Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the space, and it was incredibly comfortable for my wife and me. Everything is in good working order and very clean. The views off of the back porch were picturesque and perfect when sitting in the hot tub. One of the best things for my wife and I was that there was no additional contact with the property manager rather than having to meet with people. This allowed us to arrive at our pace and enjoy our vacation on our terms.I would highly recommend Elk Springs for any stay.

I do not have enough room to type this out!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Original check in time states 3pm but we were not arriving until 4ish, so no bid deal. We received a message around 3:30 stating that our room would not be ready until around 5-5:30 while in route. We had dinner plans with friends and needed to take a quick shower and put on decent close before we met up with our group, so this put us a bit behind but we could make it work. We stopped in publix to grab a few essentials since we arrived around 4 and headed up to our cabin at 5. House keeping was still there, so we parked a bit down the road and was waiting for them to complete our cabin. At 5:30 they were still there so we called the office, the lady advised us they were filling the hot tub and should be completed in about 20 mins, at 6 we called back because the were still there and there were no further updates. At this point we are about to miss our group if we do not get in now...At 6:30 we cancelled our evening plans, WE WERE STILL NOT IN OUR CABIN! Finally at 6:40, we were sent the cabin door code to check in, but guess what... HOUSE KEEPING IS STILL THERE. At 6:48, house keeping is finally getting in their truck and rolling off so we head straight to the door and are ready to officially start our trip. We attempt the code 2 times and another truck comes pulling up, the gentleman asks if we are the cleaners or the renters. After explaining we are the renters and the code did not work, he attempted to get in. The code in fact did not work, after trying to get in the windows he stated he would have to drive to Gatlinburg to get the master key and promised me he would be back in 30 minutes. at 8:15 a different man arrived with keys, they also did not work. This gentleman was able to get in the window and was able to let us in around 8:30, the keypad battery was dead and the door handle was broke from the inside. He took the door handle off and replaced it and was in our cabin till around 9pm. There should be at least 1 day refunded!
VrboOwner a répondu le 20 oct. 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Our 3 PM check-in time is a target outlined in our rental agreement, and our housekeeping team works very hard to have each cabin ready on time for our arriving guests. Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances can cause delays, and we understand that waiting longer than expected can be frustrating, especially when you have plans for the evening. We also recognize that the issues with the door lock added to the inconvenience, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We are always working to improve our processes and provide the best possible experience for our guests. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope the remainder of your visit gave you the opportunity to enjoy the area and make some wonderful memories!

We are so glad to hear that you had a great stay and that our team was able to promptly address your maintenance issue with clear communication — thats always our goal. We appreciate your feedback regarding the pool flooring. The location is great, the cabin has a lot of amenities as described, that being said, the cabin needs a desperate deep cleaning as there is spider webs all over, a lot of dust accumulated for ages, towels need improvement as they are supposed to be white and have a tan color to them. Now the worst part of the stay was that we had no heat and emergency heat didn’t work either.Cabin stayed between 50-56 degrees of the entire stay and it was unbearable to sleep.
