Questo affascinante bungalow si trova direttamente sull'oceano nella tranquilla località balneare di De Kelders. A sole 2 ore dall'aeroporto di Città del Capo. il luogo perfetto per allontanarsi da tutto e vivere la natura. Il bungalow è circondato da fynbos indigeni e splendide viste sull'oceano. L'oceano è direttamente sotto, separato dal bungalow solo da un sentiero naturalistico.
Le attività includono: escursioni, tour del vino, osservazione delle balene (direttamente dal bungalow), marine big 5 e ristoranti gourmet.
Con tre camere da letto e due bagni lo spazio può ospitare comodamente QUATTRO ADULTI E QUATTRO BAMBINI (la terza camera più piccola ha letti a castello). Il camino in vetro è perfetto per le serate fredde. La cucina ha un grande frigorifero / congelatore, quattro fuochi con forno, macchina da caffè e bollitore elettrico. La connessione wifi ad alta velocità è disponibile in tutto il bungalow. Esiste un'installazione di allarme che include travi esterne collegate a un centro di risposta 24/7.
Ci sono diversi ampi spazi esterni privati che circondano il bungalow, una coperta coperta con braai, un boma e un sacco di fauna selvatica indigena all'interno della proprietà. Ci sono mobili da giardino in acciaio inossidabile, tavolo e mobili da esterno.
Gli arredi moderni della metà del secolo sono confortevoli e ricordano le vacanze al mare dei tempi passati. Semplice ma confortevole e accogliente.

I fell in love with the country's natural beauty and its warm and friendly people and excellent climate. I also find the diversity of the country and its people inspiring and energizing. My work focuses on sustainability so this has also an important factor in my life.

My partner and I first visited the Overberg region and De Kelders more than 15 years ago and have returned every year since. We love the natural beauty of the region combined with the great climate and culture. De Kelders is a quiet and friendly area with amazing ocean views. Directly next to the Walker Bay conservancy you can hike for hours through the dunes or along the unspoiled beach all the way to Hermanus.
Guppy Huys immediately struck as cozy and comfortable bungalow with amazing ocean views. The house was built by the father of the previous owner in the 80's and we have done some renovation including modernizing the kitchen, and a large oceanfront deck while trying to preserve the charm of the original dwelling.
The house is on a large plot (>1000 m2) covered with indigenous fynbos and extends directly down to the waterfront. We regularly see tortoises, dassies, mongoose and dozens of varieties of birds on the property. We also regularly see whales and dolphins.
With a focus on treading lightly on the environment, we have added solar hot water and PV electric panels with battery back-up. This has the added advantage that the lights (and wifi) stay on even if the power goes off.
Guppy Huys as a quiet and cozy place to reconnect with nature and friends and family. With this in mind, we have created a traditional firepit (boma) on the property, a built-in outdoor braai/bbq, and a large ocenfront deck with amzing view.
We look forward to sharing the magic of Guppy Huys with you.
