The location was great and a clean house. The kitchen supplies were not fantastic or drawer space in the rooms but we made it work.

Great beachfront property!

Our group of friends really enjoyed our stay for the 4th of July holiday weekend. The house was in a great location, with easy, direct beach access. The house was spacious and well-appointed.

We had the best time in this beautiful home! Perfect location to the beach! The house was lacking nothing. Everything was new and clean, lovely furnishings, lots of room for everyone. The kitchen had all the accessories you needed to cook meals for large groups. Couldn’t ask for a better house!

Did find a roach in the kitchen. Also need some pull down shades or something to that effect for the west facing windows so you can enjoy the sunset or not. Everything else was great. Lots of amenities. Great location. Also need a new grate for your grill. It was unusable to my standards. Grill very rusty. Beds were comfy ans would rent propery again.

Great house

The house was amazing, had 1 slight issue with the ac but owner responded via text even late at night faster then i would have expected and got it resolved the next day without interrupting any vacation plans of ours other then the small hiccup had a good time and enjoyed the house.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Surfside beach house! The switch activated shutters were a fantastic touch, adding both style and convenience. The home was well appointed with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay, and the parking was plentiful. The location was perfect, close to everything we needed. A couple of minor notes: if you're someone who likes to unpack, be aware there are no chests of drawers in the bedrooms. Also, the initial cleanliness wasn't perfect (no sign of bed bugs, pests etc.) but it wasn’t significant enough to take away from our experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there again!

Great stay!

Property is exactly as advertised, very clean, well stocked, great location. Short boardwalk to the beach. The beach allows car traffic and overnight camping (RV’s), so can be busy during holiday periods.

Enjoyed our stay!! The house was clean, neat and very organized. Things like hand soap, dish and laundry detergent were provided which means less to pack. Much appreciated!Plenty of space/roomy.Nice walkover to the beach, and such a great beachfront view.

This house is best of the best when it comes to beaches near Houston. Easy in and out, killer views of both the Gulf and the back bays, and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. This house can easily sleep 16+

Beautiful House

We visited Surfside to celebrate my late son's birthday with family. The house was beautiful. I would suggest maybe some curtains or shades in the front because the sun coming in them was bright and hot making it harder to cool the house down. Overall, can't complain the house was big enough for our crew to enjoy family time. We enjoyed our stay but be sure to bring plenty of bug spray. Mosquitos are horrible (not the owner's fault!).

Modern Surfside

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect and house was great. I grew up on a well so the water pressure issue is understandable. I would recommend a few things. Add at least one beach umbrella and some more beach chairs. The 2 in the garage were very rusted and insufficient. Also the lack of serving bowls and larger baking pans was an obstacle for a larger group. Still we managed 😁. I would definitely recommend the house to others and visit again with my family!

Modern surfside

Would not stay at house again! Party of 8 and could only take one shower at a time! No water pressure! Beds were super hard and not enough towels for 8 people! Had to use beach towels to shower! Not enough cups/glasses so had buy cups to use! Thermostats were programmed so would wake up to house being warm in the morning! Not like we needed ac set below 71! Location was good and ac did blow cold but difficult to use the thermostats! Great view of ocean and inter coastal!

Great space, great views, fabulous beach access. Needs some TLC

The house is well-suited for a family and group. Plenty of space and great access to the beach. The deck is glorious for morning coffee and afternoon relaxing. We all loved being so close to the beach. Unfortunately we had two issues during our weekend stay. While the owner was very responsive, it was a letdown that we had the issues at all - both of which could have been alleviated if routine maintenance was done. When we arrived at 4pm on Friday (the set check-in time), the housekeeper was still finishing up and told us there was no water. The owner was called and came quickly. It was determined that the water filters needed to be changed. Once that was done and we settled in, we realized that the second floor was 80' - the AC was not working. We called the owner and again she was responsive and found an AC person who came at 8pm and was there for over an hour. It was not draining, he got it drained and we had AC. The next day the system stopped working again. We went back and forth with the owner who was having trouble finding someone on a Saturday. She found someone - we had another repairman there again that evening. I missed the family time at the beach because I was with the AC technician. In the meantime, we had done some work to get it draining. With check-in at 4pm on Friday and checkout at 10am on Sunday, the hours we spend with repairman, cut into our time to relax. The owner did extend a 1pm check-out, but only because we asked. My recommendation is to take the time for regular maintenance - replacing filters, AC tune-ups. The property is fabulous, but our experience was diminished by having to manage TWO maintenance issues.

ROACH infestation!!!! DO NOT BOOK

We booked this home June 19th-23rd. On the day we checked in we went for a walk on the beach. When we returned it was dark and when we turned on the lights ROACHES!!! Not water bugs and not one or five, A BUNCH! On the walls, on the kitchen counter, in the kitchen cabinets, evrerywhere! I told Darlene the property manager immediately and an exterminator came out the next morning and told it "IT'S BAD" He said he'd have to fog and they could not rent that house again until he did. He also said we ran the risk of bringing the infestation back to OUR HOUSES! We called VRBO and EVOLVE immediately to check out that day and asked for a refund. We were told we'd get a FULL REFUND, but now both VRBO and EVOLVE are giving me the run around and not refunding my stay. I have pictures and video of these roaches that I'm posting here. Not sure if it will allow me to post the video. I TRY TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION AMICABLY, BUT THEY ARE GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND.DO NOT BOOK THIS HOME OR YOU COULD SUFFER A ROACH INVESTIGATION AT YOUR HOME.

Perfect layout of house for kids and adults

Teens upstairs, grown up downstairs! Kitchen galley style is a little tight, but utilized bar area as assembly line, and meal times were a cinch. Teens ate outside on the multiple picnic tables on ground floor and deck so teens and adults enjoyed table talk without drama 🤭. Beds were clean AND comfortable👍, AC works great throughout house, even in heat of day. Would stay here again, as location to beach, but away from crowds was great! Watching the moon eclipse from the huge deck was a bonus! Thank you for a great stay!

This house lived up to its listing and more! It was very clean, organized, spacious inside and a fantastic deck looking out onto the gulf. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

Not the Ritz ...but very nice.

The location is amazing and the property has everything you need for a family getaway. I was worried it had obstructed views and beach access but it was great. It's set back from the shore about 200 yards but nothing is in front and has direct access to a bridge that is shared with the four other similar adjacent properties albeit it's a long-ish walk. The place could use a coat of paint and shows a little wear/tear but for the TX Gulf Coast, this place is about as good as it gets esp. given the price. I would stay again and hope the owners keep up on the maintenance.
