Loved the wrap around deck the most with the view of the lake. The easy access to the lake was also a huge plus. Enjoyed games and movies with the fam in the open concept living room kitchen in the evenings.

House was amazing! Loved the view and being right on the lake. Our stay was short just in town for the weekend. We needed sleeping arrangements for 12 and minimum of two bath. Sadly we were unable to use the fireplace’s, there was one in basement and upstairs. Heat was set in low 60’s when we arrived and temps outside had dropped. We contacted the owner and was able to get the heat upstairs to eventually warm up but our guests in the basement ended up sleeping on the living room floor the second night as they were freezing. The pull out sofa bed in the basement was broke and unusable. The Ice maker had nasty stuff in it, but luckily I brought a bag of ice so we wouldn’t recommend using the ice maker. Guests said the tap water tasted like the lake. Grandkids loved the Jacuzzi tub and the bedrooms upstairs accommodated everyone comfortably. I made a huge breakfast for everyone and found the kitchen to be adequately supplied with enough dishes, utensils etc. only a couple things I was missing, whisk for mixing/whipping, oil - found some Pam spray next day. We were short on Bath towels and had to wash/dry some to have enough for everyone the second day. House was clean and lovely. Overall I would recommend this place, owners were quick to respond to questions via text-phone! Love the house!!!

Communication was easy and quick. The host was responsive and clear about instructions and expectations. The little ones made some lovely memories of the lake at dawn, making s'mores in the firepit, and craning their necks to look at stars at night. There was ample space for all nine of us to both congregate and find some alone time.

Nice, clean, comfortable home on Lake with plenty of outdoor space for visiting or just having a quiet moment! Beautiful views and we took full advantage of fire pit and dock. Perfect for our families weekend getaway! Host/hostess were very responsive ahead of and during our stay. We plan to come back!!!

We had an amazing time staying at this property. It was a convenient location for some guests who’d never visited the lake, lots of easy parking, the setup indoors was exactly as described, and we had a gorgeous weekend on the water swimming and using the kayaks. Having coffee on the deck looking out at the view was my personal favorite. The hospitality of Jeff and Heather is unsurpassed!

This place was great. Definitely recommend! Lots of space to sleep, plenty of gathering space indoor and outdoor, an awesome boat dock, and has all necessities you may need during your stay.

Girls trip

Awesome super clean and had wonderful updates of a new railing and outdoor furniture. Baby deer were eating in the backyard. Host helped us with our briken car that we got fixed

Everyone loved staying on lake of Egypt. Beautiful property and just a quick drive to Garden of the Gods. Great fishing too!

Dad and sons trip

Great place, great kitchen, beds, rooms and Nice! Bathrooms.Found Kurig in corner cabinet so look for it and bring K- cups.Parking Truck and 20 ft trailer right out front, easy! Other car spaces for parking as well. Covered Boat dock fit my 20 ft boat well. Caught lots of BIG Crappie and several 2 to 3 LB. large mouth Bass. PLACE IS CLEAN and lots of towels and dishes, pans etc.Fun place and Lake of Egypt is very safe and smooth CLEAR water. Boat launch was close to location, Pyramid Marina 7 to launch and park daily. Macks was 10 and closed Monday and Tues so went to Pyramid. Also Pyramid had great Pizza.Overall all was great. Jeff is a great Host!

Visiting for graduation weekend

Nice getaway

Nice, clean and well kept property. We stayed when there was a Bass Tournament, early morning wake up from the boat traffic but to be expected being that close to the lake. All in all a nice location with really nice views! Thank you

We thoroughly enjoy our time here, and we wanted to give other people the experience of lake life and encourage their inner adventurer to explore all that beautiful Southern Illinois has to offer. Fishing, boating, swimming, camp fires, wineries, hiking and most importantly, relaxation await you.

BEST view of the lake with easy access to the ski area and two deep water boat slips. Well-maintained lake front property on Lake of Egypt. Watch the boats from the covered deck surrounded by the shade of mature trees. Enjoy the lake with a two boat slip covered dock. Fish and swim right off your dock. In the evening, roast some marshmallows in the fire pit with an amazing view of the lake.

Inside, enjoy a huge screened in lower porch and walk out upper level deck. The upstairs offers a gas fireplace and open/eat in kitchen. The property boasts a whopping 185 feet of rip/rap shoreline. Experience lake life at its finest as you relax and enjoy the fantastic views from your deck or screened in porch. Three marinas service the lake, with live entertainment weekly for you to drop anchor and enjoy. Located near the wine trails and several state parks, it truly is a vacationer's dream. Come see the view and experience the fishing, swimming, boating, and relaxing in this awesome home.

There are two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, one bedroom with a twin/full bunk bed and a trundle. There is a non-private queen-size bed in the lower level and several spots perfect for napping and relaxing. Air mattresses are welcome (but please do not exceed 10 people).

Did I mention the great view?! Whether sitting on the upper or lower deck, dock, by the fire pit or in the open living area, the relaxing views are worth it .

My favorite part beside the view is the great fishing! Large mouth bass, catfish, bluegill and especially crappie are found in Lake of Egypt. Crab Orchard, Cedar, and Little Grassy lakes hold the same species. Kincaid lake has muskies, and Devils Kitchen has rainbow trout. This area has a bit of everything for the fisherman in you.

I like to enjoy my morning coffee in the sun room and a local glass or two of wine or beer on the porch in the evenings. We love to take slow evening cruises in the pontoon to see music or get some food at one of the marinas.

Our kiddo loves to swim and look for clams and fish during the day and making s'mores on the campfire at night. Kayaking and swimming off the dock are also high on his list.
