Tranquil cottage in Cotswolds with tennis court

Stable Cottage is a beautiful cottage in the Cotswolds. Situated between the market towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury, and only 10 minutes from such famous Cotswold attractions as Westonbirt, Highgrove and Badminton. The Cotswolds are famous for their idyllic English countryside and villages. For foodies there are great gastro pubs nearby. Free wifi, pet friendly, easy access from Heathrow, and a warm welcome. Longer term lets from Kensington Property Management.

This stylish cottage is situated within the grounds of a country house and offers a rural retreat for those wanting to escape to the Cotswolds. The property is immaculately presented and has stunning views over the river valley. The property is located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with plenty of nearby footpaths and bridleways, it is an ideal base for walking or cycling, and for exploring the local area.

The historic town of Malmesbury is just one mile away, and picturesque Tetbury is four miles away and offers a delightful selection of antique shops, delicatessens and restaurants. Cirencester is just 10 miles away, and the Roman city of Bath is also easily accessible. Nearby attractions include Westonbirt Arboretum, Berkeley Castle, Highgrove and The Cotswold Water Park, which offers a range of watersports and other activities. Well-known local events include the Tetbury Woolsack Race, Gatcombe and Badminton Horse Trials. There are also regular events at the Beaufort Polo Club and Westonbirt Arboretum.

The accommodation offers two bedrooms - a double with an en-suite bathroom, and a twin bedroom with an adjacent shower room. The open-plan kitchen and living room is well equipped with an electric oven, microwave dishwasher and fridge. There is a separate entrance hall, and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. There is a private terrace and lawn outside, that overlooks the river valley, and a tennis court and table tennis room that can be used with prior arrangement. Off-road parking for two cars, fine cotton linen and towels provided, underfloor heating and free Wifi included. Regret no smoking. Dogs welcome. Location: shop one mile away, a choice of local pubs in nearby villages.

Our TEAM are on hand MONDAY to FRIDAY, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Outside of working hours they will only be available to deal with EMERGENCIES.
Check in is 3pm, until 9pm. Check out is 11am. Our office closes at 9pm on the dot! We are NOT CONTACTABLE after that hour as we need our beauty sleep
Failing to return keys to the instructed place will result in a fee of £45. Losing a set of KEYS will result in an £90 charge to get them replaced.

Amazing stay. Absolutely peace and quiet and the cottage is great.perfect location to visit the Cotswolds (with kids & dogs or without!). We love our evenings eating outdoors and taking in nature. And going bunny spotting at sunset. We will sure be back and really recommend it.Tom and his family were very helpful when we had queries or needed any anything. See you soon!

Perfect place for secluded stay!

We loved our stay here! My kids had the best time walking the property and seeing the animals. The property is very secluded and private. We all loved the peace and quiet and the town of Malmsbury was wonderful.

Fantastic property!

We were so impressed with this property, it was really homely and comfortable and was in a lovely peaceful location. We all felt very relaxed there. Tom was on hand to help with any questions or queries we had and was really helpful about the local area. We would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxed. We would definitely stay there again.

Pretty Country Cottage

We had a lovely few days at Stable Cottage. Situated in a pretty, quiet country location, close to Malmesbury and Tetbury. Worth a visit. The cottage was comfy and well equipped. We will be booking again.

Stunning cottage with the most amazing views, we can't wait to return

What an incredibly luxurious contemporary cottage, we absolutely loved our time there. The owners couldn't have been more communicative on the run up to our stay and on hand should we need anything throughout. Stunning kitchen with fab views and the most comfiest of beds. Having two bathrooms was luxurious, we really couldn't fault the cottage in any way. We can't wait to return next year and would highly recommend this to anyone.

Comfort in the Cotswold countryside

Very pleasant and comfortable 2 bedroom cottage in the heart of the southern Cotswolds. Tom and Katie, could not have been more gracious and helpful hosts. The cottage fulfilled our needs perfectly and gave us the opportunity to enjoy life in the countryside while still providing good access the the charming towns around.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely time at Stable Cottage. Booking was straightforward and Hugo sent us useful information in advance. The cottage is in a secluded area with great views of the countryside. The owners were friendly and polite but never intrusive which was ideal for us. We visited Westonbirt Arboretum which was great, we walked 14km but easy to do shorter walks if you like. Lunch was easy there with covered outdoor seating. We also did an 11km walk around Tetbury which was fun. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed all the walking and bike riding we did in the local area. The cottage was exactly as described, clean and well equipped. We would recommend it to anyone.

Great location for a quiet country break

Myself, my wife and our two dogs stayed at Stable Cottage over Christmas 2022. It’s a perfect location for a quiet break with beautiful countryside on your doorstep. Malmesbury is just down the road and a pretty little town with all the amenities you need and some good pubs. Hugo was a good host and the property itself is comfortable and well stocked with the basics - toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, iron and board, etc. Also a washing machine which came in very handy with the terrible weather. A couple of things which could be improved, such as the sink coming away from the wall in the main bathroom and the toaster sets off the smoke alarm, so maybe a new one is in order? Overall very happy with our stay and would book again.

Excellent property and location

Everything went smoothly regarding the renting of this very nice property, the owners were friendly and helpful, the only problem we had was a very hot shower which the owners had mentioned to us on arrival and they are getting a Plummer in the next few days, we’ve one suggestion which is an observation not a complaint and that is add some bird feeders in the wooded area outside to attract the wildlife even more.

Comfortable cottage close to Malmesbury

Well equipped and comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights for the Westonbirt Forest Live Concerts, and it was just a short drive away. Malmesbury worth a visit too.

Lovely stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage. It is a cosy welcoming and well appointed cottage in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were great and very helpful. Great location for nearby Malmesbury and other towns and villages.

A week's stay with a 3 year old

We had a great time staying at this lovely cottage. It is definitely one of the cleanest properties we have stayed at. We loved the open plan living downstairs and this really helped us as we had our 3 year old with us. They even had a few toys and books for her to play with which was nice. We really like the fact that the property had a washing machine and dryer as this meant we didn't have to take back dirty laundry with us and meant we could pack lightly and re-use our clothes. The views from the cottage are gorgeous and we really felt relaxed. The cottage itself felt very cosy. We ordered Hello Fresh meals to the cottage for our dinners and it was super easy to cook as the kitchen was well equipped. There is a Waitrose and Coop nearby which was very handy as we were able to stock up the fridge with groceries as soon as we arrived. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

An excellent stay

Stable Cottage is a great find. The accommodation was exactly like the photos, if not better, with plenty of room for 2 adults and a crawling baby and very clean and well equipped. A lovely rural location but with easy access to local towns. Have recommended to friends already.

Beautiful property

Myself and another student stayed at this property for a month whilst completing a placement. Our stay was extremely comfortable. The house equipment facilitated any needs we had during this long stay. We felt very welcome!
