Casa de pueblo Elia (casa de piedra tradicional con vista)

Elia Village House es una casa tradicional de Creta, un ejemplo típico de la arquitectura local del siglo XVIII. Es el tipo de casa de piedra de Creta que fue el tipo de hogar más extendido en todo Creta.
El área principal de la casa está separada de un arco, y en los lados crea cuatro espacios que tienen autonomía funcional sin destruir la unidad del espacio. Hoy en esos espacios, se encuentran la cocina, el comedor y la sala de estar. En el edificio principal de la casa se agregó otro edificio, que se comunica internamente con dos puertas de arco. Ese espacio utilizado como almacén para almacenar diversos utensilios y ollas del hogar.
Hoy en día, está el dormitorio principal de la casa, el inodoro, donde se puede ver una parte de la roca, sobre la cual se construye la casa y la escalera que conduce al dormitorio con piso de madera ya la terraza.
Desde aquí la vista, los colores y la sensación de la naturaleza son únicos.
Elia Village House House es ideal para relajarse, explorar y conocer mejor el campo de Creta. Disfrútala.

the house was very well stocked with food (including fresh fruit for our stay)and plenty of amenities. comfortable beds. beautiful view of the valley and ocean below from the spacious patio. very nice small ruins are about a15 minute walk and impressive. the location is very peaceful and quiet. the house is very comfortable.

Hidden Gem

This property is the most AMAZING place I have ever stayed!! The house is the cutest place! There is a cafe that Sophie runs, and every breakfast was spectacular. Then there is a tavern just a few steps away from upstairs patio, the food and the view cannot be best! EIRINI was the best host I have ever had the pleasure to stay with! I would go back here 100 times!! Do yourself a favor and book Elia!! THE VERY BEST!!

very nice house and well-equipped. You can easily live here the year round. There are three modern air-conditioning units, functioning well.The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. Only the shower is somewhat inconvenient. Also the accessibilty of the house for older seniors from the parking area is a serious obstacle when it is hot.

The house is in a quiet mountain village with wonderful views all around of mountains and the sea. The host met us very kindly late at night after we had a long drive from the airport, showing us the house etc. Food and drinks were left for us in the fridge, also other items for living there which was very kind and welcome to start our holiday. House is lovely and comfortable, just the shower is a little difficult to live with as it's open to the small bathroom. Also to note, one of the reasons we booked the house was it's proximity to a taverna within walking distance, as the village is quite remote. It's closed. This means a car drive to eat out. Otherwise it's a lovely peaceful place to relax and enjoy the landscape in a super house

Away from the Madding Crowd

Elia is a beautiful old property with all mod cons in a stunning location. We stayed six nights and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay here. The house is beautifully styled and the view from the upstairs deck is stunning. Eirini was so generous with providing general food provisions including butter, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, ham, beer, fresh fruit, etc. plus all the other basics even washing powder for washing machine. The location is perfect, there is a lovely taverna only 50m away which serves the best food but is a very quiet taverna and you are not bothered by noise at all even being that close. It is so nice each day after returning from the busy touristy locations to return to the quiet and peaceful haven of the village. A short walk away from the house is the Minoan site of Chalasmenos which is certainly worth a visit. Thanks Eirini for a fantastic stay, we loved your house!

Peaceful mountain getaway

Charming, tranquil cottage in a small mountain village. Lovely daytime views of the Aegean Sea to the north across the valley below, but our favorite view was at night, looking straight up at the stars and the clearly visible Milky Way. Excellent taverna just a few steps away, though unfortunately the café mentioned by others has closed. You will find the refrigerator extremely well-stocked. Three good air conditioning units to keep things cool on hot summer days. If you're a cat lover you're in luck, as there are many of them wandering around outside and quite a few are friendly. The shower area is a bit small, so if you are a large person you might have a tight squeeze, but aside from that it's hard to find any problems with this delightful place.

Belle maison en pierre à flanc de montagne avec la mer à l’horizon

Cette maison nous a tellement plu voici trois ans que nous avons voulu y séjourner pour un retour en Crête. Elle se trouve dans un petit village ancien à flanc de montagne, à 10 mn de la côte avec ses restaurants, en particulier Porto Kanaki, aux plats variés et à l’accueil chaleureux, et de la route vers Agios Nicolaos d’un côté, vers Sitia de l’autre. Depuis la maison on a une vue réjouissante sur une plaine d’oliviers et sur la mer, et, au-delà, sur Agios Nicolaos. La maison est calme, reposante, juste animée par quelques chats amicaux du voisinage. C’est une maison de pierre, avec une arche en plein cintre à l’intérieur, restaurée et décorée avec goût, dont plusieurs gravures sur métal. Elle dispose de tout le confort moderne souhaité, et de tout le nécessaire pour la vie ordinaire. Eirini nous a accueillis chaleureusement, nous laissant des fruits et d’autres aliments, comme pour des amis.

Schönes Steinhaus in einem kleinen Dorf

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenzhalt. Eirini war zur Ankunft bereits da und hat uns sehr nett empfangen und uns das Haus gezeigt. Alles war sehr sauber und sogar der Kühlschrank war gefüllt. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit.

Herrlicher Urlaubsort

Gut restauriertes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, alles Nötige ist vorhanden. Idealer Ort, um aktiven Kreta-Urlaub zu machen: nicht weit weg zu einigen spektakulären Schluchten und herrlichen einsamen Stränden. Tolle Taverne 25m entfernt. Toller Blick in die weite Landschaft inklusive Meer, Abendsonne. Achtung: morgens erst ab 10:30 Sonne. Viele wilde Katzen, die einem das Essen auf der Terrasse streitig machen wollen.

Schöne Unterkunft in absolut ruhiger Gegend

Elia Village ist ein altes, schön hergerichtetes Steinhaus auf zwei Etagen in absolut ruhiger Gegend. Für zwei Erwachsene gut geeignet. Mit vier Erwachsenen dürfte es etwas eng werden. Vorteile sind die ruhige Gegend, der schöne Blick auf die Bucht von Pachoa Ammos und der ursprüngliche Charme der Villa. Küche und Wohnräume sind im Wesentlichen gut ausgestattet und eingerichtet. Die Betten und Matrazen im Erdgeschoss müssten erneuert werden. Die Dusche ist sehr klein. Es fehlt eine Spülmaschine.

Tolles sehr komplett ausgestattetes Haus mit Terasse und außergewöhnlichem Blick.

Ein sehr warmherziger Empfang durch die Vermieterin mit einer umfangreicheb Einweisung in die Besonderheiten des Haus hat uns begrüßt. Der gefüllte Kühlschrank für die ersten Tage mit regionalen Produkten sehr beeindruckt. Vielen Dank für alles wir haben eine schöne Zeit zu Weihnachten und dem Jahreswechsel verlebt.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Dorfhaus ist genauso wie abgebildet bzw. beschrieben. Ein kleines Dorf in ruhiger Lage mit super schönen Ausblick, von der Terrasse, auf die Bucht von Pachia Ammos. Eireni hat uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und uns alles im Haus gezeigt. Der Kühlschrank war bereits mit allem für das erste Frühstück gefüllt. 2 Tavernen befinden sich direkt im Ort. Wir konnten leider nur eine Taverne besuchen, aber der Besuch hat sich gelohnt! Toller Service und fantastisches Essen. Die zweite Taverne befand sich bereits in der Winterpause. Uns hat es dort sehr gefallen.

Amazing home in a traditional village!

A short drive up from the highway brings you to the traditional village of Monastiraki, right beside the spectacular Gorge of Ha. It’s an amazing location and Eirini’s home is absolutely stunning. This beautifully restored stone house is comfortable and you’re immediately aware that you’re staying somewhere special. The roof deck provides a view all the way out to the sea and the interior has beautiful and unique artwork in every room. The kitchen was fully stocked and Eirini was always available to take our calls. She was so helpful in providing suggestions on places to visit. Definitely worth the short drive to Koutsounari Long Beach for a swim and a visit to Alatsi Taverna, which has the truly delicious food and is on the most beautiful beach on Crete.

Ein Traum

Die Lage, der traumhafte Blick, direkt vom Haus aus wandern zu können, zwei Tavernen vor der Tür und trotzdem weit weg vom Trubel, all das hat unseren Urlaub zu einem sehr besonderen gemacht. Die Vermieterin war sehr hilfsbereit und der Kühlschrank bei Anreise gut gefüllt, wir sollten uns für drei Wochen wie Zuhause fühlen. Vielen Dank dafür.

Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Besonders die Lage am Hang mit dem Blick auf die Bucht ist sehr schön. Von der Hausherrin wurden wir sehr nett - und mit einem vollen Kühlschrank empfangen.

Très satisfait de cette location.

Accueil très sympathique d'Eirini qui malgré sont emploi du temps serré nous à fait la visite de la maison et de tout ce dont nous aurions besoin. Belle ancienne maison climatisée, dans un village plutôt tranquille avec, à deux pas, deux restaurants et un bar. Sur la terrasse, beau point de vue avec table et chaises pour manger et se détendre sur des chaises longues. Coté équipement rien à dire c'est parfait, sans même parler du frigidaire rempli de fruits, bières, vin... Capsule pour café, sucre, chocolat, brioche pour le petit déjeuné... Un vrai bonheur de ne pas se presser à faire des courses des le jour d'arrivée. Merci Eirini nous avons passé une excellente semaine.

Wonderfull

the house is spacious and beautifully decorated. It is located in a very pretty mountain village and has a terrace with a view of the whole valley and the sea. Next to the house, a tavern and a typical bar. an excellent place to visit eastern Crete which has remained protected from mass tourism. We had a dream vacation there. And to top it off, Eirini is incredibly kind and hospitable.

A tiny bit of Heaven

Well, where should I start: It was exquisite - absolutely what we were looking for. We stayed in many places in many countries but this place was by far the most memorable. It is simple - but that is the charm. I even can't say it was the perfect imperfection - because there was no imperfection for us. The view of the roof terrace was to die for. The house very well and tastefully appointed. The fridge - as many others pointed out - stocked to the max. The Wifi was working very well too. We actually decided on the location because of the house. The village is very small (maybe 10 houses) and there are 2 Tavernas. I was told the best around and we tried both. Real Cretan food. It was all we wished for - authentic and delicious. It is a very quiet place with very friendly people. We LOVED it and would stay there again in a heart beat. Many thanks to Eirini! She is a wonderful host.

Traumhaft

Ich kann mich nur den Bewertungen der Vormieter anschliessen : das Haus ist ein Traum und Irene und Eleni haben uns super umsorgt. Das Haus liegt mitten im kleinen Ort Monastiraki. Parkplätze gibt es an der oberen Strasse oder an der unteren. Zwei Tavernen liegen in direkter Nachbarschaft. Beide sind sehr empfehlenswert. Allein der Blick von der Terrasse zum kretischen Meer ist herrlich. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Ierapetra. Die Strände im Süden sind deutlich sauberer als im Norden. Wir waren im Mai da, im Hochsommer braucht man im oberen Stockwerk die Klimaanlage wahrscheinlich rund um die Uhr. Die Dusche ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, klein und in den Fels gebaut. Aber alles kein Problem. Die Vorzüge überwiegen.

Frühling auf Kreta

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit Atmosphäre. Das Check-Inn war unkompliziert, alles war bestens vorbereitet. Danke noch einmal für den großzügig gefüllten Kühlschrank und das leckere Obst! Leider war es in unserer Zeit sehr windig, sodass die große Terasse nicht immer von uns genutzt werden konnte. Für Gäste, denen richtig getrennte und abschliessbare Räume wichtig sind, dürfte die offene Struktur des Hauses nicht geeignet sein, sie macht aber auch den Charme des Hauses aus. Bei einem medizinische Problem hat Irene sofort für uns den Kontakt zu einer Ärztin hergestellt, was sehr hilfreich war. Für das Kochen wäre ein großes Brett i der Küche schön, ansonsten hat uns NICHTS gefehlt ! Wir haben uns in Irenes Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Gertrud und Birgit
