Chalet in quiet resort Métabief Jura mountains

The chalet was finished in January 2012, fully equipped, it is located at the end of a dead end and therefore has absolute calm. It overlooks the Doubs river (located 100m away with 2 waterfalls nearby). It has a breathtaking view of the forest, the fields and the ski slopes.
It is built of raw wood, Haut-Doubs spruce and is therefore completely respectful of the challenges of sustainable development.


The Métabief Mont d'or ski resort has 30 ski lifts, 6 chairlifts in winter, for 40 km of alpine ski slopes, and 210 km of cross-country ski trails in both styles. It is also the opportunity to learn biathlon and discover new sensations since Haut-Doubs is a big provider of medals at each Olympic Games thanks to this discipline. You can also go dog sledding, snowshoeing or discover ski-joring (horse-drawn skiing).
The village of Rochejean does not lack activities with cross-country ski trails, the visit to the educational farm of La Batailleuse.

And, many cross-country ski trails are transformed into marked mountain bike trails whether for hiking or downhill (the resort has hosted the World and European Championships in mountain biking but also many other national and international competitions Thanks to many marked trails including the GR5 or the GTJ, you can admire from the peaks of the Mont d'Or the panorama of the Alps or even surprise the chamois.
There are still many activities within the resort such as tree climbing, paragliding but also the discovery of gastronomy with the visit of the county ripening cellars in St Antoine or the tasting of local products in the mountain chalets of Mont d'Or.

5 kms away is Lake St POINT (2nd natural lake in France) where you can swim, or even go sailing, windsurfing or even pedal boat or even let yourself be driven on the lake to an excursion by electro-solar boat.

The chalet is also located about ten kilometers from the Swiss border and the Vallée de Joux, a Mecca for luxury and the manufacture of the most prestigious watches in the world, there is also a lake on which you can skate in winter or even enjoy a fondue in the many huts on the frozen lake. In summer, you can also swim.

At 10 kms, there is Mouthe and its valley, a center for Nordic skiing with the arrival of the Transjurassienne (the longest cross-country ski race in France), but also in Chaux-Neuve, the 118m springboard which hosts a Nordic combined World Cup each year.
