The apartment has its own terrace as well as the communal terrace of the building which has a panoramic view on the beach of Essaouira's bay and the Medina. Parking space for one car in the basement. The building is secured by a guard for your tranquillity.

An historical maze

Lose yourself in the narrow streets of the city. At the bend in one of them, between a large door and the blue shutters flapping because of the Atlantic wind, you will feel like in a movie set. Memories from the past, the thick Portuguese ramparts of the Skala and their cannons pointed towards the open sea reflect an ancient battle. Its medina, where you can find the souk, is on the UNESCO's World Heritage Site list. It is not surprising if great directors used it as a location film: Orson Welles in 1959 for Othello, Olivier Stone for Alexander in 2003, or Ridley Scott for Kingdom of Heaven in 2004.

A place for relaxing

Essaouira, known as the 'African wind city', is very famous for windsurfing and kite surfing. Of course, if you are not a fan of the wind, you can ride a quad bike, a horse, a camel and set out to conquer the dunes. However, if you wish, you can go on a walk along the beaches...

After a long day, nothing is better than a bit on relaxation. Go to the square Moulay EL Hassan, in downtown Essaouira, you will be enchanted by the muezzin's calls to prayer. In front of the sunset and after so many activities, savour a Turkish coffee and traditional pastries prepared with argan honey. What a wonderful way to end the day!

You have to see the amazing views from the terrace of the restaurant Casa Véra, over the harbour and the beach of Essaouira's bay, and the view from the restaurant Taros. Both are located on square Moulay.

The apartment is in a very convenient place for the beach and medina. I found it clean and comfy.

I was able to go to the beach, medina, and church (opposite the apartment block), every day from this apartment. It is clean and secure and very comfortable. Essaouira is a very chilled town and has a really relaxed atmosphere. The weather can be windy, hence its nickname, and also very hot. I've really enjoyed my time here and can recommend it if you want a relaxed, hassle free holiday. Bon Vacances.

We can't imagine a better place to stay

We stayed at this wonderful apartment for the month of February. It is in a perfect location just outside the medina, a short block from the beach, and a 5 minute walk from the Supratours bus station. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the views and sounds of the ocean.

The furnished apartment is very nicely decorated in a traditional Moroccan style. The modern kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, including an oven. The large modern Carrefour supermarket is a 20 minute walk and the medina has abundant fruit, vegetable, and bread shops.

The owners were very attentive and responded quickly to all our emails and questions.

We look forward to returning someday.

Fabulous apartment in superb location

The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos. It was beautifully clean and is very well equipped, notably the shower is of a very high quality and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and the balcony itself is actually bigger than it looks which makes it a great space for dining. You can also see the view from the bedroom which is lovely to wake up to.

The apartment complex itself is very up market and immaculately clean. The panoramic view from the roof terrace is well worth a look.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, the medina, with its myriad of fabulous restaurants, and the local shops. The Supratours bus station is literally just around the corner.

The owners were a pleasure to deal with and very informative. The instructions given were very clear and concise and Bouchra the contact for the keys was very amenable. Don't worry if you don't speak French - just use Google translate and Bouchra's daughter speaks excellent English should you need something whilst there.

I would definitely recommend this apartment, we had a great time staying here.

L'appartement est dans un excellent emplacement - à droite sur la plage et au bord de la médina - et très joliment décorée, propre et pour deux personnes la taille parfaite.

Les propriétaires sont très sympas. La correspondance a eu lieu toujours en temps opportun.
