The 160-hectare Domaine du Ris de Feu offers four guest rooms and two charming cottages (each accommodating a maximum of 2 guests), a heated swimming pool, a spa and sauna (optional), a garden, four private and marked hiking trails, a terrace overlooking the forest, and a lake with a rowboat.

Located in Berry, in the heart of the Brenne Regional Natural Park, a birdwatcher's paradise, the Domaine is situated in the four-star village of Chalais, where the night skies are truly magnificent.

This 5-star rated cottage offers a living room with a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a large bedroom with a desk, a large flat-screen satellite TV, and a DVD player, and a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and sink. Outside, a teak table and sun loungers are available.

If you wish to explore the Brenne region, you can enjoy cycling, hiking, and guided tours.

Located in Chalais (36370), near Le Blanc, in the heart of the triangle going from Poitiers, to Châteauroux and Limoges, the Ris de Feu is strategic for visiting the Brenne and its 1000 ponds, the Chérine reserve and its nature center , the beautiful villages of Angles-sur-Anglin or Saint-Benoît-du-Sault, the abbey of Saint-Savin (UNESCO) the abbey church of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulcre (UNESCO), as well as the house of Georges Sand in Nohant-le-Vic.

Eine Oase der Ruhe

La Brenne! Das war es, was wir sehen wollten: Natur! Passend dazu hatten wir uns für 14 Tage ein Domizil mitten im Wald ausgesucht. Le Gite L'Anglin hielt, was die Internetseite versprach: Ein geschmackvoll ausgebautes Ferienhaus, auf einem historischen Anwesen, mit allen Annehmlichkeiten der modernen Technik, wie Spülmaschine, Zentralheizung, und ein modernes Bad, aber doch mit dem Charme der Romantik, ein riesiges Waldgelände mit eigenen Wanderwegen und einem kleinen See. Wir wurden von Caroline herzlich begrüßt und sie erklärte uns alles ums Haus, was wir wissen mussten. Auch Luc lernten wir kennen, und sie waren immer da, wenn es Fragen gab. L'Anglin war gepflegt, die Betten waren bezogen und es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Die Brenne ist etwas für Naturliebhaber und Vogelfreunde. Abends kehrten wir beim Ruf des Käuzchens in unser gemütliches Häuschen, weit ab der Zivilisation, zurück, wo uns zeitweise, dank Caroline, schon das lodernde Feuer unseres Kaminofens begrüßte. Wir können dieses Haus wärmstens empfehlen, und kommen sicher wieder. Merci beaucoup Caroline et Luc pour cette merveilleuse maison. Nous revienons. Uli und Herbert
