The property suited our purposes for the 48 hour stay we had there. The driveway is very deceptive in the photo and dangerous to exit. Also no mention of planes taking off every 15 minutes or so from 6.30am. Other than the above, no complaints and good value for money.

Clean comfortable cottage.
Clean comfortable cottage. Close to good dog walking area. Plenty of stores within walking distance. Off-road parking, but tricky exit onto busy road. Nice back lawn with seating to use when the weather is good. Suited our purpose - a few days away with the dog to visit relatives close by and owners to hand if help is required.

A love, homely feel to the house, that had everything we could possibly need.
A love, homely feel to the house, that had everything we could possibly need. Kind and efficient “landlords” who left welcome gifts for us, and for whom nothing was too much trouble. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Dining room table and chairs need replacing. Overall needs refurbishment as rather jaded.
Kinson woods marvellous area for walking and taking the dog.
Bus services excellent - we didn't use the car but only the buses which saved a lot of hassle!
Local eateries very satisfactory especially The Carvery and Blue Jade Chinese takeaway.

A lovely bungalow in a good location to see the sites of southern Dorset.
A lovely bungalow in a good location to see the sites of southern Dorset.
A co op and Tesco nearby, Sainsbury’s and Lidl within 3 miles.
Despite some saying the road was too noisy to sleep, we didn’t find that an issue (even though we live on a quiet residential street, with only occasional cars passing by.) I did find the drive a bit of an issue with a big car- the opening is quite narrow - and needed to come in to it at a 90degree angle to be able to fit. The drive is steep, with gravel part way up (thank goodness for tarmac at the top) and the traction control complained.
A little dated, the inside of the bungalow was very clean and well equipped. Loved the welcome pack - after horrendous traffic it was nice to be able to chill over a glass of wine and some nice biscuits.
No dishwasher - but I’d forgotten how relaxing it can be to wash up, looking over the garden. The washing machine also tumble dried - as I don’t have one, this was a nice little luxury. I certainly prefer the washing machine to a dishwasher when on holiday, anyway.
The shower was over the bath (like many homes) and is not too easy to get into for those with mobility issues, although the step into the house wasn’t a problem for my very elderly father.
The garden is a nice little sun trap and perfectly enclosed for small dogs, but our larger dog (had we brought her) would have been able to jump over it. Obviously, this wasn’t an issue for us - but those of you with dogs who can jump easily need to be aware the gate was about hip height. Dogs are charged at £25 each.
As the double bed has a pine frame, the mattress is a little hard and this wasn’t as comfortable as it could be for us and I got a padded mattress topper to help ease the pressure. Not a problem - it will always come in handy. Beds are quite low, which could cause some people an issue.
The WiFi was a decent speed (yay!!) but we thought it had gone down one night. It turned out that the router was in the twin bedroom, on the window ledge, and my father had accidentally pulled it down when he’d used the extension cable and moved it towards him - not realising what the other plug was for- and the signal was muffled by the wardrobe and carpet. I’d got withdrawal symptoms - which is my fault (I need to detox from the internet). At the time, the extension cable wasn’t fastened to anything. The landlord was fantastic and showed us what had happened.
Please don’t think I’m complaining - but simply giving information. Hopefully, it may be of use to you. We’d definitely love to stay here again. Great place.

Nice holiday with only 1 full day of rain all week.
Nice holiday with only 1 full day of rain all week. The property was adequate for our needs although a little updating may be required, but we were comfortable and warm.
The garden is great and was secure for collie.
Found it best to turn right into the drive which is steep with hedge on one side and garden brick work on the other so care is needed.
However, the drive is not as steep as the one at home.
Supermarkets nearby and we had a number of meals at The Owls Nest.

The bungalow was very comfortable and well equipped. The property was clean and the owners very helpful and welcoming. The enclosed rear garden made for a stress-free week as we have a dog. Altogether, it was a great week - even the weather was good!

A very comfortable cottage in a good location, near to the local shops and within easy reach of Bournemouth. An excellent walking area for the dog near to Oak Lodge which proved very valuable. Would certainly use Oak Lodge again, probably in the summer months so we can enjoy sitting in the Conservatory or in the sun.
