Terrace Point 15B on the shores of Lake Superior is owner-operated. There is no 3rd party or rental company involved. All communication will be directly with us personally and we feel deeply passionate about our guest’s comfort and experience. Terrace Point 15B is a popular, in-demand end unit that offers privacy and the ability to walk out to the ledge-rock shoreline of Lake Superior. This sun-filled, modern Frank Lloyd Wright/John Howe inspired condo has over 26' of floor to ceiling windows and sits on the shore of Lake Superior. Amenities include a king-size bed, large cedar sauna, a gas fireplace framed with North Shore ledge-rock, a large bathroom with a 2 person slate, walk-in shower with power jets, a fully stocked kitchen, granite counter tops, cherry wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances, it has radiant heated floors, in the living area there’s a sofa and leather swivel chairs, along with a dining and chairs. All the furniture is high-end from Room & Board. This private, end unit sits just 50’ from the shoreline and provides stunning, panoramic views of Lake Superior, the morning sunrises and the stars and moon at night from every room in the unit. Sliding glass doors walk out to a private patio with a table and chairs that are just steps from the lake. Weather you're searching for a romantic get away, a peaceful place to recharge and relax, an opportunity to explore the Gunflint Trail or the Superior Hiking Trail, learn a new skill at the North House Folk School, experience and shop in the " Coolest Small Town," of Grand Marais, or just connect with nature's bounty... Terrace Point is the perfect place!

-Terrace Point is an entire “Smoke Free” property - there is no smoking allowed in the condo OR on the entire grounds.
- Our condo requires the use of a short flight of steps into the unit.
- Our parking area does not have the space to accommodate trailer or campers.
- Please do NOT walk on the lakeside in front of other units. Use the back parking area if you’d like to access the shoreline.

Amazing views, sunrises, amenities, cleanliness, fireplace, sauna, coziness, access, communication with host, etc, etc. Only weird thing is that vrbo required me to rate the skiing...skiing??! Gave it 5 stars, but no, we did no skiing in Oct, just lots of gorgeous late Fall hiking. Best time of year to be up here IMO... just enough people to feel connected with humanity!

This is a lovely condo--well appointed with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. We spent a week enjoying the views, sounds of birds, nearby hiking trails, restaurants , sunrises on the lake, and so much more. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the beautiful accommodations. We recommend this to anyone wanting a great place to getaway for a while.

5 Stars – Perfect North Shore Getaway!We had a fantastic stay at this cozy condo near Grand Marais. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet just a short drive to town and access to Lake Superior. The condo was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. One of the highlights was the beautiful sauna—such a relaxing way to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring. We also enjoyed mornings on the patio overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunrises. This place was the perfect mix of rustic charm and comfort. Highly recommend, and we’d definitely love to come back!

Condo was very very nice! Great location (about six miles from Grand Marais). Great view of Lake Superior! Had an issue upon check-in, an explanation was provided which was great, but it was not rectified (one big floor to ceiling window did not have a shade due to previous occupant having an issue and it had to be removed). Additionally, the bed was very hard which for us was very uncomfortable. Outside of that, excellent place and would highly recommend and would definitely return.

We loved staying at this cozy lakefront home away from home. The area is an outdoor paradise. We hiked to some spectacular places. Loved searching the shoreline for interesting stones. The hosts were very responsive. Bring bug spray if you go in June.

Lovely place to come home to on the North Shore. Especially appreciated the personal sauna. We did find the furniture to be a bit uncomfortable, but enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

We've stayed at several Terrace Point properties over the years and they're all excellent for the price. Sofa and chairs could be more comfortable, but the lake views are outstanding and it's peaceful and quiet in that little neighborhood. Convenient to Grand Marais. The king bed was much more comfortable than many beds we've slept in. We prefer a firm mattress, and this mattress was firm. Everything was clean and neat and well organized. Just the right size for one or two people.

A little bit about who we are. We're a couple passionate about family, friends, the outdoors, going on wild adventures and creating meaningful memories. We love to hike, bike, cross country ski, listen to music, enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning and a local craft beer In the evening. We love to watch sunrises, sunsets, the northern lights, rolling waves and wild life. We enjoy people, travel and cultures that are different from our own. We appreciate good conversation with a bit of sarcasm and quick wit thrown in for good measure. We're eager to learn and try new things. We're best friends and we've added the North Shore to the list of things that feed our souls.

Why they chose this property

Why this property? Because it sits right on the shore of the largest freshwater lake in the entire world and is just 4 miles from the charming town of Grand Marais. We love the big lake and all of its' mysterious moods! The North Shore provides us with a four season playground to do all the things we love to do! There are endless biking, hiking, and ski trails with a waterfall around just about every corner. Every morning we wake up to all the colors of a majestic sunrise over the lake without even having to leave our cozy bed. In addition to the state parks in the area, the Superior Hiking Trail, and the forests and wildlife... there's the wonderful, "Coolest Small Town in America" (voted on by the public and named by the NY Times), Grand Marais just 4 miles away. Grand Marais is a friendly, quaint (yet modern) fishing village that hosts great restaurants, a brew pub, endless venues for local music, a co-op grocery store, the North House Folk School (where you can learn just about any skill or craft imaginable or gather as a community to dance, bake bread or sing around a campfire). There’s a diverse art scene, and the town sits right on the shore of Lake Superior where there’s a beautiful public beach for outdoor concerts, lake gazing or rock skipping - with the light house on "Artist's Point" twinkling in the background.

What makes this property unique

We chose our condo on the shore of Lake Superior first and foremost because of the stunning, panoramic views of Lake Superior! With over 26' of floor to ceiling windows, you have a view of the big lake from the living room, dining area, kitchen and bedroom. The private patio is perfect for coffee in the morning, a good book and lunch in the afternoon, and your beverage of choice at sunset. Terrace Point is a small and quiet community. The design of our condo was influenced by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright who was famous for bringing the outdoors inside and our condo does just that. Designed in a 5-sided pentagon, the Lake Superior ledge rock fireplace is the center point of the living room and dining area. The kitchen boasts of granite counter tops and beautiful cherrywood cabinets. The bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed where you can take in the sun rise upon waking in the morning or view the moon shimmering on the lake at night right outside your window . The large bathroom has a slate, jet-powered shower with room for 2 and a large, cedar sauna to relax in. The heated floors (carpet and stone) keep you cozy no matter what the season. Terrace Point 15B is the perfect place to set down your bags and enjoy Lake Superior out the front door and all of Cooke County, the Boundary Waters and the Gunflint Trail right outside the back door.
