Wow, what a treat to be able to walk to the Fabulous Jennette's Pier w/NC Aquarium! "Wildest Dream" is a bright and cheery direct oceanfront cottage with wonderful ocean views and an incredible beach to bathe on endlessly! It's 20 yds from the beach nestled in a peaceful area, yet within minutes of just about everything! Plenty of parking. Guests say it's the best deal on the beach!

Furnished decks front and back are the spot to catch an early morning sunrise with a cup of coffee, a fiery sunset at dusk, or that big old' Carolina moon lighting up the ocean!

A jog on the beach, walk or bike ride on miles of access path will prove pleasing to all. Surf fish in front of the cottage or fish for dinner with the kids on the nearby piers. Take advantage of the world class marinas and fishing charters. Bodie Island Lighthouse, Jockeys Ridge National Park, historic quaint Manteo, the fabulous Aquarium, and Roanoke Island are all close by! There is hang-gliding, outlet shopping, go-carts, putt-putt, movies, live theater, ferry riding, arcades, fabulous restaurants, kayaking, deep sea fishing, and just about any water sport you want! Remember it's the "Graveyard of the Atlantic"...lots of shipwrecks to dive!

Wildest Dream was a dream- beautiful

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great.. the driveway was small and parking tight. House had everything we needed. Customer service was quick with one small problem. Our daughter got engaged just behind house on beach, which is a beautiful area, mainly families and very peaceful. We would certainly suggest this house to anyone. We went. Go- carting, Putt Putt, Jeanette pier is short walk, shopping close, and we chatted a fishing trip. Great week!

Great Vacation at Wildest Dream

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at this home with plenty of room and beach access. The house is in a great location especially if you have children/teens, close to restaurants and lots of fun things to do in area. We did have an issue with the cable/internet (due to a storm the night before). Beach Realty maintenance was very responsive, stopped by the next day and made sure the local cable provider was fixing the problem. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The only thing I would note is that you could not see the beach area from the deck, due to the level of the deck and the dunes. Other than that, the house was perfect for us!

Week at Wildest Dream not as expected based on past experience

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting this house each year since 2012 and it has fit our needs perfectly. That is, until this year. We arrived to find a strong odor in the lower level. Sheets were left on some of the beds. Other sheets were piled on top of the dryer. The floors did not appear to have been swept or vacuumed; at least one of the bedrooms had dust, sand and hair on the floor. It appeared that the house had not been cleaned even though we were notified that it was ready to be occupied. I tried to report these issues on Monday and no one ever answered the phone. I left a voicemail but no one ever called back. We have had nothing but good experiences with this house and with this agency in the past but this house was in the worst condition of any house we have occupied since our first trip to OBX in 1998. This will be our last year at this house. I doubt the owners will ever see this review but they need to know.

Family 2022 Vaction

The property was perfect for our family vacation. I paid for the linen package. When we arrived the beds were not made and no towels were in the bathrooms. When contacted the the management company night of arrival, they could not get a house keeper until 8 PM. We had to look for the laundered sheets and towels, they were found in a bag near the entry door, packets of sheets were not labeled as to size. We had look for the mattress pads and bed spreads to make the beds. Several beds did not have mattress pads. The promised welcome bag with local information was not found. We appreciated the emails reminding to put out the trash and reviewing the check out proceedures.

Fantastic Location, Needs Maintenance

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wildest Dream 10/10-17/2021.Pros: Fantastic location. Right on the beach, no nearby hotels to block your view. Close to restaurants. Well-equipped kitchen, smart TVs, nice large dining table with plenty of chairs, chairs and rockers on the deck as well as two benches and a picnic table. Nice deck with a hose to rinse off sand. Side access to the dune from the walkway as well as going down to the end of the walkway. The A/C for the two lower floors is great. Bed mattresses are comfortable.Cons: The threshold of the door to the deck is deteriorated and water leaks in, making the carpet at the door always wet, leading to a musty smell in the house. There is a window sash/sill issue with the window in the dining area that is stuffed with plastic wrap to keep water/air out. The top floor does not get as much cooling as the lower levels. It was significantly warmer upstairs where the master bedroom is located. To sum up: If the maintenance issues were addressed, we'd come back. Loved the location!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our whole family including 79 & 80 year old parents visited mid Sept. The elevator, 2nd floor bedroom, and huge bath made for those with mobility issues was perfect. They could mostly get to the beach with a little assist on the sandy small hill. This house has everything you will need in the kitchen, baby supplies, games, books, even rafts and boogie boards. I could have saved space packing so my advice is trust they have it. The Whalebone Seafood market is very close and has steamed meals to carryout as well. Location perfect, beach access amazing. Home is a bit older but that was fine for us at the price to be right on the beach.

Reviewer Comments: My family had a very relaxing vacation week staying in the Wildest Dream house.The house is right on the beach 50 yards to ocean.I would recommend it to has plenty of room for the family.Two bunk beds on the bottom floor for the kids.The next floor up is a bedroom, kitchen and living room.The top floor has three bedrooms.Great lay out for a family with kids.Thanks for a great week in Nags Head.

Reviewer Comments: This cottage has a great location - beachfront and within walking distance to Jeannette’s Pier, and the fact it’s handicapped accessible with an elevator, handicapped accessible main floor bathroom, and boardwalk directly to beach, all members of our family were able to enjoy the vacation. The cottage bedrooms are also nicely decorated (new curtains, bedspreads, etc) and has a downstairs for the teens equipped with bunk beds, air hockey and NBA arcade game. The deck and the large outdoor table were also very nice.We were disappointed in the cleanliness as it was so dirty that we had to have it recleaned upon arrival. It’s also in need of some tender loving care. Screens were off windows, water leak damage to ceilings, and worn floors and carpet. With a thorough clean and some needed maintenance this place could be perfect!! Despite the problems with the cleanliness at first, we had a great trip and would stay again. The location can’t be beat and if you’re traveling with someone with a disability, this house is perfect.

The elevator was a plus, and plenty of books, games to read and play. Air hockey and the arcade machine where a plus. I would give it 5 star review except the house was dirty, which is unfortunate. I understand sand being in the house and in the corners, etc. The house needs a good deep cleaning by a quality cleaning crew, stains on the wall, hair on wall of the shower, top of the refrigerator and the air conditioning vents are covered in a heavy layer of dust and dirt. Overall the house is great, cleaning crew could do better. Location is 5 stars

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1 1/2 hours before check in I was told that they wanted to schedule a maintenance call for the next day. I asked what was wrong and they said the elevator and TV weren't working. WELL I needed the elevator for my handicapped relative. I told the company that the elevator was a necessity and she said she would call me back - she never did. I got to the rental unit and the elevator was broken! I then called and they transferred me to the maintenance area - which thought I was the owner! They finally put me in touch with the owner - who by the way was terrific! He made arrangements to get elevator fixed by that evening and one of my family members fixed the TV also. House needs a little TLC - it is an older unit - some cracking of the ceiling in the kitchen and what appears to be some mildew in the kitchen windows but overall the unit is okay - we would stay again. The only thing I really didn't like was that there are so many houses crammed behind the unit it feels really tight. There are 2 units behind the house which really take away from it. So basically 3 houses on one lot. Parking is a little tight as well.

Beware inaccurate description

Reservation was made specifically for this house due to advertised amenity of an elevator and a hot tube. The hot tube was non existent and the elevator did not work. A tech did come and check it out 3 days later it worked twice then stopped working. I have a dislocated knee wearing a brace and this was the sole reason for picking this house so extremely disappointed. The master bathroom image on VRBO should clearly outline a shower IS NOT part of this full bathroom count. It’s just a jacuzzi and a toilet. Drains in both restrooms upstairs slowly drain so we’re showering up to our ankles in sitting water. The first 3 days rained continuously and completely saturated the entrance interior carpet and left a water stain. You can see the wood rotting and black mold around windows and doors. For 3 rainy days we couldn’t even watch TV would suggest universal controls that actually have charged batteries. We fumbled around with 4 controllers in living room that’s insane. Overall just was not impressed, this home needs some major work and the beds were horrible to sleep in. I don’t believe touch point cleaning was done, the remote controls were sticky/grimy.
