Monastiraki is a tiny settlement with only a handful of residents, but its position makes it a wonderful holiday location. Set among olive groves, the well appointed villa is an ideal relaxing base for any type of holiday. Private pool is set next to a shaded dining area with outdoor kitchen equipped with gas BBQ gas ring wood/charcoal grill and outdoor fridge and sink. The pergola provides an area where one can subath without being overlooked. The beaches, shops and tavernas are just a short drive away. We are an English couple from Norfolk. We like spending time in the sun and a little away from the beaten track. Minoan Villa is just perfect for this.

Why they chose this property

We bought the villa as the perfect get away for quiet relaxation. The villa is a perfect base for exploring eastern Crete. We came across it by accident and fell in love with it.

What makes this property unique

Minoan Villa sits on the edge of a traditional Cretan village, surrounded by olive groves and mountains, with panoramic views stretching towards the sea. It’s the perfect base from which to discover the authentic eastern end of Crete. Within easy reach are welcoming village tavernas, secluded beaches, bustling harbour towns and some of the island’s most beautiful scenery.

This is a place to slow down. Wake to birdsong, spend your days exploring mountain roads, swimming in crystal-clear bays or lingering over long Cretan lunches, then return to the villa to enjoy the evening breeze and spectacular sunsets.

If you’re looking for nightlife on your doorstep, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for peace, authenticity and one of the most beautiful and unspoilt corners of Crete, we think you’ll feel very much at home.
