Our unique houseboat with 3 bedrooms and a large garden is located at a lovely island close to the centre of Amsterdam (12 min by train) and the famous Zaanse Schans! Ideal to enjoy a relaxed holiday and be so close to all the famous attractions!

The space
This unique houseboat is located at a small island near all the famous tourist attractions (such as the Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam city centre). Due to the central location and nearness of a train station, the houseboat is an excellent start to explore the area.

The houseboat is very spacious and bright (6 people can stay here very comfortably), has a very large and sunny garden and a sunny floating terrace (both private).

There is a beautiful nature conservation area close by (at only 2 minutes walking distance, which is also accessible by boat or canoe).

Enjoying your holiday at this houseboat will be a truly unique experience! We are sure that you will be very comfortable and will feel at home when you stay here!

Guest access
The houseboat has a large and sunny living room. It has large windows on either side, which provide a view to the private garden on one side, and the canal on the other.

The spacious and fully equipped kitchen (including a dish washer) adjoins the living room. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is located downstairs (which is below the water level, a unique experience in itself). The second bedroom is located upstairs, and is a bright and comfortable room with a view on the canal. The third bedroom has a lovely view at the garden, and a door which leads to the floating terrace. There are 2 double beds and 2 single beds present. If needed, a third single bed can be arranged for (if so, please contact me before you make your reservation).

You can enjoy a private bathroom with a luxurious shower (steam bath, water jets, etc.). There is also a separate toilet.

There are a washing and drying machine available.
A large TV (42 inch) and free WIFI are available.

Interaction with guests
We truly believe staying at our houseboat will be a unique experience! We are very happy to explain to you the nicest places to go to, and help you on your way. We want to make your stay a lovely experience. We are sure you will feel at home, and if there are any requests, feel free to ask.

We have bikes which can be used at a compensation of 10 euros per bike for your total stay.
We have two canoes and a small boat, which can be used at a compensation of 10 euros for your total stay each.

Bikes, canoes and the boat can be arranged at arrival.

Wonderful!

Our family stayed at Anouk's lovely houseboat during a recent trip to the Netherlands to visit family. The boat is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The location is very accessible to the train and to amenities in Zaandam. No matter how busy the day, the beauty and comfort of the houseboat always made for a relaxing return. Highly recommend!

Family holiday in a houseboat

We enjoyed our stay in this cosy houseboat with its nice garden, boat and bicycles. There is a very helpful folder with recommendations for cafés/restaurants as well as suggestions for sightseeing tours close-by etc. Communication with Anouk was very easy. I can highly recommend this little juwel of a houseboat.

Perfect Vacation!!

The houseboat was such a treat! We loved the views from the living room of the canal and garden with lots of wildlife! The floating patio was fun and we enjoyed taking the little electric boat out to the nature preserve for gorgeous sunsets and windmills!! It was a struggle to ride the bikes to Amsterdam, but we are glad we did! Our host was wonderful!! Highly recommend!!

A peaceful, well equipped stay

The house boat is quirky and located in a quiet neighbourhood. We were surprised how far from central Amsterdam we found ourselves to be. We had to spend a lot of time travelling back and forth into Amsterdam. We could not find a microwave, which was a surprising omission. Some of the information in the welcome pack in the houseboat needs updating. The recommendation for the de Toog restaurant was fantastic and we ate there twice - enjoying excellent and reasonably priced meals.

Idyllic getaway close to Amsterdam!!

From start to finish, we loved this property and location. It is beautiful as shown in pictures with a lovely yard on one side and delightful canal on the other. Anouk is a dream to work with and so considerate and responsive. We enjoyed the bikes and and the electric boat. The entire experience was relaxing and unique. We will be back!!!

A lovely and unique experience

It’s impossible to overstate what a wonderful and unique property this is, it felt like a once in a lifetime experience! The docked boat on the canal was an added bonus for drinks and views! If you are arriving by taxi I would recommend directing them to the nearby parking lot as ours had some trouble, but directing subsequent drivers to the parking lot was extremely easy. (Tip: use Bolt instead of Uber) Anouk is an absolutely wonderful host - responsive and left extremely detailed instructions. I highly recommend taking one of the bikes to the nearby windmills. Our only regret it that we couldn’t stay longer! Pictures do not do the location or property justice. Thank you Anouk for an unforgettable stay! ❤️

Ladies on late birthday tour

Beautiful,and exactly as stated in the information on Vrbo. Our host Anouk was always available ,and so helpful with anything we wanted to organise . Would highly recommend using the bikes to visit the surrounding area which is lovely.

Very nice, a bit out of the city

Very nice houseboat. Well kept. Nice garden for sitting in. Very quiet area. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station (directions to find the houseboat we’re excellent). Very responsIve to questions. Having the bikes was perfect to visit Zaanse Schanse. If you plan to spend all your time in Amsterdam be aware of the train schedule being twice an hour on weekends.

Me and my son

My son and I stayed at Anook's houseboat for four days in May 2022. We had been staying in a loft in the heart of London for the previous four days and wanted something completely different. The houseboat was in the ideal location for touring and so peaceful to come home to in the evening. I can honestly say Anook had the best information folder of anywhere we have ever stayed. From running the dishwasher to directions to the nearest grocery shop. When you don't speak the language even operating the washing machine is difficult. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the beautiful houseboat.

Idyll vor den Toren der Metropole

Hausboot und Garten sind wunderschön, größer als wir dachten und toll ausgestattet. Man ist schnell in Amsterdam oder am Strand, aber noch schöner ist es eigentlich, vor Ort die Zeit zu vertrödeln oder ein Ründchen mit dem Elektroboot zu drehen. Vielleicht ist es für den ein oder anderen nützlich, vorab zu wissen, dass das Hausboot recht hellhörig ist. Uns hat es nicht gestört.

Wundervolle Oase

Dieses Hausboot ist wundervoll. Es ist top ausgerüstet, hat viele Extras (Kanus, Elektroboot, Fahrräder, Grill, ...) und liegt optimal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung oder nach Amsterdam (in 20 Minuten mit dem Zug). Eine richtige Oase mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann. Wir wurden zudem durch Anouk bestens betreut und das Infomaterial im Hauboot lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren mit dem Auto angereist, brauchten dieses aber die ganze Woche nicht, da alles zu Fuss, mit dem Fahrrad oder mit dem Zug erreichbar war.

Tolles Hausboot

Ideale Lage für Ausflüge sowohl nach Amsterdam als auch an die Küste. Wunderschönes sauberes großes Hausboot mit Garten, in dem alles vorhanden war (Spülmittel, Handseife, Klopapier, Zewas, Alufolie...). Die Nutzung der Fahrräder war praktisch für die Erkundung der näheren Umgebung. Begrüßung mit Wein, Stroopwaffeln und frischen Blumen auf dem Tisch ! Sehr unkomplizierte nette und hilfreiche Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin. DANKE!!!

So relaxing

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was a nice peaceful place to stay after the hustle of Amsterdam. The location was a short walk from the station which was easy to navigate. Would love to come back.

Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr charmant. Die Lage abseits vom Trubel Amsterdams war wohltuend. Die Verkehrsanbindung in die Stadt ist sehr gut. Ich würde es jedereit wieder buchen.

Boathouse

Absolutely loved this property and location. Although not right in Amsterdam, it was easy to access by train. The property is in a beautiful setting and the owner was very helpful. We are a family of 5, including two 16 year old's and a 21 year old. We had plenty of room. The property was well maintained and a true pleasure to stay at. Thank you for a great time.

Wunderbare Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen mit ganz besonderem Fl air.

Das Hausboot liegt sehr idyllisch etwas abseits von Amsterdam, ist mit der Bahn aber superschnell zu erreichen. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr geräumig mit 3 individuellen Schlafzimmern und einem großen hellen Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche. Auf der Kanalseite kann man das Boots-Feeling genießen, auf der anderen Seite wiederum den wundervollen großen Garten mit Grillmöglichkeit. Im Schuppen stehen Fahrräder zur Verfügung, die man günstig mieten kann. Sie sind etwas niedrig für große Leute, aber sehr gut in Schuss. Wir hatten mit 6 Personen viel Platz und haben den Kurzurlaub sehr genossen. Anouk ist sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

Das Hausboot war sehr sauber und hat eine tolle Lage

Das Hausboot ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles vorhanden was man gebraucht hat.Es ist Platz für 6 Personen. Es gibt 1 Badezimmer u. 1Toilette,die aber getrennt sind. Der Fussweg zur Bahn dauert ca. 15 Min. und mit dem Zug ist man schnell in Amsterdam Centraal. Die Lage ist sehr schön. Man kann bei schönem Wetter auch grillen, es ist alles vorhanden.Die Vermieterin Anouk war auch sehr lieb, und bei Problemen hätten wir sie jederzeit anrufen können. Also wir können das Hausboot nur weiterempfehlen denn wir haben hier schöne Tage verbracht.
