Spacious and Secluded, The Suenaga Suite

What guests most love about our property and one of the main reasons we get repeat bookings is the great location. While many holiday lets in Wentworth Falls are located near either the The Falls or Conservation Hut or right in town, this property is between both and also backs directly onto the famed Charles Darwin walk which takes you along the creek that becomes the Wentworth Falls and is a beautiful walk. So it`s an easy 10 minute walk to town and a really pleasant half hour walk to the Wentworth Falls while also offering quick access to the highway ( a 2 minute drive ) without the highway noise ( its in a really quiet street ). It`s actually really quite feasible to catch the train up ( as quite a few of our guests do ) to stay at the property and just enjoy the famous local walks on offer as well as walk down to the lake for a picnic and enjoy what the local village has to offer on the way with its interesting shops and cafe`s.
Guests also like that it offers plenty of space, has everything you need, is easy to check in and so you will hopefully find yourself relaxing within minutes.......
It`s the largest of 3 holiday let units located within a large semi-historic local landmark building that sits on one acre of land in a forgotten part of Wentworth falls. It is sited within a lovely spacious garden that has a naturally restful ambience and offers a lot of space to fully relax and unwind.
Guests love the features: A full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, full size fridge, etc and bathroom with separate bath and shower, and a full laundry all included which makes it ideal for longer stays as well....... Really cosy in winter with it`s wafty, warm central heating and north facing aspect and comfy lounges.
Off street driveway parking with private access, self check in/check out and good WiFi help make your stay easy and comfortable from the get go, allowing you more time to make the most of your holiday in the mountains.
We don`t offer breakfast, hampers, free wine, etc as we assume our guests know how to look after themselves in that regard...... What we do offer is just a really nice, clean, comfortable and characterful space in a great location so that you may thoroughly enjoy everything that`s great about the wonderful Blue Mountains.
FYI, the Suenaga Suite is located in the same property as the Origami Apartment and the Haiku Hut in case you want to sync up your stay with another couple/s or friends.

We had a fantastic long weekend. Luke the host provided great instructions and information on things to do in the area, along with details on local cafes and restaurants. The accommodation was excellent and in a great location. Would definitely visit again.

Great property with everything you could need, and easy access to bushwalks and village. Lovely zen-ish garden. Note hosts comment about neighbour’s construction works - if you’re looking for midweek-day peace and quiet maybe skip this one for now. If you’ll be out and about, or coming on weekend, it shouldn’t bother you. I’ll come again.

Retro ambiance with all the comfort you need

The apartment is spacious and well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Although Wentworth Falls is located near the busy A32, this suite is tucked far enough away to offer peace and quiet. The owner is communicative and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing Stay

This property was in a great position, we loved the way you can walk down the path in the back yard onto the Charles Darwin track to the Falls. The little courtyard was also a nice touch.

Absolutely Fabulous!

We loved our stay in the Suenaga Suite. We were amazed at how spacious it was. So much room to relax in, with everything that you could possibly need.We loved the cool mid-century modern/Japanese vibe of the decor, and the interesting furnishings.The huge bath was very muchly appreciated, as were the thoughtful extra touches like air freshener, cooking oil, ziplock bags, alfoil, etc.We also really enjoyed reading about the history of the propery. What stories these walls could tell.We would highly recommend staying here. Thanks very much for a lovely stay.A real home away from home.

A great place to stay

This is a really comfortable place, with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom/laundry. We loved the central heating and also made full use of the gorgeous bathtub.

Property was comfortable and spacious and very clean. It was well maintained and the retro decor with a touch of Japanese was special. Bed was comfortable and the property was warm and cosy. Wentworth Falls village was a great area to explore and eat. Loved our stay.

Excellent Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Suenaga Suite! Lovely and spacious, warm, inviting and we made great use of the well-stocked kitchen. The bath was also a definite highlight. Communication was easy and thorough, great location and set on a beautiful property. Would definitely stay again.

Great base for Blue Mountains

This was a great base for us to explore the Blue Mountains! Loved all the retro furnishings. Easy to get to Leura and Katoomba. Jenolan Caves was well worth the drive too. Check-in guide has great recommendations for coffee and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay to explore the blue mountains

The place was spacious, clean, tidy and also the Japanese inspired decorations are nice and unique. Surrounding was quiet. Kitchen was fully equipped. It is within walking distance to train station and shops. Also it is only around 10-15 min drive away from Katoomba. Will definitely try to book again if I am going to Blue Mountain next time!

I am an owner builder, renovator with a history of successful holiday let properties here in the Blue mountains and on the South Coast of NSW. I enjoy having guests from all walks of life stay at this property as it is such a unique experience and a great place from which to enjoy what the Blue Mountains has to offer.

When me and my partner purchased this property we soon realized it was too large for just us so we have decided to let out parts of it for holiday stays.
Originally built as a large estate with stables called "Caringa" in 1910. It was designed by renowned Architect George Sydney Jones ( son of retailer the famous David Jones ). After WW1 it became a respite hospital in 1919 "Shalvah" and then later a nursing home named "Grosvenor" from 1964 till closing in 1993 ( this name is still registered with Google maps and comes up when searching the address ).
With this sense of history it is a truly unique property and is located conveniently close to town with easy level access to a lovely street front for parking, yet it is also located in one of the quietest streets of Wentworth Falls, and being on a large block there are no neighbours immediately close by.
Facing north to the sun and with good central heating you will never be cold during the winter and is light and breezy in the warmer months with a nice outdoor seating areas in the restored fully landscaped garden.
All this makes for a really pleasant and relaxing stay experience.
