This 3 bedroom home in South Venice with a heated and screened pool area offers guests the ideal vacation home. You will know this is a well maintained home as soon as you pull up and observe the manicured grass and shrubbery that both enhances the beauty as well as offers seclusion. The screened entry opens into a formal living room and dining room with the master bedroom and adjoining bath off to your left. 3 sets of patio sliders in the living room, master bedroom and family room open to the screened pool and lanai. A great place to enjoy your meals poolside. The fully stocked kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a reverse osmosis water system. An additional refrigerator is located in the garage. The second and third bedrooms have a bathroom with access to the outdoor yard and shower. The 2 car garage with remote has two bikes for the use of guests. The fenced backyard is perfect if you are vacationing with your pup.

I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care to meet and exceed our guest's experience. All contractors are in place to care for the property so you can enjoy a worry free vacation. My home is Spotless thanks to a housekeeper that takes pride in her work.

South Venice is close to Venice Island's shops and restaurants and our community's most unique asset is a deeded 1,300 foot private beachfront property on the Gulf of Mexico.

Included in your Rental Rate are passes to the South Venice Ferry which departs less than a mile from your house-(a short bike ride)! The 18 passenger ferry drops local passengers at a private, blissfully quiet stretch of Manasota Key with access to clear surf, deserted shore and spectacular shelling shark teeth hunting.

Shamrock Park and Nature Center, located 2 miles from your house, offers more than 80 acres of natural area land providing opportunities for nature study, educational hikes, environmental programs as well as facilities for active recreation. Bird hikes, butterfly garden tours, and nature hikes are offered throughout the year. The park serves as the trail head access for the south east portion of the Venetian Waterway Trail. The 10.2 mile trail offers park visitors the opportunity to walk, bike or roller blade from Shamrock Park to downtown Venice, the historic train station and Caspersen Beach.

I have owned vacation rental property in Colorado since the 1980's (vrbo #44235). In December, 2015, I vacationed in Venice, Florida and stayed at this property with my daughter and our two golden retrievers. I love kayaking and was thrilled with all the outdoor activities available in South Venice. When I learned that Glen's property was for sale, I didn't hesitate to buy it and I hope to continue to share it with others on VRBO. I am committed to maintaining the quality of this listing that received 25 - 5 star reviews under Glen's management since 2012. Having myself received 47 5- star reviews for my Colorado property, I'm confident I am up to the challenge.

Why Dorelle Ackermann chose Venice

Beaches, Biking, and Kayaking, all within walking distance, is a big reason I chose this property. I stayed at this property for two weeks before purchasing and I learned first hand how comfortable a home it was. As a dog owner, I appreciated the fenced yard and screened lanai and pool where I could spend outdoor time with my dogs. Two nearby dog parks were also a big plus for me.

My daughter (shown in the picture kayaking with Nala on the nearby Braden river) loves the quaint downtown Venice area for its unique shops, restaurants and town square.

Wonderful home!!

I was very pleased with this lovely home! The owner has thought of everything to make a guest's stay very enjoyable and comfortable. The heated pool and the fenced in yard for my labrador retriever were added pluses too. The home is located in South Venice and is close to quaint downtown Venice and also to 41 which has all the convenient stores and restaurants. The beaches are about 10 minutes away as well.

I would highly recommend staying in this home!!

The home was amazing. It is spotless and well stocked.

It was great to sit out by the pool and relax. The grounds are very well maintained. It was wonderful. Dorelle was great to work with. I have been renting for the last 5 years and this was the best so far. I hope to return next Christmas.

The area is very safe. It was very accessible to shopping and lots of great places to eat. On and off the water. The ferry was great to take to the private beach. the beach was really nice. I rate this property a 10 out of 10.

Truly a home away from home...

Great location. Clean and well maintained home. Excellent layout for a large group. The ferry is very convenient. Instructions for the home and area are very easy. All amenities are at your finger tips!

Dorelle maintains this home very professionally. There was a small issue that was resolved in a perfect & fast manner. A very enjoyable vacation!! Can't wait to come back!

Felt Like Hpme

This is a very clean and comfortable home in a quite neighborhood. We really liked the layout of the house. Great for any family. The master and guest bedrooms were spacious and it felt like 2 separate homes. It had just about every utensil you would need. I was a chef for 18 years and had no problem cooking whatever we desired. We appreciated the notes and tips that the owner put together to help us maneuver around the house and area. Next time we would stay longer and get to know our way around better.
