The Getaway er en nyligt renoveret hytte med 2 soveværelser (soveværelse har en king size seng - 2. soveværelse har 2 enkeltsenge) og 1 bad (brusebad) beliggende i den hyggelige landsby jule ligger kun få miles vest for Munising.

The Getaway Cabin har et fladskærms-tv med kabel, video / dvd med forskellige film til gæsterne at nyde. Der findes også forskellige spil og puslespil. Indretningstemaet indeholder billeder og kort over Munising & Lake Superior, der repræsenterer områdets interessante historie.

Køkkenet i fuld størrelse har alle nye applikationer og er fuldt udstyret med alle køkkenredskaber og køkkengrej. Der er en stor baggård med et picnicbord, en gasgrill til alle dine udendørs madlavning, og en brandkasse til din aftenlejrbrande. Kvarteret adgang til Lake Superior er ca 350 '. Du kan starte din båd eller kajak fra stranden. ATV Trailhead er placeret på tværs af vejen bag Casino.

Great Place!

Great location and house was super clean! Our dogs loved having a fenced in yard, and there was a campground nearby with great walking paths and beach access.

A great experience once again.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Getaway Cabin on our trips to the Upper Peninsula. Karen was very attentive and check in with us a couple of times during our stay. We would recommend this site to anyone interested in a place to stay near Munising.

Recent stay in Christmas Mi

The place worked out great for us. It was centrally located so we could go exploring east and west in the UP. Cabin had all we needed; kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils for indoor and outdoor eating and amenities were all in good working order. Would recommend this place to other people doing the same things we did.

Autumn Stay

My husband, our dog, and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Attractions in Munising stay open much later in the season than other smaller towns but some of the restaurants close by to the rental had already closed for the season. The rental itself and as listed. It was extremely clean upon arrival. Communication with Karen with excellent but not overdone. The beach access down the street is amazing to view stars and search for rocks! The only issue is where the heater was initially placed, when plugged into the closest outlet and also having the fireplace on, it blew a fuse. We switched the heater to a different outlet and didn’t have an issue since. We would definitely stay again!

A true gift to find in Christmas

10/10!! Karen truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. Karen even left us a very sweet honeymoon gift to help us celebrate our time at her cabin. The location could not be better situated! It is just next to one of the best eateries in Christmas. It was the perfect location to visit everything in the area from hikes and waterfalls to boat tours and visiting small coastal towns. This place truly has it all!

Cozy Little Cabin

We were delightfully surprised when stepping into this clean, cozy little cabin. The host, Karen, has thought of many details that make this rental desirable. The location makes it convenient to visit many of the area waterfalls and other outdoor activities. A short walk down to the end of the road brings you to the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline. This place is a gem!

Clean, cozy cabin, perfect location

I cannot say enough good about this vrbo rental. This was my first time using vrbo. The getaway cabin is a perfect location to get to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore area and things to do around the Munising area. The cabin is right next door to the Duck Pond restaurant is a great benefit too, you can walk to dinner! The fenced-in back yard was a bonus having puppies to just let them run and wear off some energy. And the short walk to the end of the road to enjoy the beach for sunrise was GREAT. Karen was such a great hostess, communication was great, she checked in with us at the perfect times to make sure we arrived, if we needed anything & nearing check out. I would highly recommend this location and if we find ourselves looking to stay in Munising again, this would be the only place I would stay! Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Relaxing stay

Cute home and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable. There is a bar with a patio next door but it appeared to be closed two of our three-night stay and on night three, we were not disturbed by any noise. We were traveling with our dog so very pleased to find the backyard completely fenced in. The lake was a very short walk from the home. The location was an easy in and out for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. Communication with our host was simple. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location and host

Karen is so welcoming and helpful! The Getaway is a perfect location for exploring the Superior coast—proximity to Pictured Rocks, Au Train, Grand Island, and beaches within walking distance. The cabin is cozy and immaculate. This was our third stay and I hope not our last.

Great time

The cabin was everything we hoped for and more. It was so close to the Lake and everything we wanted to do. Karen was great to work with. We enjoyed the fenced in backyard, fire pit and grill.

Perfect little getaway spot

Very clean and in a nice quiet little town. Only about 10 minutes to pictured rocks tours and tons of other amazing must see sights . Owner is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions too!

Cabin getaway

The cabin worked well for our stay- allowing us to explore in both directions. Only 5-10 minutes to get to restaurants in Munising. Karen was a great host-- we had a few issues during our stay and Karen was quick to respond and solved the problem She was very kind and gracious- in our interactions and compensating us for the issues that arose. We would stay again if we come to beautiful Pictured Rocks area again!

Picture Perfect in Pictured Rocks

We really enjoyed our stay and Karen was great at sending updates and messages. She even offered early check in check out which was incredibly kind. The beds were comfortable although nothing beats a pillow from home! Everything was clean including the yard which both my dogs loved! The sofas are cloth though, so we made sure to bring king sheets from home (my best idea yet lol) to cover them because our dogs shed like nothing else even though they did a great job staying off the furniture. The location is perfect. I had fun walking down the street and being at the lake or a quick car ride to one of the beach areas. All the tours are about 8 minutes away which made planning easy. My favorite part was that the oven/stove worked! There is a little guesswork needed to make sure its fully preheated but if my hubby can figure it out anyone can lol! While we love eating out I try to always have a cost effective trip so a working kitchen is essential. I do recommend never leaving your dog unattended in the yard though because it isn't fool proof in the back or at the gate so just be aware (I don't really think you should ever do that in a area you don't know but thought I should add it in). Altogether it was a nice easy stay in a great location with tons to do. I would definitely come again and recommend to friends!

Pictured Rocks Tour

Our trip to MI was amazing. Staying at this cabin was so perfect and close to the Pictured Rocks and other cool things to do. It was always so nice to come back and relax with a fire outback. The backyard was so big and fenced in our Lab loved it. The cabin was so cozy and clean. It had absolutely everything you needed. The owner was so very nice and checked in twice to see how things were going. I would recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to Christmas, MI. It was a fun place to stay. Pet friendly is always helpful. Thank you!

One of our favorites

We’ve stayed here several times. It’s a great location, very clean and perfect for our needs. Karen is very responsive and easy to work with. Our only wishes would be bath towels and better lamps for reading.

Magical

This little cabin in Munising is a magical place. Karen was a perfect host and checked in a few times to make sure everything was okay. The area was spectacular with the fall colors and we did a lot of hiking with our golden in tow. He enjoyed the fenced in backyard to be able to stretch his legs and play ball. Lake Superior is right down the street and a quick walk away. The Dog Pound and Froggies served great food and then back to the cabin for a nice evening playing games and watching tv.

Munising/ Christmas

Property was as described just outside of Munising. Perfect location and just a short walk down the street to Lake Superior! Also, within walking distance to Furnace Bay. Close to so many activities! Pictured Rocks hiking and boat cruises, 35 minute drive to Marquette, several restaurants and fun breweries. Communication with Karen was outstanding and the Getaway Cabin was clean, cozy and well appointed! Fenced in back yard was perfect for our small dog Daisy. We had a wonderful and welcoming time on our first visit to the UP; we hated to leave. Thank you, Karen!

Perfect home base

Great location close to Munising; we did a lot of day trips from here-Grand Marais, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Marquette, Lakenenland, many waterfalls and lighthouses…Lots of restaurant choices nearby plus a casino. Short walk 1/2 a block to dip your toes in Lake Superior! Very clean, great fenced in back yard, and plenty of room for a couple or a couple with 2 kids. Plus a great host!
