This lovely villa/apartment sits right above the swimming pool and has a patio overlooking the mountains and castle of Michelangelo. If you love the sun this is the one for you. It has a huge wet room shower, super king size bed in the bedroom & kitchen and living room. Enjoy a drink at our unique bar which is in a vintage American school bus.
This delightful villa/apartment is situated in a beautiful Tuscan resort containing five exclusive villas which stands in the heart of Tuscany overlooking the village of Caprese Michelangelo and is set in 100 acres of the most beautiful mountain forests. The relaxing, heated salt water pool complete with Roman steps, sits in a peaceful olive grove with a breath-taking view through the mountains to the fairytale-esque Castle of Michelangelo.
The tranquil position, frequently described as 'paradise on earth' contains an abundance of wildlife where the birds sing at night and the fireflies provide a moving display of sparkling light. In years gone by, the villa was owned by the Vatican and was used to house monks.

Fabulous home with gorgeous views

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home and Freyja could not do enough for us. Everything she reccommended and booked us was marvelous, already arranging snother visit, this time with the whole family.

Excellent in all ways!

We fully enjoyed our stay! Freyja and Malcolm are SO helpful, full of great ideas, and really know the history of the area. The proximity to Caprese Michaelangelo (Michaelangelo's birthplace and museum) and La Verna Sanctuary made it even better. Great communication leading up to and during our stay. Helpful hints, offers for dinner reservations, and the like made us feel like good friends visiting! Highly recommended. We just loved this part of Tuscany, especially the beautiful hills (mountains).

Beautiful stay in Tuscany

We had 4 wonderful days at Caprese Michelangelo. Freyja was a wonderful host and made many helpful suggestions regarding our travel agenda. She helped with dinner reservations as well as explaining many options to experience and explore. I highly recommend the Old Olive Mill tour. The location made it easy to visit many interesting sights and cities. The views from our patio were amazing. The welcome basket was so thoughtful. I would highly recommend staying at Caprese Michelangelo, you won;t be disapointed.

Beautiful escape to the country

My husband and I had the most incredible time at Villa Michelangelo! Our host Frejya was so helpful and kind. We had lost our luggage and she helped us out tremendously. She also arranged some amazing excursions including a tour of an olive oil farm and tasting as well as a wine tasting in Cortona. The property was breathtakingly beautiful. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Remote property

This was a difficult property to find, in a remote area, the host did leave a basket of breakfast goodies and a bottle of wine which was nice. The room did not have air conditioning or a TV, also you couldn’t leave the door open or you would encounter many flies in your room, I screen door would have been helpful to increase air circulation, especially at night as the room got very warm. Freya was a very nice host, I just feel the property wasn’t for us.

It was a pleasure to meet you both. I did send you the google map link twice and it would have been much easier to arrive if you had used it. We are 3km from town and on a main road so it’s certainly not remote. If you come to Tuscany in the summer months there will be insects and I did explain before you came that we do not use air conditioning as it’s a historic building and would not be appropriate or allowed to put air conditioning. The walls are so thick it keeps the building cool. Thank you for visiting us.

Das Apartement bietet alles, was für einen erholsamen Urlaub notwendig ist. Falls etwas fehlt, sorgt die (englische) Vermieterin, die selbst in der Anlage wohnt und jederzeit über WhatsApp erreichbar ist, umgehend und sehr freundlich für Abhilfe. Sie bietet auch zahlreiche Vorschläge für Ausflüge, Wanderungen und Restaurants (keine Touristenlokale, sondern sehr authentische Restaurants), in denen sie auch für einen reserviert). Hervorzuheben sind außerdem der schöne Pool, die Qualität des Leitungswassers (nur ganz wenig gechlort) und nochmal die absolut ruhige Lage (auf - nach Auskunft der Vermieterin - ca. 600m Höhe) in schönster Natur. Auch bei Temperaturen von über 30°C kühlt es sich nachts auf erholsame (ca.) 20°C ab. Wir haben die 2 Wochen genossen und uns gut erholt.

Villa over looking the mountains

Beautiful farm like property up in the mountains where the view is spectacular. You will be greeted by Frejya and Malcolm who will bring you a bottle of Prosecco on your arrival which was lovely after a long drive. Caprese Michelangelo is in close proximity to some beautiful towns - my favorite was Anghiari for it's charm and history, or if you want to shop the town of Sansepolcro was spectacular. You will want to visit the birthplace of Michealangelo which is about 3km from where you are staying. A must is the Olive Oil Mill visit - it's only 25Euro per person and you get to meet Francesco who is very animated and the mill runs in his family since the 1400's. The lunch is incredible with many courses and wine/olive oil/vinegars. What a treat! I wish I had more time to spend by the pool as it was so peaceful. Please ensure you have specific instructions on how to get to the Villa as we were a little lost, make sure you have Marcena mapped out on your GPS. Thank-you Frejya for a wonderful stay!

Our wonderful holiday

Both my partner and I have lengthy commutes to work and we're looking for a getaway from it relaxing holiday. Well we managed to tick all the boxes From the hosts' welcome with chilled prosecco , our delicious first night's meal delivered to our apartment, splendid pizzas, amazing restaurants, glorious views, relaxing pool and we even had time for some sight seeing. We left with our batteries fully recharged and a promise to return

Splendid Holiday

What a thoroughly splendid time, from the hosts warm welcome, with a chilled bottle of proscecco, the well furnished, tidy, clean apartment, the heated salt pool it had everything we could have wanted. The hosts were attentive and helpful, the recommendations for places to eat showed a genuine love for the area and a willingness to help. We were honestly torn between relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun or getting out to see the sights so my advice would be bring some comfortable shoes, plenty of sun protection and do as much of both as your time allows. Also bring a pair of binoculars because the wildlife you will see from your window is amazing. Make sure you take the trip to the olive oil mill where we sampled an array of flavoured oils, consumed copious amounts of tasty food and great wine,

Tuscan Tranqulity

Wonderful little gem tucked away in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Perfect base for exploring the region. Highly recommend the olive oil tasting afternoon which the owners arranged for us! Nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted upon arrival with a nice cold bottle of prosecco which was a lovely touch and very welcomed after our journey from the UK. Great stay and great hosts!

Good accommodation and an amazing view! Overlooks pool and has an outdoor seating area with the most amazing view! There was even a good little trail for running/walking right on the doorstep! Freya and Malcolm were brilliant hosts with great advice and always offering to help with our stay!
