La Vestry è stata costruita appositamente nel 2005 ed è collegata al vecchio vicariato, costruito nel 1854, dove viviamo.

Ci sono grandi giardini con tanto spazio per correre e giocare.

Il nostro villaggio, Roecliffe, è bellissimo e ci sono belle passeggiate e alcuni pub davvero buoni a 20 minuti a piedi. Abbiamo fornito mappe dei percorsi a piedi nel Vestry.

La porta accanto è una chiesa neo normanna con tetto a botte che è curata dal Church Conservation Trust e svolge servizi regolari.
Abbiamo anche delle belle passeggiate con alcune lungo il fiume Ure che corre dietro la nostra proprietà.

Il Vestry è riscaldato a pavimento in tutto il piano inferiore. C'è una cucina separata completamente attrezzata con forno, microonde, piano cottura, lavastoviglie, frigorifero e TV e tavolo da pranzo. L'utility ha un lavandino, lavatrice e asciugatrice e appendiabiti per l'asciugatura.
Vi è un ampio salotto che comprende tre aree, una zona TV, un'area giochi / puzzle e la Garden Room con vista incantevole e un grande tavolo da pranzo.

All'esterno ci sono tre aree per sedersi. Nella parte posteriore il patio ha un tavolo per cenare all'aperto e c'è anche una zona di ghiaia con sedili in rattan per sedersi e godersi il panorama. C'è anche un barbecue. Nel giardino antistante c'è un'altra zona salotto e un grande prato per godersi croquet *, badminton * o calcio, c'è anche un'altalena. (*su richiesta)

The Vestry comprende 3 camere da letto con soffitti alti e un senso dello spazio. La camera da letto principale ha un letto super king con splendide viste sul retro e ha anche uno spogliatoio che può anche essere usato come una culla o zona lavoro. La seconda camera ha due letti singoli e la terza camera ha una singola, entrambe con vista sul davanti. Ogni camera è dotata di asciugacapelli, lenzuola e asciugamani freschi.
Anche il bagno è riscaldato a pavimento e ha una vasca e doccia, con gabinetto e lavandino. (C'è anche un gabinetto al piano di sotto).
Il villaggio è molto tranquillo e siamo a un miglio di distanza dalla vivace città di Boroughbridge con negozi e caffè. L'area ha molte attrazioni come Newby Hall, Ripon Cathedral, Brimham Rocks, Fountain's Abbey, York Minster e Betty's In Harrogate, solo per citarne alcune.

Siamo molto vicini alla A1 per un facile accesso per esplorare altre aree come le vallate e solo un'ora e mezza dal Lake District e un'ora dalla costa.

Wonderful house and garden, pefect for our young family

The house was wonderful, perfect for our family, huge garden with games for the kids, lots of space in the house, lovely conservatory for relaxing in the evenings, lots for the kids to do, dvds, board games, everything you need.

Yorkshire Dales Stay

We had a wonderful time at this property, sightseeing and hiking during the day and relaxing in the wonderful garden room at night. We visited all the local abbey ruins and also toured York and the Yorkshire Dales and visited Haworth, home to the Brontes. The beautiful garden, the sheep fields in the back and the footpath along the river all contributed to the experience.

Beautiful Yorkshire Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this unique, beautiful, spaceous, comfortable home, such an athmospheric sourrounding near the historic church and former vicary. We especially loved the sunroom with serene view, a perfect place to spent meals, read, relax. Wonderful, attentive hosts. Ideal location for exploring the countryside (Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, River Ure), surplus world heritage nearby (Fountains Abbey, York, Durham). All in all highly recommended, extraordinary cottage.

Located on the edge of a small village yet convenient for the A1, York & Harrogate, The Vestry provides opportunities to relax and to enjoy many local tourist hotspots. Close to a small town and a large selection of high-quality eateries, choose between cook-it-yourself and letting someone else do all the hard work. The 3-bed property is very comfortable with a large conservatory and fine views over the Yorkshire countryside, and many games facilities.

Wonderful Family Vacation

It is a wonderful house with enough space for everyone. It is very clean and very well equipped with everything you need. The Vestry is a great place to stay.

A lovely character property in the Vale of York. Plenty of space to relax inside the house, photos in the profile don't do it justice! Clean, well equipped and very nicely presented. The garden is great, Carolyn and Tim provided table tennis, croquet, badminton and footballs to use which went down well with the kids both young and old. There's so much to see in Yorkshire, it was hard to choose, but we enjoyed coast, Dales and city. We had delicious meals out at The Wild Swan and The Hideaway Kitchen. Nearby Boroughbridge has all you need for shopping. We would definitely recommend this beautiful house as a base to explore all Yorkshire has to offer.

Dream family home in charming village perfectly located for Yorkshire tourism

Very comfortable house for family with three children - well equipped, spotless, spacious, silent, charming inside and out (spectacular view of fields of sheep and cows from conservatory). Kids loved the tree swing, chickens on the lawn, fresh eggs and local village walk. Location enabled easy trips to York, Harrogate and Leeds. Food shopping was a pleasure in Boroughbridge, Ripon, Thirsk and Northallerton (Lewis & Cooper is amazing for both quality and international variety). We ate out very well in the local Crown Inn pub (2 minute walk) and neighbouring village pub the Black Swan in Oldstead (voted ’best restaurant in the world’ by Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed!). Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Quiet Village Retreat

Village location, Roecliffe, convenient for A1(M), town of Boroughbridge, and many visitor attractions. The Crown is within walking distance and serves lunchtime and evening, until end of September when it will change to all day. Quality mobile takeaway service Thursday evening is highly recommended.

Fabulous house in a beautiful setting

Beautiful village setting and roomy house with plenty of space for a family of 5 and a huge garden with games. Spotlessly clean and everything top quality, from the appliances in the superbly equipped kitchen to the bedding and large fluffy towels. Everything needed for a holiday was provided, with thoughtful touches such as the welcome pack, dishwasher tablets, even food bags. Well situated to visit many tourist attractions. We loved our stay. Highly recommended.

An excellent property

We had a lovely holiday at this beautiful property, it is so spacious clean and well equipped and set in such a quiet peaceful location. The hosts Carolyn and Tim are so welcoming and helpful with all your needs, their local knowledge is especially useful. As you look around the property you see those little touches that make you feel welcome,i would definitely like to return for another holiday.

Peace and comfort in gorgeous Yorkshire

This property is spacious, clean and warm. It is not over-cluttered with stuff, has deliciously comfortable beds and quality bedding and is in a wonderfully peaceful location. The property has plenty of character and it was easy to relax here. Being next to the owners was great: they were extremely friendly and helpful but they did not invade our privacy at all! We would whole-heartedly recommend this as a fantastic place to stay.

Really lovely property. Very peaceful and in a picturesque village. Huge garden.

We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were friendly and everything you need is there plus lots of games for the garden. If you want somewhere very quiet, this is for you.

A piece of wow in Yorkshire

The grounds were just wonderful, and the owners were fantastic hosts. Outside is an idyllic landscape, the grounds are beautiful, and the house itself is fantastically appointed. If you do come to this delightful little village, be sure you have a car. Highly recommend and will endeavor to come again!

Just beautiful

Perfect accomodation for holidays with the family, many things to do and see within one hour by car! The owners are always there to help , the children have got lots of space to play, in the backyard you have a lovely view from the conservatory.

Wonderful place to stay

The Vestry is a beautiful property in an excellant location. It is quiet and peaceful with views over farmland to the rear and lovely grounds that are very well kept from the front. The house is spacious and very comfortable, very clean and well equipped and Carolyn and Tim are great hosts. There were lots of little touches including fresh eggs and delicious cake. We loved our stay here and really appreciated the comfy beds. We were the first guests to stay since the property was equipped for self catering and would certainly recommend it to others.

We are the 3rd generation to live at the Old Vicarage which is next door to the Vestry. It is a wonderful place to live, but with all old properties it needs a lot of looking after. The Old Vicarage was built in 1856 and The Vestry in 2005. We have a beautiful neo-norman Church next door and stunning views both front and back.

If you want to get a way and relax or have a great place to have quick access to explore North Yorkshire, this is the ideal property. We can supply badminton and table tennis on request. Large garden for kids to run around and play. Babysitting available. Gastro Pubs - 2 min walk. We do not allow pets in the Vestry.

Plenty of room, great views, quiet and very comfortable. Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and also in the upstairs bathroom. Lovely views across the vale. Within walking distance to the local gastro pub. Only 20 min walk to the nearest market town with cafes and shops. Lovely country side walks and along the river. Very large garden to run around and play games.
