•Guests are renting the entire house, thus having access to all areas of the house. You won't be sharing the house with other guests.
•We use a self check-in method. At the entrance of the house, you'll find a small safe box. Please request your access code the day before your arrival.
•A simple breakfast is included, mainly consisting of regional products. Gluten-free, vegan, or other specific breakfast options are available at an additional cost.
•To book the house for groups of up to 10 people, please contact the owners directly.
•It's possible to have a baby crib placed in the house. In this case, please contact the owner in advance.
•Electric vehicles: Charging electric cars on the property isn't allowed. Please use the public charging stations.
•A washing machine and a dryer are available for guest use. However, detergent isn't provided.
•The house has a fireplace equipped with a heat recovery system that automatically distributes warmth to various rooms in the house. The first bundle of firewood is complimentary; subsequent bundles will be charged.
•The local municipality recently introduced a tourist tax of €2 per person, per night, up to a maximum of 3 consecutive nights (Ordinance No. 853/2025, of May 8). This tax will be charged during your stay.
•Guests can enjoy the backyard, where direct contact with some animals and agricultural crops (depending on the season) is possible.
•Location: Cantinho da Ilha is located in the quiet parish of Achadinha – Nordeste. In this parish, you'll find the pedestrian trail "Terras do Nosso Senhor," highlighting Poço Azul.
•Approximately 2.5 km from the house, you'll find the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park. You can visit it by bike ride, where you'll discover one of the island's most iconic waterfalls.
•This parish also offers access to the highest point of the island – Pico da Vara. This spot provides stunning views of the island's north and south coasts, and you can even spot the neighboring island of Santa Maria. Pico da Vara is the natural habitat of the Azores Bullfinch (priolo), an endemic and protected bird found only in São Miguel. It's undoubtedly a place we recommend including in your itinerary.
