We had a lovely stay at Gorgonza with family. The apartment is only a short walk to the village and facilities. The use of the ski room prior to checkin was appreciated to be able to enjoy an afternoon ski before checkin and the apartment was comfortable and provided for an accommodating visit.
Took a little bit to figure out where the property was as the instructions where for ride share from the overnight car park but I booked an underground one instead -so that was on me.
The location was great. So close to everything. The cabin itself is old and cold but charming. Keep the doors closed and it warms up nicely! I loved all the family photos on the walls and the history in the old guest books dating back to 1970! And the views from the balcony- what can I say, breathtaking. The home was bigger than expected and plenty of room for myself and the mix of seven kids I had with me. The water stayed hot and having a second toilet was the best! The younger kids had a blast mucking around on the sleds outside the front door. My only downfall would be there is no clear path to the front door- makes rolling suitcases very hard across snow.
Would stay again.
I stayed with kids ages 6, 8,9,11,11,14&14
We had an excellent stay at this lodge style apartment. It had everything we needed and was close to the village which was great. Excellent drying room, great shower and excellent having toboggans! We all had a great time!
A great little lodge close to the village. I loved it as a child when I came here 40 years ago. This week I got to bring my family here and it’s still awesome. Cosy, warm and brilliant for snowball fights amongst the trees outside!
Kitchen was more than adequate, and well equipped. Lounge room comfortable enough. Shower was a strange shape but workable.
Cool runnings DVD case was empty :(
This property was great and suited our needs perfectly. We had an issue with a water leak in the downstairs bedroom though India and Siena were fantastic at responding and helping to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend this property and we will be back next year :)
The whole process of booking the stay was simple. The lodge was everything we were looking for as a weekend getaway, in a nice central location with some great views off the deck.
More than happy to book again for any future adventures.
Cozy accommodation on the mountain.
Price seems about right given the condition of property (in need of some maintenance i.e walls and ceilings, duct tape applied to ceiling in queen bedroom), otherwise clean and tidy.
Mattresses aren't the best (hard and 'springy')
The bathroom has been updated in recent years, though the 70s shower could do with refurbishment.
Decent kitchen has everything you need.
The cabin smelt a bit 'funky' on arrival. (Possibly from guests smoking inside through the winter)
