About Gail Robson
I live in Swindon, Wiltshire with my partner Sean and daughter Victoria. My partner and I both work extremely long hours running our own business. For us to buy a penthouse in picturesque Tavira to relax in our rare spare time has always been a dream. We were fortunate to be able to purchase our penthouse and it is everything we could have wished for. As this is our pride and joy, it is a pleasure to share our home with clients. We pride ourselves on having furnished it to a high standard for everybody to enjoy and be comfortable in. Our aim is for you to have a fantastic holiday and we do everything we can to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. We are always on the end of the phone or contactable by email to answer any questions that you may have. Kind Regards Gail

All pictures on the website are correct. It is 10-15 minutes walk into town centre via steps in pictures.
Well equipped apartment with great air con.
Contact with Gail is superb answers messages very quickly and any issues dealt with quickly.
Pool area is lovely, shallow pool for small children , larger pool is graduated depth which is great for older children and adults.
You can have inflatables and balls in the pool within reason.
Grassed area that you can play footy on, very important for my boys.
Aldi, Lidl in the town centre for cheaper food and many local shops/ markets available.
Lots of beach toys, chairs and umbrella and cooler box stored in cupboard near front door that houses the electric circuit box etc
Had a great time eating food on the penthouse roof. Although it’s very hot in summer! There’s a sun canopy that we had over us daily.
Great property, fantastic roof terrace.
Located close to the centre of Tavira.
Our stay at this property in Tavira was wonderful. Gail was a great host who communicated with us so well. This well equipped, modern property was just what my husband and teenage girls wanted. A short walk into the township of Tavira and eateries just down the road if you prepared to eat closer to home.
Lovely swimming pool and during the heatwave the air conditioning was appreciated greatly. This is a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend this property 😀
Great property large light and airy, very well equipped.
Spacious roof terrace with views across saltpans to the sea.
Hill location includes a pleasant if steep return from Tavira town centre if walking. There is plenty of free parking in this charming town. Overall great location, great holiday.
Bright and spacious
We had booked the penthouse on a recommendation and were very impressed when we saw it for real. It is bright, spacious and well laid out with everything we needed and more. It is also immaculately clean. The crowning glory is the private roof terrace where we relaxed and dined most days. The walk to town involved descending 120 steps to the river but for those not keen on walking, there is the option of a road and a taxi home, if need be. Tavira itself is a beautiful town, with interesting places to visit and lots of cafes and restaurants. A trip on the ferry to Tavira Island is well worth it. Once past the sun worshipers congregated under the "sunbrellas", there is a vast expanse of deserted beach to wander on. A short bus run from Tavira to Cabanas is also worth doing and gives access to easy, quiet walks beyond the decked prom. There are lots of other trips that we could have done but our plan was relaxation. I'm glad we went in May, before the season hotted up. I would most definitely recommend this apartment and location.
The most amazing penthouse appartment in Tavira
This penthouse is simply the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed in via HomeAway.
It is decorated to the highest standard , is equipped with everything you could ever need and really feels like home.
The position of the apartment in Tavira is absolutely perfect and very close to the town. However it is positioned in beautifully kept gardens and a quiet street.
The roof terrace is the best part about it, totally private, great views and very peaceful
Dulce met us at the beginning of the holiday and was very helpful. Gail's communication and attention to detail is second to none.
I would highly recommend that you try this apartment.
Thank you for your lovely review Rhona. Gives me great satisfaction to hear you were so happy with everything.
Special interest holidays:
Many people come to the Eastern Algarve to Bird Watch as the Ria Formosa is the most impressive birding site in the Algarve. Large areas of dunes, lagoons,
channels, islands, saltpans, pools and river mouths. Haven for the ornithologist.
The beaches in the Eastern Algarve are long and golden with clear, warm water. Isla de Tavira beach can be reached by a charming short boat trip from Tavira town or you can take the toy train to the unspoilt beach at Barril. There are also many other enormous, clean, sandy beaches all along the coast, as far as the Spanish border to the east, or Faro to the west, none of which are overcrowded.
Unbroken stretches of beach, with good cafes, fish restaurants and parking.
Faro airport is approximately 35km/30mins easy drive away. Airport transfers can be arranged. Car hire is available at the airport with very competitive rates, although a car is definitely not essential for the enjoyment of your holiday. If you choose to hire a car, there is ample free parking at the complex.
The historic town of Tavira is only a 5 minute walk from the penthouse. Tavira is known as "Little Venice" or the "Gem of the Eastern Algarve" because of the old bridge and the River Gilao running through the town connecting both sides with glorious palm trees. The unspoilt coastal villages of Santa Luzia, Cabanas, Cacela Velha and Fuzeta are all only 5-10 minutes drive away. The Spanish border is approximately 30km east where the Castles and delightful villages are well worth exploring.
Tavira can be explored on foot, miniature train or by horse and carriage. It has a wide selection of riverside bars, cafes and restaurants. The romantic square is ideal for a day time coffee, or on beautiful summer evenings, enjoy the open air local festivals. Excellent amenities, including supermarkets, banks, tourist office, bus station, train station and ferry point. A fabulous daily market supplying fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. There are fantastic forest walks to be found and the boat trips are certainly not to be missed. For those that enjoy a night out on the town, Monte Gordo and Ayamonte offer lots of lively bars, restaurants and even a casino. If you wish to go further afield, Seville is less than two hours drive away and provides a fabulous day out.
