Fantastic Rental by a Repeat Customer

This home is historical and fantastic in all aspects. The location is super and convenient to all area attractions. The owner lives on the vast property and is very gracious and helpful and responds to inquiries quickly. We have stayed here before and it will certainly be our go-to place when we visit San Antonio. The home is very well stocked with items you will need, the best stocked home we have ever rented. The deer and the peaceful atmosphere of the area only add to the experience. Well worth the money.

Private outskirts of San Antonio

Love the old house, fire pit, owner very friendly, helpful, and accessible. Lots of land to explore. Great deck. Felt safe. Everything was within 30 min drive. Downtown about 20 mins. Loved it.

Peaceful and private

This home was everything we expected. Quiet and peaceful while being located close to town. Beds were comfy and plenty of pillows, blankets, and linens. Eddie stayed on site the entire time to provide 24/7 support (threw feed out for deer every morning) and was the best host! Will definitely be staying here when I visit SA again.

Great cottage away from the city. Close to Six Flags, which was our destination. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Best experience ever

This property was so much more that advertised. The country setting was peaceful and serene. The historic home was rustic and charming, very cozy with the ambiance of the old west. All the modern additions were appreciated. The site clean and well apportioned Our caretaker was very informative and available for any issues. The views from two patios was great for seeing grazing deer and colorful birds. This atmosphere took one back in time to thoughts of wild cattle, horses and cowboys. We were totally immersed into it's charm. I highly recommend this site.

Beautiful home in a serene setting

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was beautiful and had all of the amenities that we needed. It was close enough to the things we wanted to do, but out in the country. The kids enjoyed watching the deer come in and eat the corn that the owner had put out. If we’re back near San Antonio, we’d definitely rebook this location. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Boerne/San Antonio Getaway

Very comfortable, well set up, each bedroom has its own bathroom, beautiful setting, very convenient to both Boerne and San Antonio. Owner was available for any need. He had a fun dog, too. Great place to stay.

Perfect home for our vacation

We really liked staying in this historic home and quiet property. It had everything we needed, was well-decorated, clean, comfortable, and spacious. We would definitely stay here again. Eddie, the host, communicated well and was a kind and gracious host.

A place to get away

Three old friends had a 4 day golf outing. We each had our own room. Kitchen had everything we needed. Had nice table for playing cards at night. We'll be staying again if occasion arises.

Great Property-Outstanding Host

This vintage residence is exactly what we were expecting and looking for. All of the charm of 1800's America with the modern amenities we enjoyed. Great location with easy access to all we needed. The home was well stocked on arrival and saved us a ton of money at the store. We have stayed in many rental homes all over the country and can safely say that Eddie is the best host we have ever had. We will be back in 2025!!

Thanksgiving holidays

Overall our stay was great. My brother, mom and I went to visit family around the corner from the Vrbo so the location was very convenient. My mom is 86 so luckily the layout is nice with one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. It’s a reverse floor plan so kitchen and den are downstairs. You are close to everything yet not packed into a neighborhood. The property is very pretty. One thing to note is that it’s right next to a busy road. There is road noise when you’re outside. The listing conveys a quiet rural setting but it is not. The house is well stocked and feels safe overall. The owner is very friendly and lives a short walk away on property. He also has a large breed dog who is extremely friendly and slightly invasive. Just tell the owner directly and he’ll put the dog away if he’s a bother. The property has old doors (2) which can only be locked from the inside with the exception of the front door so only one key for one door which was tough to juggle with an elderly person. The location was perfect for us so we would stay there again.

Tennis trip getaway

We are always unsure of where we will be playing with tennis trips we take for sons school. So we just try to get a vaction home that suits us and enjoy the outdoors or scenery. This place was within 30 mins of everywhere we needed to be and a cozy, historic property that felt like home by the time we left. We had 3 couples in our group and it was so nice to have our own bathrooms and rooms and the indoor/outdoor space to use. We made a fire one night which is right up our alley and utilized the patios often. Will stay here again if in this area!
