Walk or use the bikes provided to head to the beach and watch the fabulous sunsets. Donna Bay is visible from the cute front porch! Its the perfect place to unwind for couples or with friends and family.

Clean and cozy cottage, perfect for two couples. We enjoyed the screened porch, the quiet neighborhood, and the close proximity to all we wanted to do.The hostess was very responsive before, during, and after our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Tipsy Mermaid. The place was exactly as advertised, a cute place for a family getaway. It had everything we needed and Jo Ann was very responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for having us!

Quite and clean

Our stay at the Tipsy Mermaid was perfect. The home was exactly as expected from the listing. The home was clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the bikes. Communication with the host was excellent. I would stay there again.

Great location to beach and downtown Venice. Lovely home with ample space for 2-4 pp with separate bedroom suites. Nicely remodeled, well kept, well stocked kitchen for cooking at home. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Owners easy to communicate with easy checkin/checkout. Highly recommend.

Terrific location

This is a newly updated and well maintained home in a quiet residential neighborhood centrally located (10-15 minutes) to the beach, the bike trail, a public golf course and driving range, boat ramp to access the intercoastal waterway and bay, several good restaurants and beautiful downtown Venice with nice shops and even more restaurants. We stayed 3 weeks in March and were very happy with the house itself, the communication with the property manager and the great location that allowed us to enjoy all that winter in Florida has to offer without the traffic hassles of some of the larger towns.

Top Marks, Cottage and Host

This house was every bit what I wanted and as described. Spacious. Two bedrooms with a hole in between, so not right next to each other. Backyard and furniture very nice. All to our complete satisfaction. We did not meet our host, nor did we need to. However, she was kind enough to find my missing hearing aid which I was upset about losing and would have cost a lot to replace. All in all, a great week in Florida visiting my two brothers. Much of that due to enjoying that lovely house.

Cute Cozy Cottage

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Tipsy Mermaid. The property owner is very sweet and responsive. The cottage has everything you need and was very comfortable and clean. The location is great! You are just minutes away from everything (downtown Venice, numerous beaches, restaurants, parks, etc.) and in our opinion, Nokomis beats staying in Venice any day! We loved walking through the neighborhood with all the lovely gardens and gorgeous oak trees, watching the tropical birds flying overhead towards the bay across the street, and just enjoying the peaceful quiet setting of the cottage. We would definitely rent the Tipsy Mermaid again.

Lovely house for us and dog, great location

We were looking for a home away from home and it was lovely! So cute, loved yard for our dog, and the garage for our car. We highly recommend this rental.
