De propiedad y gestión privada, Greenwich Cottage ofrece un alojamiento bellamente decorado en la impresionante costa de North Yorkshire y cerca de las extensas arenas de la playa de Filey Bay. La propiedad cuenta con 4 habitaciones (2 dobles, 2 dobles, todas con TV de pantalla plana / DVD), 2 baños, guardarropa en la planta baja y un comedor separado. BT High Speed Wifi, BT TV (con BT TV + box: pausa, grabación, etc.): el precio del alquiler incluye BT Sport, Kids + Channels, Sky Movies y Netflix y un televisor 4K Ultra HD de 50 pulgadas en la sala de estar. Greenwich Cottage es perfecto para el grupo familiar más grande o para dos familias de vacaciones juntas.

NB - Decidimos nombrar nuestra propiedad "Greenwich Cottage" - "Greenwich" es también el nombre de este estilo de cabaña en The Bay.

La cabaña está situada en el prestigioso pueblo de vacaciones "The Bay" y los huéspedes tienen acceso gratuito a la piscina cubierta climatizada, la sauna, la sala de vapor y otras instalaciones de ocio, así como a las praderas cercanas a la propiedad. Nuestros huéspedes también pueden seguir el camino privado y el sendero para la caminata de 15-20 minutos hasta las 5 millas de playa de arena de Filey Bay. The Bay también tiene su propia casa pública que sirve comida y bebida de buena calidad, una cafetería / bistró (el horario de apertura puede estar limitado en invierno) y una farmacia que almacena algunos productos básicos. Greenwich Cottage comparte un gran jardín con césped con propiedades vecinas e incluso hay una cancha de petanca cerca. Las canchas de tenis, tiro con arco, alquiler de bicicletas y otras actividades también están disponibles dentro de The Bay.

Filey for a week

The property was exactly as advertised. The fact that it was on a site with its own dog friendly Pub, Gym with pool and convenience store made it all the more appealing. There were six of us plus a dog and we had plenty of room. We never had the opportunity to use the outside seating area and BBQ due to the weather but noticed that the space outside was clean and well maintained. The beach is a short walk from the cottage and we walked along it into Filey...our dog loved it. The BT TV box signal was a bit hit and miss but apart from that we had a very enjoyable time. We would definitely visit again.

Fantastic place to stay everything you need under one roof and more, very relaxing and would definitely recommend as a centre for touring the area. My only bit of extra advice is not to use the John Paul Jones on site pub to dine as it is overpriced and poor quality food.

Great escape

This is our fourth time at the Bay staying in the same type of property and this was by far the best! The house was spotless and the communication from the owner was brilliant. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning again as soon as we can.

Family weekend

Property just as described, everything you need for a short break. Nick was easy to communicate with and a problem re the cleaning was quickly responded to and dealt with. The Bay site is well organised with decent facilities, John Paul pub a bit of a let down.

Home away from Home

Had a great week at this property. House had everything that was needed. Lots of room for our large family but cosy. Great communication so we came prepared with games. Couldn’t ask for more!! Perfect.

Short break

Its been a great break away. Great property well equipped and ideal for what you need away from home. Grandkids loved it but I need another break now from them..... only kidding. Would highly recommend and will return next year.

Great stay in a really lovely cottage

Have just arrived back after a very relaxing short break in Greenwich Cottage. Communication with Nick was great, from the booking process through to our visit. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable with plenty of room for us all. The cottage was ideally located to visit Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and it was a 15 minute walk to the beach. We ate at the onsite restaurant one night which was fine, if a little busy, but the rest of the evenings we cooked in the well equipped kitchen. This was followed by a few family games which were supplied, uno went down particularly well! All in all we had a great stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely house, child friendly location

Seven of us, four adults and three children, spent four lovely nights at Greenwich Cottage, 27 The Parade. The cottage is in a brilliant location - 5 minutes to the pub and swimming pool, 15 minutes to the beach. The weather was mixed, but didn't stop us walking to Filey along the beach, playing in the park and exploring the area. The cottage was perfect for us - clean, warm, well equipped, really good communal spaces and bedrooms. The back of the cottage overlooks a grassed area which looks perfect for summer barbecues. We all agreed that we would love to return for another visit - in fact we didn't want to come home!

Definitely recommend

Great clean house. We stayed with 5 teenagers who stayed upstairs while we stayed downstairs. Worked very well. 5 mins to the beach. 45 mins along the beach to Filey. Very good communication with the owner Definitely looking to stay here again

Lovely house in perfect surroundings.

This is our second stay at this property. We love it! The beds are so comfortable and we have never seen any towels bigger or fluffier than those provided! This property caters for everything you need and is within a 10 minute walk of the beautiful beach. The on-site amenities are great but would recommend Hunmanby for pubs, butchers, deli etc. The Piebald Inn (Hunmanby) is a definite must if you stay here. Communication with the owners is fantastic. Can not recommend this place highly enough!

Lovely place

The house is a fantastic base to holiday from. Clean (ish) and very spacious. Shower heads were full of timescale, skirting boards had not been dusted in a while and j don't think anybody has considered cleaning under the sofa or down the side of the cushions. We had to hunt for one of the remotes for the tv and then found it down the side of one of the sofa cushions. There is everything you could want or need in the kitchen. And the bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds. The area is lovely for taking the dog for a walk, not so much for the fishing though. It's virtually non existent with the ponds not looked after properly. On-site security were fantastic when I had to get an ambulance to take my Uncle to hospital part way through the holiday. The John Paul Jones pub is not bad for a meal if you can't be bothered cooking. Limited menu, but nice food. Bayside kitchen is a bit pricey, but still nice. The walk to the beach is quite long and it'll take you 20 minutes to get there but 3 hours to get back because of the steepness of the incline, especially if pushing a buggy and carrying a 3 year old too!!! All in all, it was a really good holiday.

Perfect for large groups and families

Lovely property, with everything we needed and more! Approx 10-15 minute walk to a lovely quiet beach. Good amenities on site including a pool, arcade room, pub and Italian restaurant. The house was well kept, clean and tidy. Rooms were just the right size and beds were comfy. Well stocked with all we needed and a good base for visiting Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and York. Already talking about visiting again next year.

Spacious and well equipped property on a great site

Really enjoyed our stay at this fabulous complex which is really well laid out with great facilities and in close proximity to the beach and within easy reach of other coastal towns and rural areas. Would highly recommend this complex to anyone considering staying there. The property we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, a real home from home. The site was very quiet and peaceful at night.

Greenwich Cottage is owned by the Parker family from Selby, North Yorkshire - Nick, Alison, Beth and Robert. We bought the property in 2011 and, although bookings from guests will always take priority, we spend as much time as we can there. We've had many great times at The Bay and really hope all our guests enjoy it as much as we do.
