We were warmly welcomed by our host on arrival. He showed us all the amenities from the rooms to the spa and pool as well as the pizza oven. Our stay included a generous amount of fresh eggs, bacon, sausages and an assortment of other breakfast goodies. The layout of the kitchen, lounge and pool table flowed out to the pool with a lovely big table on the covered verandah. On a clear night the stars were absolutely amazing. We loved the country feel, fresh air and abundance of wildlife. The space of the property was perfect for our family to spread out and come together and celebrate a milestone birthday. It was the perfect location.

Wonderful Country Retreat

We had a wonderful time. Lovely welcome by the caretaker Andre, fridge full with breakfast goodies including amazing bacon and fresh eggs. The property is very private with beautiful country scenery…so good, we did not feel compelled to leave at all. Kitchen is small and not suitable for a big cook up however bbq and pizza oven outdoors are! Plan your cooking accordingly.. rooms and beds very comfortable. Shower water-pressure and bathrooms very nice!

Idyllic location in a peaceful setting

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The pool and outdoor areas are amazing. The bathrooms (we had access to 3) are well appointed with a bath and showers. Plenty of hot water. The bedrooms are large and beds very comfortable. However, there isn't any wardrobe or hangers which we found unusual. As a couple we found all the facilities adequate, but for a larger group, I believe the kitchen could have an oven and full sized hob. The property manager Fiona was friendly and helpful and brought us fruit and breakfast items each day, very tasty. For us, the place was really enjoyable. Especially the remoteness and peace.

We loved our weekend away at Camyr Allyn Homstead a beautiful country manor plenty of room for up t0 10 people we were a party of 7 the bedrooms were well equipped with some nice touches the fridge had welcome goodies William met us on arrival and showed us through the property brought over fresh food for breakfast our first morning and cooked us an amazing breakfast second day the pool was clean the verandah amazing we loved that theer was some many seating options around the property thanks guys we will be back

Our whole family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful homestead. Very clean and had everything we needed. Thank you to our hosts Tracey and Cam for making our stay extra special. We were all sad to leave.

A blissful, childfree weekend with friends

We loved our stay. The property and accommodation were even better than expected! It is so peaceful and the beds are some of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. We'd love to bring the grandparents and kids so they can experience it as well. Next time we'd try some of the catered meals or at least ask for help with the pizza oven 😆 Overall, a wonderful stay and we wishwe had booked an extra night!

Fabulous family getaway

This property was a perfect escape from Sydney for our family of 4. Surrounded by fields and with little phone reception, it was fabulous to rewind and reconnect. Special mention to Tracey and Cameron who made us feel very welcome. We will be back!!

The absolute best

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the property is gorgeous. It was the perfect place to celebrate New Year with friends around the BBQ, pizza oven and pool. We also loved going down to the river swimming and using the rope swing. There is so much to do on the property. The bedding arrangements worked perfectly for our group. We easily could have stayed for longer. Thanks for your hospitality.

Amazing getaway

We stayed Camyr Allen for Christmas as three couples and a single in our mid thirties. It was absolutely sublime! The property is stunning and perfect for getting away from the city. It felt totally private and for good weather days (which we were abundantly blessed with) served as the perfect place to host Christmas with awesome outside cooking/eating facilities, plus the pool with the gorgeous view of the fields and farmland. Bedrooms were well presented and spacious, and there were lovely little touches such as homemade muffins on arrival and lots of fresh fruit. :) Breakfast supplies were super generous, we definitely didn’t need to bring any ourselves! Tracey was lovely to deal with and very accessible via text for any questions. Overall we loved our stay, next time we’d love to try the catering options as I’m sure it’s the icing on the cake!

Beautiful Environment

Lovely property but given it rained solidly during our stay the living space was far too small for 6 adults and two six month old babies. In particular the kitchen is tiny with only two gas burners, no oven and no bench space. It may have worked if the BBQ or pizza oven was usable. Perhaps an island bench would make it work better but the lounge space is also small and might be further compromised.

Hard to fault

My wife and I visited Camyr Allyn for my birthday, drawn in mostly by the photos of the solar heated pool and gas heated spa that could be enjoyed even on the cooler days. Greeted by the most friendly and hospitable caretaker we've come across in our travels, Tracey showed us all the features offered by the property. The Homestead is intended for larger groups, but also suits couples wanting to get away for a special occasion. The wing we stayed in was spacious and clean and the breakfast inclusions were more than adequate, while the homemade muffins thrown in by Tracey were an appreciated personal touch. Even though the Homestead is quite large, they only have one group staying there at a time to ensure you get the facilities all to yourself. While Tracey and Cameron are close by if you need anything extra, they otherwise keep their distance to ensure your privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to get back there soon! Make sure you check out the range of jams/conserves that are made onsite from fruits grown in the Camyr Allyn Homestead garden.

Wonderful host

Beautiful setting, relaxing vibe and wonderful hosts. The pool was a lovely extra to a a country property and two gorgeous, very friendly golden retrievers to welcome you on arrival - don’t worry they don’t jump up or come rushing at you, just come wagging their tails and what I would call a smile on their faces!! Highly recommend this place for a quiet relaxing getaway. I’ll be back 😀

A hidden treasure

We stayed at Camyr Allyn to celebrate a milestone family birthday and were treated to a superb weekend in the country. Our party ranged in ages from 4 to 80 and everyone had an awesome time. The kids were entertained with the pool, chickens and large estate to play on. A highlight for them was a Ute ride around the property with caretaker Cam...it was a highlight for the adults too 👍 A breakfast basket is included in accommodation and was plentiful and delicious. We didn’t need to bring a lot of extra food as a lot of it was already provided, including freshly backed muffins waiting for us on arrival, a large fruit platter and lots of home made condiments. On the first night we arranged a fruit and cheese platter which again was plentiful and delicious, feeding us the entire weekend... we opted to make our own pizzas on the first night too which was fun. We brought all our own stuff but doubled up on heaps between groups so in hindsight should have arranged it through Tracey and Cam. The second night we had a celebration dinner in the dining room which was cooked by Tracey and served by Cam. The food was delicious and the evening was totally magical, definitely the highlight of the weekend for us all. The accommodation was lovely and homely, taking us all back to simpler times. The only challenge was fridge space… There wasn’t enough but Tracey gave us access to another fridge in a usually locked part of the house which allowed us to put some extra items in. Overall, the weekend and accommodation was perfect and helped ensure our family celebration was special and one to be remembered. We look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful spot, gorgeous home, lovely hosts! Highly recommend and we will def be back!

We had the most wonderful baby moon at this beautiful property! Kristen and family were wonderful hosts, so accommodating and reassuring during such an uncertain time (due to covid.) The house and grounds are stunning, well-maintained, and super clean. Everything you could need has been thought of. The pool and spa are wonderful and have the most gorgeous vista across rolling green hills. Tracy and Cam, who manage the property, went above and beyond to look after us- providing delicious breakfast treats, home baked muffins and fab recommendations for things to do locally. (Not to mention lovely chats and friendly smiles every day!) We can’t thank you enough for this perfect end to our time as a two-some! Now that our son has arrived, we will def be back to rest and relax in the future! :)

An amazing staycation!

I couldn’t praise this property more. It was an absolute treat... The property manager was fantastic, on arrival we discovered a full fridge (sausages, bacon, fruit, baked goods etc). The property was homely, the pool was heated which made a swim possible everyday! The location was close to town and has a pub/bowling club near by.
