Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including Jackson Square (1.5 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (0.9 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.8 Miles), and the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.0 Miles). If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You’ll have exclusive access to the entire first floor of the duplex, including: • Living room • Full kitchen • 3 bedrooms • 2 full bathrooms • Laundry area Please note: The upstairs unit is occupied by long-term residents, but your level is completely private.
Step outside the ordinary and into a piece of New Orleans history. Tucked in the heart of the Marigny, this restored Creole cottage carries over 200 years of character - original architectural details, tall sunlit windows, and the kind of unhurried atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. It's the sort of place where mornings start slowly over coffee on the patio and evenings drift toward the sound of live jazz just around the corner.
The space Spread across a single-level layout with a private entrance, the cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests and moves easily between social gathering and quiet retreat. Original details give the home its soul, while central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and central heating keep things comfortable no matter the season. Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace with a door mean those who need to stay connected can do so without disrupting the flow of the house.
Sleeping arrangements Three bedrooms are furnished for restful nights, with quality bed linens, room-darkening shades, and clothing storage to help everyone settle in. Two full bathrooms - each with a bathtub, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer - mean mornings run smoothly even with a full house.
Kitchen & dining One of this cottage's most practical strengths is its two full kitchens. Whether the group is splitting up for a quiet breakfast or coming together for a proper dinner, there's room to make it work. Each kitchen is stocked with a refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, baking sheet, wine glasses, a coffee maker, and coffee - everything you need from the first cup of the day to the last glass of the night.
Living & entertainment The living area centers around a 45-inch HDTV with Netflix and streaming access - ideal for a low-key evening in. An Ethernet connection is available alongside Wi-Fi for those who need a reliable wired connection. The single-level layout makes the whole space easy to move through, and the private entrance adds a layer of independence that larger shared accommodations rarely offer.
Outdoor living The private patio is a genuine asset - a calm spot to decompress between outings, catch the morning air, or simply sit with a drink as the neighborhood comes alive. Free street parking is available nearby for guests arriving by car.
Families & little ones Traveling with young children? A pack 'n play/travel crib and a folding or convertible high chair are both available upon request, and babysitter recommendations can be provided to help parents enjoy a night out.
Laundry & essentials An in-unit free washer and dryer mean you can pack lighter and stay longer. Essentials are fully covered - towels, bed sheets, toilet paper, hangers, iron, cleaning products, and body soap are all provided.
Safety The property is equipped with exterior security cameras (present to prevent illegal over-occupancy and parties), a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.
The neighborhood Frenchmen Street - New Orleans' most celebrated live music strip - is steps from the front door. From here, local cafés, art galleries, and the French Quarter are all within easy walking distance. The Marigny strikes a balance that's hard to find: genuinely local and lively, without the full intensity of the Quarter. It's an ideal base for Mardi Gras, New Year's Eve, the Sugar Bowl, or any group looking to experience the city properly.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive and made the check-in process seamless. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

Thanks for the 5-star review! Glad the space was clean, comfortable, and that check-in and communication went smoothly. We’d love to host you again next time you’re in New Orleans.
We came to New Orleans from Minnesota for the Tall Ships and Fleet Week a didn’t want a typical hotel for our group of 6. This was the perfect place for us! Room for everyone, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and plenty of space to sit and relax after a long day in the heat. Check in was easy, host accommodated early check in as our flight times changed. Quick walk to the streetcar stops and easy pick ups for Uber into the city! Will definitely say again if we ever make our way back to the area!

Thank you so much,Lisa, what a wonderful reason to visit New Orleans!
So glad the space worked perfectly for your group and that we could accommodate the early check-in with your flight changes. The Tall Ships event was truly something special, and we are thrilled you got to experience it from such a great home base. Hope to see you back from Minnesota again soon!
Very nice, charming neighborhood, not to far from the action, very close to Lil Dizzy's (big plus)

Glad you enjoyed the charming neighborhood, being close to Lil Dizzy’s, and that the location kept you near the action. We’d love to host you again next time you're in NOLA.
Location was amazing, property was clean and comfortable. Check in was weird, lots of hoops to jump through (I thought the point of Vrbo was to avoid that). WiFi info was totally wrong and didn’t work for the first day. We were woken up by loud parties 3 nights in a row from 1-4am. Bring earplugs in case.
Great location that was convenient to French Quarter and Garden District. House was clean and in great repair. The only negative was thay the upstairs neighbors were definitely early risers and a bit enthusiastic...but we knew it was a two level when we rented so no surprises there. Would definitely stay again - communication was amazing and the family loved it!

Thanks for the review. Glad the location was convenient for the French Quarter and Garden District, and that the house was clean and in great repair. Appreciate the note about early-rising upstairs neighbours, glad that matched expectations for a two-level home. Happy communication, and that your family enjoyed the stay. We’d love to host you again.
Clean, updated home was a perfect base for exploring NOLA. We stayed over New Year’s so there were NYE fireworks and noticeable sirens due to the nearby hospital. But quieter than previous hotel stays during this time! Street parking is easy and the road newly paved, though nearby streets were in disrepair. Grocery stores a short drive away. We walked to the French Quarter and Superdome with no issues.

Thanks for the review. Glad the clean, updated home was a good base for exploring NOLA and that street parking and the newly paved road made things easy. Appreciate the note about NYE fireworks and nearby hospital sirens, and that it still felt quieter than hotel stays. Good to hear groceries were close and you could walk to the French Quarter and Superdome. We’d love to host you again.
Very nice and clean home. All attractions were a short distance away making entertainment very convenient. Quiet neighborhood. Overall great stay would definitely book again.
Nicely decorated large space, in a neighborhood about a mile from various iconic locations in New Orleans. Excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, and overall my friends and I had a wonderful time in the space and in and around the city.
Internet was a problem but everything else was very nice.

We appreciated the amenities, the close proximity to the trolley, and the brochures of NOLA attractions and restaurants. It was great that Michael responded so quickly to our questions.

Thank you for your feedback, Paula! We’re glad you enjoyed the amenities and found everything convenient. We look forward to hosting you again!
Other than receiving the incorrect code for the door lock (called and got the correct code) everything was as advertised. The place was very clean and with in 3 block of the street car line.
This property was perfect for our family of 4 (which includes two teenage daughters) on our non-traditional Christmas vacation. Location was close to the Street Cars or an Uber had in the French Quarter in less than 10 mins. The pictures and description of the property were accurate and everything was exactly as we expected. So much to do and see, we will definitely be back.

I experienced a little difficulty but that is mainly because I’m not the best at using technology sometimes.

Perfect Rental for safe, comfortable, clean Stay in NOLA
Four adults on first-time visit to wonderful historic New Orleans. Great location, easy access from I-10, super convenient access to RTA trolleys and bus. Quiet neighborhood, nice accommodations (Pro Tip: even though this is not a “party place” it needs a set of wine glasses.) ID verification/checkin process is a nightmare, worst we have ever had at any VRBO locations; otherwise would have rated this charming rental a 10/10 Five Star. Would definitely stay here again if we ever get opportunity to visit amazing NOLA again! Thanks!
Internet wasn’t working properly when I arrived. Was fixed within a hour. Not told till after I have arrived , that there was street construction on going in front of house. Parking was available on opposite side of street. Not in front which disappointed me. The home was beautiful inside. Bright and clean. The sink drain in the master bathroom needed to be clean out for proper drainage. That also was repaired within a hour after notifying home owner. The home owner was very accommodating and quick responding to my request. The repair items were minor, but it was items that I should not have had to report. The repairs were done on my time and I think should have been checked prior to rental. House keeping certainly would have notice the clogged bathroom drain. I would love to stay at this rental again, next time I am in the area. I payed rental for a week and only stayed 2 days, because my plans had change, not because of the house. Looking forward to next time.

Feels Like A Corporate Unit vs Home Away From Home
Admittedly I’m at the tail end of the baby boomer generation so we didn’t grow up with technology. It’s not my first rodeo using VRBO but there were technical difficulties making payment and submitting a background check form. When I asked the host for information about grocery stores in the area, I was sent a link with names of restaurants. It wasn’t what I asked for but I was able to find a WholeFoods on Google. I LOVED our location in the residential area of Treme because it was in walking distance to Congo Square, CBD and the street car to French Quarters. Having three bedrooms was perfect for us because we each had our own room. There were a few details like fridge water filter needed replacing, the towel rack in one of the bathrooms was dangling and a chair in one of the bedrooms was broken. The host sent someone right away but this should have been taken care before our arrival. I don’t know if the unit above us was a VRBO guest or a tenant renting. Saturday night he had a party and was playing music loudly. There is no insulation so we could hear everything. Again I reached out to the host and surprisingly I received a call, not a link, reassuring me it would not happen again. One of our travelers went home on Monday and two of us had reservations in a shotgun home (Garden District) I asked the our host if we could leave our luggage until 3pm. I was sent link on where I could store our luggage. Frustrating! The host at the shotgun house said no problem.
This ended up being an even more perfect choice than I initially thought! We booked the house several weeks before our trip, but then I broke my ankle rather badly and was worried about mobility. This house, in addition to being immaculately clean and just gorgeously appointed, was also about as handicap friendly as possible! And it was so close to the French Quarter I could make it on my knee scooter! 10/10 highly recommend!
