Gorgeous cottage on Hathersage. It was a great base to explore the Peak District. We loved having the garden to relax in and the cottage offered plenty of space for our party of six.We had a really lovely stay!
Pippa was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The property was perfect for my family of five (travelling with two cars) and ranging in ages from 13 to 80.If we are ever back in this area this is where we're staying.

The house was perfect. Clean, well stocked, beautifully furnished and in a perfect location. The host was lovely and brought home made fresh bread and a lovely lemon drizzle cake. It was all wonderful.
This is a comfortable, spacious family home. It has loads of character and is well equipped. We enjoyed sitting outside and the garden area is great for children. It is only a short walk to shops, pubs etc. The cottage is on quite a busy road and fortunately most rooms are at the back of the house, overlooking the garden. Good contact with the owner. It is easy to find some road parking, not too far away, if you have more than 2 cars. A great base, in a lovely village, at a reasonable price for a property that sleeps 8.

Hi Margaret
Many thanks for your lovely review , really appreciate you taking the time and pleased it all went well. Best regards

The property was perfect and met all our needs. When we arrived we were greeted with a homemade lemon drizzle cake and freshly baked bread which was an absolute treat. Hathersage has lots of amenities including plenty of places to eat. There were lots of local walks including up to stanage edge. I would recommend getting a train to Edale if you plan to walk up Kinder Scout, saves fighting for a parking space. A lovely house in a beautiful location, can’t recommend it enough.

“Thanks so much for your lovely review – we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the cake and bread were a hit!
We are really lucky in Hathersage with all the walks and great places to eat. Thanks for mentioning the train to Edale, parking can be a nightmare there sometimes
Thank you for leaving the cottage so tidy and clean – it’s always really appreciated. We’d love to welcome you back again sometime.”
The location is ideal for exploring the town - has a gym, playground, swimming pool plus lots of places to eat. The property has a large garden (brilliant with small children and dogs). It’s has access to two parking spaces which is a must in the busy town. Lovely walks from the house. Great communication- thank you for having us.
The house was ideal for our family get together. It was a spacious property and the calm was calm and inkeeping with the property; some lovely art work. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for 8 people. The property was ideal for taking a dog as had a good outside space. We appreciated the cake, home-cooked bread and milk on arrive - this was a lovely touch!
Beautiful house, central location, secluded sunny garden. Well equipped. Good communication from owner. Only downside is that it's on the main road, which two of the bedrooms face. It very loud, even at night- being earplugs. Also crossing the road in front of house takes some courage- poor visibility and a lot of fast drivers.
The house was spacious and comfortable, and ideal for our long family weekend. Cake bread and milk on arrival was a lovely bonus. The kitchen is well served with plenty of pots and pans, utensils, cutlery, china and glasses. It is situated near the centre of the charming Hathersage village, with pubs, restaurants, takeaways and a great bakery all within a short walk. The two parking spaces were very useful. Parking is at a premium in the centre of the village, although there is a public car park a few minutes walk from the house. The countryside around is fantastic, with plenty of scenic walks available. We are looking forward to returning!

Great cottage, loads of room. Everything provided for a home from home stay. Thoughtful welcome pack containing bread, milk and homemade cake. Host checked in by email to make sure we were in and had everything we needed.
The back garden was a fantastic asset. Plenty of space for the kids to kick a ball or play badminton.
