct dates. Great communication before check in and check out (couple of quick little texts). We locked ourselves out on our first full day (a Sunday) and left a message on their emergency VM. It took a little bit of time (understandably!) but we got a phone call from them first then a text with a code to the keypad to get us back in in an instant. House had a few beach chairs, boogie boards, canopy tent, floaters etc for the beach. Kitchen had all the basics and just a short drive to grocery stores. Very clean, bright, well-kept house. 5-10 min walk to John’s pass for touristy shops, restaurants and activities (and ice cream at sugar daddy’s). Gas grill in the garage that worked great, 2 bathrooms, nice bedrooms, comfy beds and pillows. Really nothing to complain about with this property. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and would rec to friends and family.

The place was ok. Some things need attention. Only 1 outlet in the entire kitchen worked. Pots and pans do need replaced. One guest bedroom did not have a night stand or lamp. Master bedeoom bed had a dip on one side of bed when lying down there was no support. Pillows were very thin. Guest double bed also had no support per my son. Would also be nice if there were TVs in guest rooms. No lanterns or flashlights if you are in a tropical storm where electricity goes out as we were there during HURRICANE Debby. No broom jst to sweep up floor, basically had the bare minimum there. Pretty noisy street if sitting on deck. Cushions dirty on deck furniture i actually brought them in during the storm. The deck could use a pressure wash. Place has potential. I will say the management company was great and very attentive always answered questions. The photos make the rooms appear larger than they were. Not sure why our one way street was blocked to get to our garage so we had to keep going the wrong way to get into garage. I would say Most not all of the above things I mentioned are up to the owner to address. ..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband, son and daughter-in-law enjoyed our Spring break at the "Wave Away" beach house. It was very clean as usual, and I do love having the huge garage. We walked to John's Pass several times and enjoyed the many restaurants in the area. The only suggestions I would give is to update the queen mattress in the 2nd bedroom and possibly the bedframe. The bed is so squeaky that neither person in the bed can move for fear of waking up the other person in the bed. Also, adding a TV to that room would also be recommended. Finally, the pickup and drop off of the key is very clunky. A code on the door that would activate and open would be much preferred. Although Indian Rock is not far away mileage wise, with traffic it takes a while and after driving a 14+ hour drive, adding that on top of it especially when driving home is very inconvenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the amenities this beach house offers and would recommend it to friends and family.

Madeira Beach Vacay

Online pictures of the house and property looked just like what we saw in person. Plenty of space in the house for our party of 2 adults and 4 “kids” 19-22. Kitchen was appointed with enough of everything needed for meals cooked at the house. Nice having the cart and beach chairs in the garage to use. Nice to have a grill for outside cooking. For the most part the house was very clean. There were a few areas that could have been cleaned a little better, like the floors and the couches. The floors felt like they had sand or dirt on them and that was right when we got there. Used the vacuum to clean it up a bit. The couches had long hairs all over the furniture covers, could have easily been lint rolled. Convenient location with the gulf being right across the street. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Publix for groceries wasn’t that far of a drive. Lisa’s Cafe for breakfast is a must! I think utilizing the keypad locks would be much easier than having to go to the rental property to pick up keys. Maybe leave the garage opener on the table to cut out having to go to the rental property office too. We had a fire alarm start beeping that it needed a new battery and we called and they came within a few hours to fix it. All in all we had a great vacation and would stay here again!
