We have had a good stay with the family. The location is perfect for visiting places nearby. The house is clean and had everything necessary to make our stay pleasant, it is cozy. Recommended!

We hebben er een leuke vakantie gehad. Het was een ruim , praktisch en luchtig huis. We kregen als welkomstgeschenk Chimay bier en Chimay kaas, die ons zeker smaakte. Eén minpuntje waren de vliegen in de keuken, wanneer je de deur opendeed, vlogen er dadelijk een vijftal binnen, misschien een tip om een vliegenraam te plaatsen of een hangsysteem om de insecten buiten te houden.

Zeer verzorgd huis, voorzien van alle comfort, degelijke wifi en voor wie dat belangrijk vindt: er is Belgacom TV. Er is een broodautomaat quasi recht tegenover de deur. Fondry des Chiens is de moeite, maar ook in de winter: vrij druk. Zeer rustige omgeving: op alle wandeltochten, gedaan in de directe omgeving, amper iemand gezien. Vooral Couvin heeft met een soort winkelcentrum alle mogelijke supermarkten, maar ook kleding winkels en tutti quanti.

Wat een heerlijk verblijf in dit vintage vakantiehuis! De ruimte was perfect voor onze vriendengroep en we vonden het heerlijk om samen te komen rond de unieke barrelbar voor een glas Chimay. De locatie is rustig, met de rivier de Eau Blanche op loopafstand, perfect voor avondwandelingen. Een echte aanrader voor iedereen die wil ontspannen in de natuur!

We verblijven momenteel in gîte Mariette en hebben een leuke tijd. De woning heeft alle comfort die we hedendaags nodig hebben. Het uitzicht is fantastisch! We werden ook goed ontvangen door de ouders van de gastvrouw en verrast met een lekkere Chimay en blok kaas. In de buurt kan je mooie wandelingen maken, typische Ardense stadjes bezoeken en lekker uit eten gaan. Als we dan toch een minpuntje moeten bedenken, zijn het misschien de bedden (kraken bij de minste beweging) en de kat van de buren(?). We zijn dierenliefhebbers maar het diertje vraagt op elk moment van de dag aandacht. Staat te miauwen aan de deur, springt op tafel en op je schoot. Sommige mensen houden hiervan maar ik kan me voorstellen dat niet iedereen dit leuk vindt. Al bij al genieten we van onze welverdiende vakantie!

Zeer mooie Gite met ruime kamers en een gezellige living. De keuken is prima uitgerust en het terras nodigt uit om te aperitiveven en te BBQen. De wifi heeft soms kuren; sommige toestellen konden niet connecteren en blijkbaar waren sommige internetsite via de wifi ook niet bereikbaar (restaurant websites). Maar dit is zeker geen reden om slechte punten te geven. Vriendelijk ontvangst en een leuke attentie bij aankomst maakten het geheel top!
