Located in South Frontenac, midway between Toronto and Montreal, Bobs Lake is rural Ontario’s largest wilderness lake. The biggest draw of this area, which is approximately 7 hours from NYC, is the incredible access to such pristine wilderness.

Surrounded by hundreds of lakes, forests, and hiking and biking trails, it’s dotted with small villages like Westport, just 22 minutes away, where you can eat fish and chips, buy fudge, and get pizza at the winery overlooking a lake.

The cities of Perth and Kingston are also just 50 minutes away. Bobs Lake is a great place to escape with the family and get away from it all.

Ultimate family getaway

The perfect vacation house for families, especially city-dwellers seeking respite from crowds, noise, and pollution. Bobs Lake is pristine, raw wilderness, black night skies and bright stars, clean fresh water, and real privacy. The house is new and well-designed, offering thoughtful touches and accommodations for all ages, like stools in the bathrooms for kids, and first-floor bedroom for those unable to go upstairs. Our family comes back every year, and Bobs Lake is a cherished part of our family memories.

Lakeside Family Reunion

We had an unforgettable stay with 13 family members ranging in age from 18 to 78- the Great House had all the comforts of home, with a lovely view of the lake and easy access to the lake. The gourmet kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and there were appliances galore (I actually made lemon ice cream and coffee ice cream from scratch). The accessible bathroom and bedroom on the main level worked out perfectly for the seniors in our group. The property managers were quick to respond with any questions about the property as well as providing updates and re-stocking of supplies. The owners Marla and Larry were fantastic hosts - readily available and responsive to our group's questions- the boat tour they took us around Bobs lake leading to The Rock and the Island House were magical and made for unique experiences that the youngsters in our group will never forget. The Great House served as a perfect backdrop for our family's gathering in a place which had ample space for everyone, from the patio on the dock to the entertaining ping pong table in the screened in porch, to the hot tub and the fire pit. The kitchen was very well- appointed and made for some fun evenings of cooking family meals together. Air conditioned comfort was appreciated and the cleanliness and brightness of the home was very welcoming. The Great House was very conducive to lots of great moments of just hanging, resting and catching up with our dear family members.

This was a beautiful cottage in a great location, and with very convenient access to the dock and water. Many amenities were provided, including a hot tub, 2 bbqs, a ping pong table, a fire pit, and a paddle board. Our group had a great time, and we would certainly stay here again.

A house spectacular ... as described by Marla it is not a home it is a palace. We had the opportunity to share with friends the new year in this house and to be honest we love this place. It has all the amenities you can imagine. 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (I mean almost a full bathroom per family or per room). Really 100% recommended !!

Christmas holidays done right

Stunning views, chefs style kitchen right down to the last detail. Beautiful fireplaces. Cottage was able to be sectioned off for private space when needed. The grounds where unique with character to roam around. The cottage was clean, modern, and very spacious. Marla the owner was so accommodating and kind. Would definitely come back in the summer.

I am a psychologist who fell in love with Bobs Lake at my first visit 39 years ago. My love for the lake made me turn this into a business that I cherish.

Why they chose this property

Located in South Frontenac, midway between Toronto and Montreal, Bobs Lake is rural Ontario’s largest wilderness lake. What makes this property unique

Not just a cottage but part of a small resort with many shared amenities: basketball, pickleball, volley ball, badminton, bicycles, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, peddle boat, a playground and more -- all included. You can rent a fishing boat, pontoon or speedboat on site.
