About the property

Incomparable Location, Exceptional Facility Quality, Personable Service

Uniquely located less than one mile from the entrance of Olympic National Park, your cabin is sitting amongst the cedars and legendary Douglas firs. Take pleasure in the unparalleled views of the Hurricane Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Dawn as you discover the definition of God’s country. The breathtaking vistas and tranquil surroundings are reserved only for the guests of this spectacular mountain haven. You, your family and friends will be captivated by the scenery and find yourselves immediately at peace.

Nestled on the secluded Lake Dawn's hill side, our home offers a romantic oasis for couples or the perfect retreat for families. Relax on the spacious, green-surrounded deck and unwind while enjoying the scenery and listening to the melodious harmony of the chattering birds in the woods. Deers are common in your front yard; black bears, cougars, bobcats, and coyotes are occasional visitors. The loudest noise in the winter is snow falling off the roof top and the brightest lights during the summer are the Milky Way winding across the night sky. If you are in the mood for an outdoor adventure, bring your family and friends along as you set foot on the trails that lead deep into the heart of the world renowned moss hanging forest!

Our home is located at 1800' elevation in the mountains and would be easily accessible by automobiles. There is ample parking space for cars and trucks on the higher and lower level parking or by the roadside.

Newly renovated, the cabin provides for the demands of the discerning traveler - everything is carefully handcrafted and meticulously detailed.

Downstairs, the open plan with vaulted ceilings feels very roomy and open to nature while also being cozy. There is a gourmet kitchen well equipped with all the cooking amenities plus electric range, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher all in brand new condition. You will find everything you need in this kitchen and throughout the home: plenty of glassware, cookware, small appliances, spices, basic condiments, baking supplies, storage supplies, all paper products, detergents, dryer sheets, etc. The living room is interior designer's dreamwork for a rustic yet elegant cabin. The carefully selected furniture with beautifully matching paintings and art decor on the wall reflect the ambiance of wilderness and rugged beauty. There is a Smart TV with WIFI for watching shows or getting connections with outside world, with DVD player and movie library for your entertainment plus books for your laid-back enjoyment. Each room is heated during the winter time with a user friendly Pic-a-Watt heater that you may adjust room temperature as you wish. The two downstairs bedrooms are both equipped with queen beds and comfortable mattresses to rest on. The blinds are set for night time privacy and open to let in first ray of Olympic sunshine and you can view the Hurricane Ridge mountain tops right from your bed! There is one bathroom in the house, which is also located on the first floor, furnished with all new bath tub, sink countertop and toilet designed both for their charm and practical use.

Upstairs features a spacious loft with a twin/full bunkbed plus a futon bed for extended family stay or fun for children. The large windows are designed for receiving a panoramic view of the natural beauty of this enchanted forest.

The laundry room is behind the master bedroom with its own access door. Newly completed, it has a broad folding table and spacious shelves for ironing and storage. A large capacity washer and dryer are ideal for family and friends' laundry use.

From the renowned lavender fields and lighthouse in Sequim, to the "Twilight" tours and moss-covered Hoh Rain Forest in Forks, from the iconic La Push beach pine and rock formations to the romantic excursion to Victoria, there are more tourist possibilities than you will have time for. In any event, our goal is to simply knock your boots off with our incomparable location, exceptional facility quality and personable service to the last details.

Rustic cabin ideally suited to touring Olympic Peninsula

  • 4 of 5

Enchanted Forest Cabin is a comfortably furnished, rustic cabin with well equipped kitchen. The manager was very responsive in meeting our needs. It is ideal for one or two couples with children. It is located adjacent to the Hurricane Ridge entrance to Olympic National Park and is convenient to services in Port Angeles. Note that there are WIFI and DVDs but no TV service. Also note that the queen beds are quite high, requiring a high step stool for shorter people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Calming getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was clean and well appointed. Was a quiet, peaceful environment. A deer and her baby made regular visits.

Nice place.

  • 4 of 5

Lovely setting. Great location. Private yet close to many sites and activities. Comfortable home. My main complaint is there are no shades on the loft windows so different to sleep in the loft.

Perfect location to explore Olympic National Park!

  • 5 of 5

Our blended family with children ages 22, 18, 15 and 4 enjoyed our stay. Perfect location to explore nature. With a little planning on our part the one bathroom did not hinder our stay. The kids movies supplied at the cabin came in handy to occupy our 4 yr old, while we packed up. Owner was very responsive when we were troubleshooting the wireless router. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We are grateful the owner shared this gem on VRBO!

A comfortable cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We used it as our base for seeing various parts of the park and the peninsula. It is well appointed regarding cookware, too. It was just right for our multigenerational family.

Our property is about 6 miles from downtown Port Angeles and the best way to get up here is to take Hwy 101 to Port Angeles, and exit on Race Street South. This is the only access road to Olympic National Park north entrance and the road will split after the Olympic National Park Visitor Center and turn into Mt Angeles Road and Hurricane Ridge Road. Stay right on Hurricane Ridge Road and drive up for about 5 miles before turning right onto Lake Dawn Road. 232 Lake Dawn is about half mile down the road on your right.
