idyllic hide away
The house is a charming mixture of an old, entirely renovated stonehouse and a very modern and tasteful interior decoration. This is captured quite well on the photos which do not overpromise. The location of the house is unique lying in between very old olive and fruit trees with a fabulous view - very idyllic and quiet, far away from any major road or village. The house is well equipped with a reliable and good internet connection, the TV has only Greek channels which should be explained in the description. The administrative part of renting the house was quick and reliable.
The island of Andros is worth a longer visit (it was our 2nd visit) as it has very diverse landscapes. We especially enjoyed the long hikes using the old cobblestone paths between the villages (we recommend the new hiking guide of Olga Karayiannis, Hiking in Andros, 2014, which you can purchase online). We recommend the house and the island.
