I rented this VRBO for my elderly parents who have mobility issues. The house itself was fine and was easy enough for them to navigate, but the winding one way road used to access it was difficult for them, especially at night. Next time I will be sure to ask questions about the external environment and access before renting a place.

We found the property easily, it was as described on the site. It was clean and tidy. The owners were very easy to work with and answered our questions promptly. We really enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were clean but not well put together. It looked like someone just rushed to put everything together. It was uncomfortable for 2 tall people. The beds were not firm nor was the couch. The outside seating was not comfortable either. The tv was not working well nor was the air. The road is extremely loud, and the noise machine wasn't working so we just delt with it. No cooking essentials so that made unnecessary extra trips to the grocery store. The road to get to this house is on a 1-way road!!!! At night, it is absolutely terrible with no lights on the streets. There was no communication with the owners, even when they saw us sitting on the front porch. We will not be back to this location.

Beautiful little getaway

Spent the weekend here with my family and the property didn’t disappoint. Once we figured out the AC/Heat unit it was very comfortable and relaxing. Yea the property sits on the Hwy but don’t let that steer you away as it is not loud at all!! The host lives on property in another unit but that was never an issue, it is very quiet and peaceful here. I highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to visit the area and you’re only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we look forward to renting the property again in the future!!!

The inside is quite lovely

The inside of the property was just as the photos showed. There were only a few differences and the differences were for the better. The inside of the home was clean and decorated quite nicely. As far as the exterior of the property, the vegetation was over grown, there was not a grill on the outside of the property (like the photos show), the yard had things strewn about (cinder blocks, old fencing/decking, propane tank) and there is a steep incline coming into the parking area. The home worked fine for the two days we were there.

The property itself is okay. It's a small building in the backyard of a home. Behind it is a four lane highway that is roughly 75 yards away, and quite loud. Next to it, is a neighboring yard with a large dirt pit and various debris, an abandoned trailer, etc. That said, the home itself is nicely decorated and well cared for. One issue we did have was the heater. There are three ceiling mounted units (one in the living room and one in each bedroom). You need to use the remote control to turn each one on and then set the temp. Our issue was that they kicked on and began working/heating but when we left and came back they were no longer on (set at 72 degrees). It was so cold inside. We tried using the remote again but this time none of them would begin warming the house. The lights on the units indicated they were on, but nothing. We would have called for help but...When we were headed to the home the first night, we had not received the passcode for the door. We left three or four messages for the owners but never received a single response. Finally, we used the provided number and called and worked our way through to the company representative that is paid to provide this service for the owners (who live maybe 30 yards away, right in front of this property). Once the issue with the heater emerged, we had no way of getting any help. It was 10:30 at night. We put extra blankets on the beds and were okay. Still, waking up to a cold house isn't the greatest.

Visiting the kids

The location of this property was ideal for our trip. It was 15 minutes from our son’s house. A very compact property but perfect for two people. It had a very functional kitchen with like new appliances. The bedrooms are tight but have large closets with plenty of hangers. The only drawback to this property was finding it, especially in the dark. I recommend going to a map program and look at an aerial view of the address. The unit is just past the main house. I had very little interaction with the owner as everything was as advertised. I will consider this property again for future trips.

Weaverville Stay

The place was very clean & accommodating & very pretty inside. We had trouble locating the property. They need signage since there are so many roads going in different directions. Even a road map locator would help. With our visit we were not able to make contact with owners so we mentioned giving a backup number for visitors when they are out of town. They did include in each bedroom background sound devices which was excellent as this property does back up to a roadway. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need for longer stays. Pretty area just need signage to property.

Definitely a great spot - the house was clean, up to date and offered a unique layout of a house. ONLY downside is the confusing road leading to it, but even that was bearable! Would definitely book again!

Very nice bungalow

This little house was clean and modern, just perfect for 2-4 people. I stayed there with my daughter and her husband for a wedding in Weaverville. It was within 15 minutes of the venue and had everything we needed to cook a small meal or two. The shower was really nice with 3 shower heads to choose from. I liked having the owner so close, but we did not need a thing during our visit. We really injoyed our stay!

My husband and daughter stayed at this home. Sherrie was kind and communicative. The home was well equipped for cooking. It is a little tricky to park down the mountain, but we managed with a Jeep.

Cozy Stay

Our stay was good. The home was a perfect fit for my daughter & I for a long weekend getaway. I don’t think more than two people would fit comfortably in the cozy home. We explored Weaverville, Asheville & hiked Blue Ridge. For the most part the accommodations were good and located easy enough to get to our destinations.

Not what I expected

First off the drive to the place was awful. It was a goat path. Parking for my Ford Expedition was not good. The picture of the parking space was not true to size. The highway was very close and noisy. The night we got there the TV broke also. Now I had tried to get in touch with the owner many times before I booked to ask questions, no answer to 3 emails. I finally contacted evolve , but they had no luck either. At that point I had no choice I had to book or have no place to stay. Now for the inside of the house : It was nice. The kitchen and living room were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom sink was a little small with no vanity, but the shower was large. The beds looked comfortable, but the rooms were small. When we got there and couldn't find the place, the owner did answer the phone and direct me on how to find the place. Now . just to let you know that I'm not some city slicker that can't drive. I live 1 1/2 miles off a dirt road in the middle of 50 acres, soooo the driveway is awful. We didn't stay . We left that night and drove 11 hours back home.

We enjoyed our stay at the little house. My only negative comment would be that if you rent it in the winter and there is snow it would be very challenging to get to. Very steep and windy road to get to the house. Everything else was great!

Great Little VRBO

Great little place to stay while enjoying all there is to offer in the surrounding areas. Very clean and has a well equipped kitchen. We had no issues finding using WAZE. We were worried about road noise after reading reviews, but both rooms had sound machines and we had no issues at all. Thanks for a great weekend!
