Cozy Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cozy, welcoming, warm cabin! The location was perfect and the creek was soothing to listen to. Speaking of the creek, it has HUGE rainbow trout! Deer crossed it every morning and night and it was beautiful. We traveled with a toddler and with a few minor adjustments (toddler proofing) the area was perfect for a small one.

4 night stay at Rapid Creek

What a peaceful and relaxing stay we had. The time on the deck, listening to the river and enjoying the views, was wonderful. The cabin was clean and well appointed. We found that we had no cell service so if that would be an issue for you (it wasn’t for us) T-Mobile customers be aware. All in all, thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay.

Great place for a peaceful visit

The cabin was very clean and well kept, and had everything needed as far as supplies, towels, sheets, etc. The king bed was very comfortable. I could sit on that lovely deck and listen to the running water all day.

Beautiful scenery and deck view

We enjoyed our stay at the Creekside cabin despite less than perfect weather! The view from the deck overlooking the stream was beautiful and I enjoyed it, albeit wrapped in a blanket! The property was very clean and the directions left by the owner were well written and clear. It was very quiet, but a little farther from Rapid City and the Black Hills tourist spots than we anticipated.

Boy oh boy where do I even begin

Checking in process was super easy and the land owner was very helpful with any questions. Tons of amenities were at the house. And don't even get me started on the flume!

So Relaxing!

We absolutely loved the cabin! My husband and I enjoyed the sounds of the river flowing beside the cabin, and many days there were up to 10 deer on the property. Very relaxing and comfortable. It was also very convenient to all the beautiful places we wanted to see. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful Spring Break

We wanted to enjoy sometime in SD without all the tourists. This was a great time. House was spectacular. Wonderful for our family. No wifi, but tons of games and DVD’s to use when we weren’t out visiting any of the towns. Close enough to town but away from all the commotion.

Time with Family at a WONDERFUL Cabin!

This is a wonderful cabin in a perfect location! The cabin is spacious and accommodating. It caters to the outside enthusiasts! The river is right outside the door, a sweet gazebo is in the meadow by the river ready for you to have meals or just relax! The grounds are immaculate and beautiful! The inside has all that you will need plus more! The beds are super comfy with great soft cozy bedding! The owner is incredible, answering our text message questions and even letting us borrow a lake fishing rod! We LOVED our stay and highly recommend it!! Jayne

Anniversary Retreat!

So many amazing things I could say about our stay! We will absolutely be back to the cabin in future years. The hosts were sure to recommend local events and were quick to respond to our questions about the construction happening at Pactola Lake. We loved spending time on the porch listening to the river and when it got cooler, moving inside to the wood stove. Very little service was such a blessing to be able to truly relax and connect on our 1 year anniversary of marriage! Close enough to Rapid that we were able to go in for lunches at our favorite places, but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin has just about everything you could ever need in case you forget something. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us, truly such a beautiful place!

The stay was miserable

The owners didnt even know the rules. It stated only 4 ppl to stay could have visitors up to 6 ppl. The neighbor called everytime we pulled in. Which only 4 stayed but had a friend come during the day. Beautiful place but only if you have 4 ppl no one else. Which again was stated in the hand book we could. Only there for 2 days and was absolutely the worst place and neighbors you could ever have. Sad part we slept there and ate 2 meals. Only to leave as soon as we could so the phone calls would stop. Bt unfortunately they continued threw the whole day. Wish i could send the rules of the place so you would be able to see it.

We so enjoyed our stay! The porch was wonderful! We watched deer every day! And slept every night with the window open listening to the song of the river! I wish there had been a bathroom downstairs for those midnight have to go times. But it wasn’t a deal breaker and we would definitely rent this unique cabin again!

Great location as well as accommodations!

Overall great cabin for our group while in Sturgis. The cabin was clean and the owner was responsive to any questions we had. The cabin backs up to a running stream which was awesome! The cabin comes with fishing rods which we used once and caught a small trout. Would consider renting again for future trips to SD.

Beautiful Home Base!

This home fit us great! We had 3 adults and 1 infant. Location is great, pretty close to Rapid City and close to some awesome short hikes as well. No WiFi, but they do have a nice dvd selection, and the property manager got us a new one when we were having issues. Overall recommend!

The perfect cabin

This gem has everything you could possibly want. The location is amazing, views breathtaking, the cabin has everything you could possibly need and more. The owner was so quick to respond to my questions, even though when I looked further into the welcome folder the answers were already there. I can’t say enough good things about this gem on the river!

Great Getaway

We could not have picked a better spot for a White Christmas vacation. The cabin was clean, quaint, cozy and in a great location. It allowed us visit attractions such as Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, and take a train ride in Hill City. We also had a blast driving a UTV from D&K rentals in the nearby town of Nemo. We hiked through the back of the property where our kids spent many hours at “Fort Hammerquist” (a clubhouse built by the owners). There was still plenty of time to rest next to a fire and enjoy much needed downtime with great views and the soothing sound of the river. The owners responded quickly to any of our questions or needs. This cabin exceeded our expectations. We could have stayed at the cabin alone and it would have been worth the trip.
