Loved the Beachcomber!
Loved the house and the location, better views than in the photos and a great undercover balcony. Beds made for us, gorgeous linen and king sized towels, a real hotel feel. The owners were so easy to deal with and could be contacted if we had a question, so nice not to get a voicemail. Good selection of videos and books for a quiet night in. Will recommend this home to our friends, very clean and well maintained.
Unwind and relax
Met expectations - that was important. Cleanliness, functionality and, of course, the location. Highlights were the balcony view and going to sleep in crisp clean sheets listening to the waves on the beach. Good walking opportunities - beach and cliff walks. Local cafe(s) were good.
Horseshoe Bay location a highlight, loved the views!
Beachcomber has such a nice view from the under cover deck. Much better views than in the pictures. Owners very helpful and had provided everything we needed for a few days away even down to dishwasher tablets for the Miele dishwasher. Convenient location, didn't need our car, just walked everywhere for meals out. Cleanest holiday place we have ever stayed it. Comfy good quality beds and starched bed linen. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends and will come again.
Pleasant stay in a great location
The house was clean and communication was good with t he Managers/Owners.
A few extra basics were required to be brought along by us that are usually included for the rental price (e.g. cleaning products, no tea or coffee facilities, and if required non-stick cookware). Usually these are included in a rental of this quality.
We will be back for sure as the location is great and the house is clean on arrival.
Beachcomber is in a fabulous Horseshoe Bay location and the property is presented spotlessly by our family with all professionally prepared linen and towels provided and beds made up on arrival. We supply more than the basics for every booking including dishwasher tablets, soap powder, cling wrap, shower gel, hand soap, jif, floor cleaner, water for the iron, fly spray, plus a starting supply of toilet paper. This is advised to our guests in advance for their convenience and to make the house a home away from home. We regularly review what we provide in line with safety legislation. We provide a coffee plunger and tea pot. We provide a spotless stainless steel frypan as we have found that many guests cut pans with knives which creates a health issue for the next guests if non stick surfaces are damaged. As new products become available we do consider these. The comfort and safety of our guests is very important to us. As our phones are on 24/7 our guests can contact us at all times and we are always pleased to assist! Wendy and Philip.
Wonderful location, comfortable home
Beachcomber is in a great location with views of Horseshoe Bay. This was very convenient for us and we could walk to everything we wanted to see in Port Elliot. The house is extremely clean and well maintained with all the basics supplied for a nice holiday. We would come back again.
Ideal Beach Location
Beachcomber provided the ideal location for a beachside getaway for our family of 4 with access to the beach just over the road. All of Pt Elliot's amenities are within walking distance, plus easy access to the safe bike track.
The accomodation is very clean and in excellent condition with up to date appliances. There is plenty of room with 2 large living spaces, 2 bathrooms and 3 generous size bedrooms plus a deck with views of the sea which we utilised morning and night. We experienced some hot weather at the time of our trip and the a/c in the main living room and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms were sufficient to keep us comfortable.
Philip and Wendy are very professional hosts making themselves available if there any issues with the house. We will definitely return to Beachcomber and would recommend this property to friends and family.
BEACHCOMBER is situated in the popular township of Port Elliot. The Flying Fish restaurant, Cockle Train and the cafes and shopping of historic Port Elliot are only a short stroll away.
