¡Damos la bienvenida a "Sun Rayes" como una de nuestras casas de vacaciones más nuevas! ¿Qué tiene para ofrecer esta fabulosa casa? La pregunta es: ¿qué no ofrece? Con 4 dormitorios, 3 baños, 3 pisos (con ascensor), una sala de juegos (ping pong, mesa de billar, tablero de dardos, lanzamiento de anillos) y amplias cubiertas: ¡hay espacio para todos! Ubicado en un canal en la popular comunidad de Captain's Cove, tiene acceso a una rampa para botes y puede atracar su bote justo afuera de su puerta. También es perfecto para pescar, pescar cangrejos, kayaks, etc. Sun Rayes está lleno de diversión: hay muchos espacios excelentes para entretenerse y relajarse. ¡La comunidad de Captain's Cove ofrece 3 piscinas (2 al aire libre y 1 cubierta), tiki bar, Marina Club y restaurante, campo de golf de 9 hoyos, parque infantil, parque para perros y más! Y estás a solo 20 minutos de Chincoteague & Assateague Islands (la playa), y a 30 minutos de Ocean City, MD (paseo marítimo y atracciones). Sun Rayes admite mascotas (solo perros, límite de 2 por estadía), ¡así que traiga a su familiar peludo!

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday - the house was amazing! Kitchen was well-stocked with serving dishes, pans etc. for entertaining a crowd. Loved the fireplace and the game room downstairs! Coastal vacations was great as wel!. They responded quickly to one issue we had and were super friendly! A pleasure to deal with. So glad this house was pet friendly - thank you! Only suggestions for improvement: ice machine/water dispenser on fridge does not work- not a big deal for us but would have appreciated some plastic ice trays. Second oven doesn’t work either- wasn’t counting on it so not a problem but might be for someoneLastly the full mattress on the 3rd floor bunk bed was pretty awful. Lumpy and bed creaked. Other beds were great! Overall great place! Would love to visit in the summer!!

amazing location with a beautiful view and house was very clean and host was responsive. House had a great dock and game room. Would definitely stay in this area again but maybe a different home. The house only had 3 rolls of toilet paper total for 6 guests staying for a week, no paper towels at all, and we had to put the linens on the bed and they were pretty low quality linens and pillows. Since the house is a bit of a drive from resources this was a little frustrating and for the price, would expect to see some basic items stocked and some better basic items.

Great vacation home

This was our 2nd time staying in this home. It's so spacious and has amazing views. We loved that we were able to bring our dog, as well.

Offseason a wonderful quiet spot to soak up the water

We were there over the Thanksgiving holiday so the area was very quiet and an ideal spot to soak up the wonderful views of the water. We also went over to Assateague and Chincoteague Islands for wonderful sunsets, birds, and wild ponies. An ideal getaway.

Despite hurricane Ian, our trip was a blast!

The location surprised me - there really is not much around. The closest town is Chincoteague, and that's a good 20 minutes away. Being there during the hurricane...we were even more limited. But it didn't matter. We absolutely LOVED having the games in the basement. I finally got okay at pool. LOL But seriously, my husband and I had a blast playing against each other. The kids played a game...but they kinda gave up on it before it was over. Ha! The place was cute and perfect for us - my SIL and her three girls, my husband and me. Highly recommend, especially for families with kids (because the loft is pretty cool!)

Great Bay wildlife, lovely house, poor internet

The house is comfortable and spacious. The rental company is courteous and helpful. The internet service is very poor, unable to watch a movie for example. The community is very friendly and fun with two places to eat and two pools.

Captains Cove

The guidelines of the community were a bit demanding but our stay was wonderful. We had to travel 35 min to the beach but again it was wonderful.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely, great lay out and very clean. The elevator was a big plus with suitcases. We were able to crab off the back dock. Nice rental. Only negative is that it is a bit of a drive to the beach.

Luxury price but not luxury amenities

Spectacular views and space for everyone, but read ALL of the reviews on here and pack accordingly. It needs someone to care for it, upgrade appliances and just repair things correctly, not cheaply. I brought my own knives, can opener - yes there is one, but it's dollar store quality that barely works. The lower level was barely usable due to the amount of flies down there - I'm suspecting the locked owners area was the source. Owner does not pay for the curbside garbage service that the rest of the neighbors use. You will be expected to take it, sorted, to the city dump. I was not prepared or adequately equipped as only one small bin, is provided.

Renting was very easy & laid back. Questions were answered quickly. Contactless check-in was effortless & a timesaver. Loved the property. There was so much space inside & out. Loved the water views!

July 2021 Stay

We loved our vacation at Sun Rayes! The location is beautiful and the house was perfect for our family. We were able to dock our boat in the canal right in front of the house which was great! We enjoy playing pool and spent a lot of evenings in the game room. We went to the pool and enjoyed the restaurants in the community. We made two trips to the beach which was only a 20 minute drive from Captain's Cove. We had a few things that needed attention in the house and everything was taken care of in just a few short hours. The service was amazing. We recently purchased a lot in Captain's Cove and wanted to make sure this was the right place for us. Thanks to this vacation experience, we know this is where we want to live. I highly recommend booking your next vacation at Sun Rayes!

April 2021 Stay

Great location on the water for the price! We were looking forward to playing pool in the basement but there weren’t any pool balls and only two darts. Also the fireplace didn’t work and the mattress in the master bedroom was hard as a rock. Otherwise it was very clean and the neighborhood was very quiet.

we had a very nice stay. The house was very nice and the elevator was quite handy for hauling everything in or out. We had wonderful weather and made a trip to the islands and to Ocean City. However for the price of the rental we should not be required to bring our own linens which include towels and sheets for all of the beds or purchase a linen pkg which we did. The last thing you want to do after a long drive is to sort out sheets and make all the beds. There was a small trash can provided outside. We were instructed that any access trash had to be taken 10 min away to a land fill site because the community didn't have trash pick up. Friday morning Davis Disposal came through and emptied all trash cans around us but not ours. Very good vacation however there are some things that need to be corrected.

Great time had by all!

We used this location for a family trip and had a great time! Reminder to future guests- be sure to shut the door to the elevator when you exit it. We had it get stuck on a different for a few times. Haha.

Beautiful views

This house has beautiful views and the Captains Cove neighborhood is lovely. We visited in winter so it wasn’t busy. It was about 25 minutes to Chincoteague/Assateague where we saw the horses, light house, and beach. The house has an elevator which is tricky to work. Would be really nice to have more instructions for it posted. Finally figured it out but without it you have to go outside to get to the game room. However most houses don’t have this at all. It was awesome to have a pool table, ping pong, and darts.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Overall enjoyed the time at the Sun Rayes house. Very nice views from each angle of the house. Beds were all comfortable and shown just as in photos. Open concept floor plan was perfect for a family, holiday getaway. Extremely impressed with the channels provided through the dish network. Most rentals have base packages, this home seemed to have every available channel offered. Negatives: arrived at house to discover the elevator was not in working order. House had been selected for this sole purpose since an elderly person and disabled person would be staying. This was very disappointing since those members had to be contained to the 1st floor only and couldn't go up and down the stairs to the lower level. (There is only outside access to get to the lower level game area - no internal staircase down to the bottom level.) Upon arrival, purchased Linen package was also not delivered and did not arrive until 7 pm. Arrival was day before Thanksgiving and offices were already closed at 4 pm check in time. Had to call the emergency line for assistance in these matters, and property management was extremely quick to respond and assist as best they could. I take previous reviews with a grain of salt, but don't ignore the main level bathroom comments or the can opener comments. The bathroom does not flush properly in the main bath (which had been in reviews back in July 2021) - the females actually had to use different bathrooms within the house during the entire stay. The Kitchen stock really needs to be updated. Silverware is worse than dollar store quality. 2 seperate individuals had forks break while in their mouths and the can opener is beyond not working. Again, this part seems silly, but try making a Thanksgiving meal with 3 people, scissors, knives, and a pair of plyers to get a can open. (At least it will be a funny story for years to come). Recommendation: There should be some sort of guest binder at the house providing information for the stay. Examples would be, instructions on how to use elevator and fireplace. Also, trash information should be informed more clearly. There was only one trash can and was already half full upon arrival. We had to end up taking trash home with us due to not having extra cans available. I hate sounding negative within the review, but there really could be some small things done within the house to make a much better experience.

Simply Beautiful!

Home was as shown and gorgeous. Elevator was a huge plus due to elderly family members in my group. Location is excellent and the nearby marina restaurant/indoor pool were right on time. Will definitely stay again for a longer time! Thank you for allowing my family and I to enjoy your beautiful home.
