Wonderful Stay in Espinho

Casa da Mata was one of 3 stops on our 2 week exploration of Portugal. We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect - sooooo much space for our family of four. We had everything we needed to feel right at home from a washer for our clothes, a big kitchen to cook meals, and a back patio to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! We loved having our own private parking space. In terms of location within Espinho, the house is only a block from the beach and a short walk to the main area of town. There are tons of restaurants nearby and all the other conveniences you might need. We loved waking up each morning and smelling the grilling that the local restaurants were doing to get ready for lunch and dinner. It smelled so good! Larger grocery stores are just a short drive or about a 15 minute walk. The train station is also a short walk and we took it a few times to go to Porto. I hope to come back to Espinho and if I do, I'll definitely return to Casa da Mata. Thank you Joana and family for your wonderful hospitality and the delicious sweets.

L'espace dont dispose la maison et son emplacement dépassent les recherches, les images et la description de l'annonce. C'est le feedback que nous recevons depuis 2017. C'était la première fois que nous avions une évaluation négative de la maison. Nous regrettons que vous ayez eu du mauvais temps les jours où vous étiez à Espinho et que nous n'ayons pas répondu à vos attentes en termes de remboursement financier. Lamentamos a vossa experiência e a classificação mínima que nos deram. A crítica com que fundamentam a vossa classificação é precisamente um dos pontos mais fortes da nossa casa. O espaço que a casa tem e sua localização supera as pesquisas,w imagens e a descrição do anúncio. Tem sido esse o feedback que temos recebido desde 2017. Foi a primeira vez que tivemos uma avaliação negativa da casa. Lamentamos que tenham tido mau tempo nos dias em que estiveram em Espinho e que não tenhamos ido ao encontro das vossas expectativas num reembolso financeiro. We are sorry about your experience and the low rating you gave us. The criticism with which you base your classification is precisely one of the strongest points of our house. The space that the house has and its location surpasses the searches, images and the ad description. This has been the feedback we have received since 2017. It was the first time we had a negative evaluation of the house. We regret that you had bad weather on the days you were in Espinho and that we did not meet your expectations in terms of financial reimbursement.

Schönes Strandhaus

Joana und Pedro sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Als es ein Problem mit dem Schloss gab, haben sie dieses innerhalb kürzester Zeit gelöst. Das Haus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist in direkter Nähe zum Strand und zum Ortskern gelegen. Als einziges Manko wäre die Sauberkeit des Hauses zu nennen. Da die Bewertungen in diesem Bereich sonst immer top sind, könnten wir uns vorstellen, dass es da vielleicht ein Problem mit der Reinigungskraft gab. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden und können das Haus sehr empfehlen!

Schönes Haus mit Garten und Autostellplatz in sehr guter Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten, Grill und Autostellplatz ist sehr schön und praktisch. Das Haus ist nur 100 m vom Strand entfernt. Die Ausstattung bietet alles für einen Familienurlaub. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, außer Geschirrspülmaschine. Eine Waschmaschine ist auch vorhanden. WLAN ist vorhanden, aber nicht sehr weitreichend.

Super maison !!!

Super séjour dans cette belle maison spacieuse !!! Nous étions 2 couples et 2 enfants et personne ne s’est marché dessus !!! La maison se situe vraiment à 200 mètres de là plage à pied , près d’un petit restaurant typique du Portugal où on se régale !!! Nous avons passé de super vacances , et l’hôte nous a accueilli avec de bon petits gâteaux locaux , elle était super accueillante , sympathique et arrangeante !!! Côté équipement rien ne manque tout était au rendez-vous !!! Rien à dire pour ce logement si ce n’est bonne vacances à ceux qui prendront cette adresse !!! Ne surtout pas hésiter !!!

Toller Urlaub in Espinho

Das kleine Häuschen hat uns sehr gefallen, es liegt direkt am Strand, es sind ca 100 m. Joana war ganz lieb, hat alles genau erklärt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, es ist auch eine Waschmaschine vorhanden. Der Bahnhof liegt ca 10 Minuten entfernt... Rund herum gibt es viele kleine Restaurants. Wir haben und sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Casa da mata sehr genossen, das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was zu einem gelungenen Ferienhausaufenthalt gehört. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ausreichend groß und sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Die Lage des Hauses fast direkt am Meer ist wunderbar, ebenso die vielen Restaurants in der Nähe. Der Empfang durch die Hauseigentümer war sehr herzlich und wir bekamen eine ausführliche Einweisung. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden dieses Haus jederzeit wieder buchen!

Accueil très chaleureux de Joana et Pedro. Nous avions une belle maison, rénové avec goût, nous n'avons manqué de rien. La maison est proche de la gare, il est aisé de se déplacer dans les villes alentour. La plage est au bout de la rue, les vagues et la température de l'eau ne permettent pas de baignades mais de beaux spots pour les surfeur. Merci encore à Joana qui a été très arrangeante et sympathique. Bonne continuation.

Great to stay with kids

Our vacation in Espinho was awesome and big part of this good experience was the house. It's fresh inside while it's hot outside, it's quite spacious with enough room for kids to play and run. It's well equipped but still child-friendly. Kitchen allows to prepare meals at home, it has everything you need even oven and microwave. And Nespresso coffee machine! Another great feature - the yard. You can park your car, grill the fish and have your meals outside, the kids have room to run and play. We've stayed with 3 active kids, so we really appreciated it. The location of the house is great - beach is 3 min away, you can literally see the ocean from your doorstep. Plenty of restaurants of different price and quality are nearby, but not too close so you are not bothered by the noise. Disclaimer - the restaurant next-door worked only 2 evenings so it might be different during high season. We had no problems sleeping even with the full restaurant next door. And finally the best part - the hosts. Super helpful and forthcoming, they answer all the questions and does everything for you to have the best vacation time possible. We arrived very late because of our nocturnal flight and were lost in Espinho due to google maps glitch (it worked just fine later). Pedro came to meet us in the middle of nowhere and guided us to the place. He also offered advice about shops, activities, trips, left a book about Porto that we've used. We felt very welcome! I recommend the house and Pedro and Joana as superhost. I think we will return here:)

Great

Cozy little house near the beach with all the necessary amenities and awesome hosts. Espinho is a particular little laid-back beach town with strong winds (gets cold at night) and awesome beaches. Great for families who need a quiet base to explore Porto.
