Appartement op geweldige locatie

Prachtig gelegen appartement aan strand en aan rand van centrum van Santa Maria. Het grote balkon kijkt uit op zwembad en strand. Appartement beter geschikt voor 4 personen; de slaapbank in de woonkamer is doorgezakt. Uitrusting vd keuken was te beperkt (glazen, borden etc.) en er waren bij aankomst geen strandlakens, kregen we maar 1 set sleutels en werkte de safe niet. Communicatie hierover met vertegenwoordiger van eigenaar was moeizaam (terwijl daarvoor communicatie met eigenaar naar volle tevredenheid was) maar eea werd uiteindelijk opgelost (door onaangekondigd appartement te betreden wat wij niet fijn vonden). Was niet duidelijk waar wasruimte was. Appartement wordt luxueuzer voorgesteld dan het in werkelijkheid is, maar lokatie is geweldig en om deze reden zou ik het appartement weer huren.

Hi Netty Sorry everything was not to your liking but glad everything was sorted out when you contacted my agent.I have just checked your booking and you only booked two adults so do not know why you were using the sofa bed etc.I think they would have rang the bell before entry but maybe you did not hear it if you were on the balcony.

Top location, lovely balcony and swimming pool but some elements could be upgraded

We enjoyed our stay at the flat and found the location to be great for convenience and quiet, close to bars, restaurants and supermarkets but untroubled by any noise. Balcony was spacious with good quality sun beds and plenty of sunshine. The development's swimming pool is very clean and and we always managed to get sunbeds. The security is good. For two of us there was enough space in the apartment. Michael was fantastic to deal with and he got onto the local management quickly to sort out niggles. Overall I'd say the apartment is good but could do with some updating and attention to detail to compete with others in this price range. The bed in the apartment was comfortable (but the pillows very poor). Kitchen equipment is pretty worn with just basics for 2-3 people, poor condition pans and an absence of things like salad bowl or serving dishes, functioning tin opener: we bought wine glasses. We were self-catering and had to be inventive to cope with the absence of microwave or oven. Sheets quality was OK but towels and pillowcases were poor. The flat wasn't very clean when we arrived: the fridge was particularly unpleasant, and the floor was grubby but this was rectified the next morning and two further cleans were organized during our stay. The process for replacing sheets and towels was a bit hit and miss and we had to follow up to get a full set. A broken toaster was replaced after a three days but the air conditioning never functioned. As other reviewers have commented, there isn't any Wifi and we had to sort this out for ourselves buying a local sim card (which wasn't difficult or expensive).

We will replace the pillows and the kitchen equipment that need changing. I will have a word with the cleaning staff regarding the towels and sheets. I was unaware the Air con did not work and will get that attended to.

Schön gelegenes Appartement mit großem Verbesserungspotential

Das Appartement hat einen phantastischen Blick zum Meer und liegt direkt an einem sehr schönen Strand, der aber zum Baden nur bedingt geeignet ist (große Steine im Wasser). Die Abholung vom Flughafen erfolgte erst nach Anruf bei der verwaltenden Agentur und nicht wie vereinbart nach Ankunft des Fluges. Die freundliche Mitarbeiterin der Agentur war sehr bemüht, alle Nachfragen zu beantworten bzw. zu erledigen. So z.B. die Instandsetzung des TV Gerätes, das erst noch programmiert werden musste. Dies geschah dann durch einen Fachmann gegen Ende unseres Aufenthaltes. Internet gibt es im Appartement nicht. Wir konnten das WiFi der Agentur nutzen (d.h. auf der Straße stehend vor der Agentur). Der Gasherd funktionierte tadellos, jedoch waren die Pfannen mit beschädigter Beschichtung nicht zu gebrauchen. Insgesamt wirkte die Einrichtung sehr ungepflegt. Im einzigen Wohnzimmerschrank befanden sich neben zerfledderten Büchern und Zeitschriften diverse Glühbirnen, zwei defekte Toaster und ein defekter Wasserkocher. Ein dritter Toaster war nicht benutzbar (elektrische Kurzschlussreaktion). Insgesamt wirkte die Einrichtung abgenutzt, renovierungsbedürftig und nicht Eigentümer betreut. Der Mietpreis erscheint uns daher nicht angemessen.

Es tut mir leid, dass wir nicht pünktlich am Flughafen waren. Der Komplex wurde gerade im TV-System digitalisiert und wir mussten einige Anpassungen vornehmen. Wir machen Werbung, dass es WLAN gegen Aufpreis gibt, wenn Sie es in der Wohnung wünschen Halten Sie Ersatzbirnen, Toaster und Wasserkocher bereit, damit der Techniker sie austauschen kann, wenn Sie gefragt haben, ob sie nur den Stecker austauschen müssen. Wir werden jedoch einen neuen Satz Pfannen erhalten. Vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare und wir werden versuchen, es besser zu machen.

Schöne Appartementanlage

Die Anlage, in der das Appartement liegt, ist ruhig, gepflegt und hat eine tolle Lage, mit einem fantastischen Blick auf's Meer. Der Strand vor der Türe ist nicht so schön und weniger zum Baden geeignet. Aber es gibt fußläufig einen unendlich langen, wunderschönen Sandstrand, der zu endlosen Strandspaziergängen und zum Schwimmen einlädt. Der Ort selbst ist sehr touristisch, kleine Geschäfte, Restaurants und Bars sind direkt vor der Türe. Das Appartement selbst verfügt NICHT über einen Internetanschluss/ WiFi, auch der Fernseher (falls dieser benötigt wird) funktionierte nicht. Es gab insgesamt drei Toaster, alle drei defekt. Töpfe und Pfanne waren vorhanden, für eine Selbstversorgung aufgrund des Zustands aber unbrauchbar. Folgende Dinge, die in der Anzeige genannt sind, waren ebenfalls nicht vorhanden: Safe, Strandtücher, Sonnenleigenmatten, sowie die Möglichkeit, auf der Terrasse zu grillen. Wir bewohnten das Appartement für fünf Tage. In dieser Zeit wurde es weder gereinigt, noch gab es frische Handtücher. Der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen funktionierte nicht, obwohl er zugesagt war. Ja, Michael der Vermieter antwortete immer ziemlich direkt auf unsere Mails. Organisiert hat er aber nichts, das mussten wir dann selber machen.

Toller Urlaub, beste Lage

Das Appartment befindet sich in einer sehr gepflegten Anlage und ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Von der Terrasse/Bett hat man einen phantastischen Blick aufs Meer. Die Anlage liegt mitten in Santa Maria, Restaurants, Bars, Geschäfte und Strand sind innerhalb von wenigen Minuten zu erreichen - trotzdem ist es ruhig und sehr erholsam. Das Appartment wurde innerhalb von 2 Wochen 2 mal zusätzlich gereinigt, außerdem gab es frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Durch die Securitiy rund um die Uhr hat man sich jederzeit sicher gefühlt. Michael (der Inhaber) hat immer sehr kurzfristig auf unsere Mails reagiert. Wir waren dieses Jahr das zweite Mal in diesem Appartment und es war sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert!

Good points were that the apartment was good. Spacious good balconies with good view and could sunbathe . Shower was great. Bad points . Check in not until 3 . 4 30 before somone came to clean apartment . Was very cold and apartment was high up so we were cold at night . No blankets just ONE sheet to keep us warm . Slept with clothes on and beach towels over us. We asked owner about blankets and were asked there is only supposed to be 1 person . Sent confirmation of booking for 3 people . No response . Person you get keys for not very helpfull either . If we came back to Cape Very (really doubt ) i will stay where i have stayed before .

The last guests I believe did not leave till the last minute.It is very rare that it is cold in Cape Verde and there are now blankets in the apartment just in case.On the Emails the client sent me it said one person but when I checked the original booking it Said there were Three people that was. Something to do with ownersdirect not sure why.I have told my agent to be more helpful.

SIMPLY SPECTACULAR! Very recommended

We spent two weeks in August in Mike's apartment and we had a great time. The keys were handed over by a travel agency located in the same building of the apartment, managed by two gentle sisters, which also managed the guided tour of the island and more for us... THANK YOU! This self-catering apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and perfectly located in Santa Maria. It's just a few steps away from the center, shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. And... it has direct access to the beach! The big seafront terrace on the back side, offers a great view on the swimming pool and the beautiful sea (exactly as illustrated on the pictures of the announcement). There is another terrace on the street side, useful for drying laundry. The living room with open kitchen is also quite big and the air conditioning cools the entire apartment... even if, opening the windows on both sides, there was a pleasant temperature in the house. Security and cleaning staff are very friendly and the entire residence is accurately supervised and cleaned. We surely recommend Mike's apartment, if you wish to spend your holidays on Sal Island.

Great owner - Shoddy management

The apartment is great but had faults, door to the twin bedroom balcony was hanging off, major ant problem and nobody knew anything about keys. Fortunately the owner had provided the keysafe number. All worked OK but the management agent refused to speak to us, claiming she didn't speak English, other owners who were there at the time said that she ALWAYS does this, so we couldn't arrange extra cleaning (and there are no brooms / dust pans provided) and had to go and buy our own extra towels. Also only two sunlounger mattresses and the two single beds need the mattresses replacing.
