Sandy Bottoms - Beach & Creek Escape

Sandy Bottoms is ready for your summer escape. Located directly opposite the pristine waters of Korrogoro Creek in Hat Head and only mins walk to the golden sands of the beach.

Perfect for the family holiday, the adventurer or those wanting a relaxing getaway. Swimming, fishing, surfing, bushwalking or just chill. The stylish beach house has front and rear decks, perfect to put your feet up and enjoy a beer or glass of wine after a long day at the beach. There is a private pool for that extra chill factor!! The house also offers a huge 18m x 4m under cover BBQ area (with Webber Q BBQ) and entertaining/ Alfresco dining area. Lots of extras including single lock up garage, WI FI and Foxtel.. NO PETS.

Bedroom 1 -queen bed, ceiling fan, built in robe, ensuite.
Bedroom 2 -queen bed, ceiling fan, built in robe.
Bedroom 3 -single bed with single trundle , access through bedroom 2 - ceiling fan/ lofted lounge/ TV area for kids or third bedroom.

LINEN available at $25 per person per stay. Linen includes bedding and bath towels.

There are 2 canoes and 2 kids canoes available for use and with the creek only metres away, it is a wonderful way to explore the area.

THE AREA
Hat Head National Park on the mid-north coast of NSW near South West Rocks is a natural paradise. Explore the lighthouse, camp by the beach and go fishing and swimming. Hat Head National Park, near Kempsey, is a place of exceptional beauty. The beaches, sand dunes, rainforest and wetlands offer an ideal backdrop for bushwalking, camping or a quiet picnic.

There are lots of walking tracks to choose from, excellent fishing and whale watching. Birdwatchers can look for black swans and spoonbills in the park’s wetlands, hawks and eagles soaring above beach cliffs and shorebirds like curlews and plovers around the beach.

The house was extremely clean on arrival, lawns freshly mowed and pool sparkling. We utilised the bbq and the outdoor dining- lovely breeze sitting out there in the evenings. The house was well stocked with essentials and good quality cutlery and crockery. We accessed the creek from across the road and did the float down to the ocean which was fun and took just over an hour. Beds were comfy. The pool was very refreshing but a couple of us found it a bit of a challenge getting in and out as it is a deep step in but this was due to age ( mid 60’s- 70’s) and some knee issues but we did manage. Would definitely stay at Sandy Bottoms again - it has a good holiday vibe.

We had a great time . House was beautiful host was great and really appreciated the gift from them , it was a quiet getaway for my wife’s 40th birthday so the bottle of wine was a perfect gift .
