About Simon and Jean
Hello Lake District lovers. Simon and Jean welcome you to our Windermere Cottage. We live in the Isle of Man but spend time walking in the Lakes as often as we can. We hope you too will enjoy the many recreational opportunities that the area offers using Santon Cottage as a wonderful base.
Simon and Jean purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Simon and Jean chose Windermere
Secluded & quiet, but in the heart of Windermere with its many restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. Many other local facilities and excellent transport links (3 minutes from rail & bus stations).
What makes this Cottage unique
Grade 2 listed 1840s Lakeland cottage.

This is a cozy clean, quiet place in an excellent location. It is initially a bit hard to find as you have to go behind the inn near there, but that means it is perfectly secluded! You have everything you need for a good stay in the lakes, fine details like touch lights in the bedroom are a lovely addition.
We had a lovely time, thanks!
Parking is a couple of streets away but only a quick walk.
Thank you for your kind words and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the cottage is in a quiet area and, though central, is secluded. We try to include homely touches especially as we are often there ourselves.

As a 74 yr old I found the steps to the bottom a bit deep
And as per the usual so far on our trip .... no hand rails in the shower ... I used to run a B&B and hand rails are a must
And not enough room to walk around in kitchen
Otherwise a perfect stay ... once we found it!!!!
Great cosy house
Really cosy house plus really dog friendly
Stayed here for a weekend (April 2019)
Cottage was beautifully clean and very cosy and comfortable . Everything you needed for your stay is there .
The owners has furnished it superbly
. CANNOT FAULT ANYTHING
Teenage sons also enjoyed themselves !!!
We will be back
Thank you for your kind words about our cottage. So glad you had everything you needed for a great stay. As we stay at our cottage regularly we do like our home comforts as well. I hope you are able to have another break in the Lakes in the future, you would be very welcome. The Lake District is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year.
Thank you Jean and Simon
Very cosy clean and good central location to the town.
We are a commercial drone film crew that needed a two night stay at short notice. The owners are very accommodating with a lovely holiday cottage.
Glad we were able to help you out with accommodation at short notice and hope the weather was good for your filming. Jean and Simon
Lovely place I would definitely stay here again
Very clean and has everything you need in this beautiful cottage
Thank you and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Santon Cottage. You are welcome back at anytime. Jean and Simon
